Women CAN have G6PD deficiency. I am a woman and I have Class II type. Went undiagnosed for over 50 years bc no doctors considered it. Even after severe anemia and multiple bouts of pneumonia I was just told to eat liver and take iron supplements. Please do better medical practitioners.

It’s not about women can’t have it, but it is more common in male…sorry about that
it is sex linked..so women acquire it its heterozygous state..most are carriers
