Yea I tried it in the past I didn't like it whatsoever.
Alison, not sure if you still keep up with this or not, but have an opinion- Your dishwasher was clean from the start, but it was shinier after you ran it. Maybe it didn’t melt all the way like you said. Mine is just as clean as yours, but one time I left a few glasses of milk into it until I ran it. It smelled funky, and it came out great, no more smell. A few days ago I left pasta in it, now I need to clean it again. I used a bottle and the bottle was half full when the cycle was done. I’ll buy another bottle, but this time I’m going to pierce a hole in the plastic. I also keep the door open at least 20 minutes to dry it out.

Folks swear by this product. I am quite sure you did not research on the best way to use it. Did you run your sink faucet to "hot" before using, like the instructions on the bottle suggest? Are you really running the hottest WASH cycle? I question that because you did not show us all the selections you made on the machine. The creaking door shows us a laxity in the maintenance of your equipment. Based on the lack of rigor in your testing methods, I would need to question the conclusions reached on products you test. Sorry.

@@TheOptimalLife i just wanted to tell you that I give it a try because I bought it then I watch your video to Lear how to use it and I did exactly what you say in the video and mine works great.
I would be interested to see if your dishwasher has other issues related to temp. That wax should have melted.
It’s possible but I’ve used at least one other cleaner that also had a wax seal and the wax melted on that one without an issue so it’s hard to say. Thanks for watching!
It’s likely your water isn’t hot enough. It needs to be very hot to melt the wax plug. -
I’m going to try it in a few minutes. I normally keep my water heater on the lowest hot setting, there’s 3, so I turned it up awhile ago and will clean the dishwasher as soon as the burner turns off. Once completed I’ll put my water heater back to my normal setting which is the lowest of the hot positions.

Results - with my water heater set to very hot - I can confirm the product works as described. (For the record: my water heater setting options are Low, Medium, Hot, Very Hot. There’s A,B,C positions between Hot and Very Hot. I usually run it on hot but turned it to very hot for the test.) Although the product worked, it didn’t seem to work better than using vinegar. I’ll continue to use what I have remaining, 2 bottles, but might just switch back to vinegar after that.

I used the product a couple of times. It worked really good for me. It did what it said it would do. Made my dishwasher shine and smell good. I’m sorry it didn’t work for you. Did you try to run it again?
