    Wow!!! This stopped my left ear ringing which is significantly louder than the right. So far this is the best help I've gotten from sound therapy. Sound and medication is what caused my tinnitus when I was 19and now I'm 51. Thank you for your efforts to help us suffering from this situation.

    It significantly lessened my tinnitus immediately after removing the earbuds. It did come back, but this offers promise. Most relief I've had in a very long time! Thank you! Keep trying!

    This is the only combination of sound that actually causes a lessening of my 30 year hell of tinnitus. It makes it go to near silence after I listen, but does return. I have it on an mp3 player on loop for hours if necessary. Nothing else is as effective as this. Tried everything from herbs, osteopathy, supplements and other sound therapies. Sounds like liquid music. Very distinct tones. Thanks for uploading.

    Since my tinnitus changes all the time I have a hard time finding one sound that helps. Depends on a day, this sound is excellent, and actually when I heard it first time it was a huge relief. I listen to it few times a day, sometimes 3 sounds at the same time. Thank you

    I sent the following message to the American Tinnitus Association
    The first time I listened to it, my tinnitus went away completely for a day. While this doesn't happen every day, it does either temporarily eliminate the sound, reduce the level, or alter the sound so it is tolerable, You should share this formation with all your connections in the scientific community as I believe the creator is on to something.

    October 24: Thank you for creating this video. My tinnitus cycles unpredictably from very noisy high-volume days to low-volume days when it's audible but easier to ignore. Today it's fairly low volume, but still I could tell that this video had a definite positive effect of residual inhibition.
    I'm going to try listening to this for at least 10 minutes each day for the next week to 10 days and see if it helps when the tinnitus is much more intrusive, like when it's so loud that I hear it over almost everything. My tinnitus is heard in my head and sometimes in my right ear, sometimes both. It makes all kinds of noises: hissing, cymbals resonating, sizzling, bee swarm, squealing mosquitos, and a noise that sounds like knives being sharpened. I'm sharing all this information in case anyone else has severe tinnitus and is wondering if this audio might help.
    October 31, Edit to add: I downloaded the video, imported it into Sony Vegas, and rendered as an MP3. Listening at night prior to sleep doesn't really help, as the tinnitus stays at the same volume once the audio file ends. What I've noticed is that if I listen to it on my iPhone over and over during the day (like when I'm walking the dog or working on something outdoors), then the volume decreases after I stop listening to the audio. It even seems to carry over to the next day. My tinnitus cycles, so it may be a coincidence, but the last 3 days have been lower volume, which is unusual for me to have 3 days in a row. Last night I couldn't even hear it unless I really listened for it, which was amazing.
    An unusual thing I've noticed is that while listening to the audio, my tinnitus seems louder, like it's fighting to be heard. When the audio stops, the tinnitus volume drops down either to baseline or lower volume. For now, I believe this audio definitely creates a residual inhibition effect. Whether it will create some sort of permanent inhibition of the tinnitus, I don't know. I wish I knew how to create a notched therapy audio with this.

      What caused your tinnitus? Did you work somewhere with loud noise constantly?

    • @12thDecember
      @12thDecember 10 років тому

      Greg Monroe Tinnitus caused by repeated exposure to two very loud Shelties next door whose owner moved here in October 2013. Every time I step outside they begin their high-pitched barking and rush the fence and continue to bark until I go back inside. They aren't aggressive, they're just manic. I found out after it was too late that barking dogs can easily reach 110 decibels. I'm buying earmuffs to prevent further damage. The owner is clueless about how to train them and actually I think she's hard of hearing and so she doesn't really pay attention to the barking.
      I'm not convinced that this audio treatment is good for me. It sure helps me to fall asleep, believe it or not, but since listening to it my tinnitus has been extra noisy every day, except for today. I didn't listen to it last night. It might just be a coincidence so I'll try again in a few days.

      Can you please post another update? You've been most helpful so far, especially since the cause of my tinnitus was also two loud bangs (two separate incidents).

    • @12thDecember
      @12thDecember 9 років тому

      Christof H I'd be happy to update for you. Tinnitus is still fairly constant but not nearly as bad as it was in the beginning. I have been using ACRN therapy which you can read about on the TinnitusTalk dot com support forum, but I have to listen to it several hours a day. I also listen to it all night, at extremely low volume, just barely enough to hear. I made my own MP3 files and loaded them into my iPhone.
      My tinnitus has begun to cycle, meaning I'll have anywhere from 3 to 7 days in a row of intrusive noise, followed by a day or two of lower volume, then the volume ramps up again. It's weird, but I'm grateful for any relief. One thing that I think has really helped is that I've been taking GABA, a very inexpensive supplement, 500 mg at night right before I go to bed. Since having tinnitus, I always wake up sometime in the middle of the night. So I keep a glass of water and another GABA capsule on my nightstand, and when I wake up in the middle of the night I take that second GABA and go back to sleep. It seems to help my brain to calm down so the nerves aren't firing like crazy. Another supplement is idebenone, which you'll want to research it, but I think it helps.
      I hope this info helps.

    • @ChristofEightyEight
      @ChristofEightyEight 9 років тому

      12thDecember Thank you very much, mine is pretty much firing from the moment I wake up I can have six or eight good weeks and then six or eight bad weeks, it's not so much day to day, very stress and sleep depravity related.. In a good period I can have two calm hours and then I have to get really busy to distract myself. I don't wake up in the middle of the night, there are nights I only catch four hours and I'm wide awake and that throws my whole rhytmn out of whack. I have it nine months and change now. How about you?
      It's grown worse without much cause and I have a doctor's appointment on monday, I'll definitely ask about those medications and I'll be asking my pharmacist about the non-prescription ones. What are your eating habits? I definitely cut out caffeine and alcohol and I eat very little sugar anyway but how about spicy foods? They're a joy to me so I'd be annoyed to give them up. Sorry for all the questions, I'd love to pick your brain some more via e-mail or so but this is just as well as long as contact doesn't totally fall inactive like...now :-).

      I tried to find out about stem cell therapy but no one was doing it. The human race is so primitive. Gene therapy would not be relevant, that is not something that could be done to an adult human with trillions of cells, maybe to just genetically engineer a zygote.

  • @ChristofEightyEight

    update: after using it for some time at moderate (not soft) volume I've gotten some hiss that got loud for a couple of minutes. I turned it off and it went away in a matter of an hour or so, and completely when I slept. Now, it didn't make my tinnitus worse, since that ones a 6000khz and 8000khs relatively high tone in both ears (worse in the left) but I'm quitting this for now. I'm sorry to post another link, I have no association whatsover but this seems to relax me. It's not as "'busy"" sounding as some of these other so I can leave it on longer. Don't turn it way up, just get to the point where you can barely hear it and then turn it up fifteen percent or so. It can't be intrusive, I use it when surfing and performing tasks on the internet. www.yourepeat.com/watch?v=BHO_6nIDePU&list=RDQhCY7rew6Tc&index=4

      @path4659 10 років тому

      eap7719 Diana Nielsen thanks for your response! I want to try this as well. Not gotten a doctor's view on this but I am pretty sure my condition is purely neurological - I can still hear extreme high pitch noises (such as from electrical devices etc) I think if this works it should be able to help me as well. May I ask about your listening habits? What volume level (quite loud or barely noticable?) for example and what duration daily? Also have you listened to this while you are asleep? As scientists have recently been able to prove that listening to language courses at night can help, I wouldn't be surprised if your brain could also take in these auditory stimulants. The question is if this is medically advisable or not.

    • @eap7719
      @eap7719 10 років тому +1

      Pat H I listen to this daily with headphones for about 30 minutes. I listen at a moderate volume, not loud and not too low to where it's barely audible. I've never listened to it while sleeping and I'm not sure if that would help. I would consider asking your doctor about that. I do think that it's best to listen to it in the beginning for only short periods of time, maybe about 15 minutes a day, to see how your tinnitus responds to it. I hope this helps, if you have any other questions please feel free to ask.

      Supposedly if you had decreased hearing in that band, but you weren't completely deaf in it, if you listened to something like this that was filtered to just have those frequencies, it might decrease the tinnitus, because it's caused by your brain making a phantom signal in those frequencies since it is cut off, like phantom limb syndrome. Supposedly. Of course if you were deaf in that band completely you wouldn't hear it and it could do nothing for you.

    I've suffered with tinnitus for a long time, sometimes virtually unbearable and also other times not also bad. But usually there. A good friend tried something named 'Oakloe' and received results. I tried it too and have been so delighted. The ringing even now comes and will go, but it is much better. Thought this could be helpful.

    Update: I'll try this with an equalizer filtering out everything above 4000Hz since my hearing loss starts at roughly 5000Hz. Common sense would suggest everyone try to filter out their hearing damage frequency, feel free to correct me on this.

      It's not for everyone and it depends on how you got tinnitus the same as any other treatment for these disorders.. No one treatment is going to work for everyone. Common sense. It reduced my tinnitus by 90% after about 3 weeks of listening twice a day daily.

      Chiropracty is almost completely pseudoscience, and I say almost just because it MIGHT have an effect on an actual spine problem, but the promoters of it claim essentially that straightening the spine is the cure to all ailments and this is certainly one it won't help with. I did in fact try a fast, and longer than that. No effect.

      Tinnitus cause can be categorized into two types; VIBRATORY and NON-VIBRATORY. Vibratory tinnitus happens when there are problems in the central or peripheral nerves in your ears whereas Non-vibratory tinnitus is mainly caused by the muscles contraction disorder, changes in the ear canal and there is a blood flow problem to your ears. The latter category can be very serious if it is not treated early. To avoid all the worries get information on the tinnitus. I suggest you site tinnitusreliefinformation.com which is really awesome. Thank you for sharing the video

    Thank you for posting this sound therapy, medexamtoolsdotcom! It's good distraction for me while I'm listening to it, and it definitely makes my high-pitched tinnitus go a little lower in volume for a while after listening. Plus, I don't know why, the mixture of sounds just makes me smile -- perhaps just because it's so different from anything I've heard before; I start smiling even just thinking about listening to it. The higher-pitched sounds remind me very much of the pleasant sound of trickling water. Anyway, it's a little bright spot in my life -- thank you!

      Still listening to this most days, two or three times a day...Still loving it! Can't seem to listen to it without smiling and chuckling. Reminds me of listening repeatedly to a piece of classical music for orchestra -- as the days go by, I'm noticing the different "voices", "melodies", etc. more and more, just as I would with a symphony or concerto.
