It make the drums sound all 70s, to remove the bottom heads.
kinda, I only take them off for the Sound of song. the 70s had so many recordings , single headed like this. its neat sounding. I do only use one head from the KICK when Recording. I think it sounds better, more solid, under the Microphone :).
