Great job guys. One little point, "originally from Mexico." Suggests they live elsewhere. Try from Mexico or out of Mexico. 😊 They are Mexican and live in Mexico.
Fair enough
They opened for Three days Grace and Dany sang “painkiller “with them
I haven't listened to Three Days Grace in a long time. Pretty much since they changed singers
@@AceofBadeReacts almost every 3DG listener says the same. Personally, I had never heard them until I went to Kitchener, Ontario, Canada (I live nearby) to see The Warning open for them. I was aware that Dany might sing with them again and waited...Dany blew the place up. ua-cam.com/video/1xhGgoKsDTA/v-deo.htmlsi=xebmgeZ2RP8VK1qr
The guitar from Lizzi came with the instruction "Rock it as hard as you can" So the wall is not an option
haha well if they were told to, then...
Apparently Pau learnt to sing whilst drumming by singing whilst running on a running track
Rock it hard and rock it loud!
This venue is a 3100 seater that they sold out 2 nights in a row.
That's awesome!
They still live in Mexico in Monterrey, NL!
Ooh ok
They also opened for Foo Fighters, Guns'n'Roses, Def Leppard and more...
They're going to be a headliner soon if they haven't already
@@AceofBadeReactsthey are and they are scheduled to play at Wacken this year.
@@Caustic6969 wow that's awesome
CDMX stands for "Ciudad de Mexico", Mexico City was up until 2016 named Distrito Federal (DF). So Teatro Metropolitan CDMX means Theater Metropolitan in Mexico City!
Oh awesome! Thank you for explaining that
Pau on lead in this concert, check out: Dust to Dust and 23.
I'll add them to the list
A penny for each time...😊
You need More!
(You've been Warned.!)
There will be more in the future
A thinly veiled criticism of people getting sucked into radical online ideologies.
Dany plays the part of the online influencer (The sun is your enemy today), and Pau plays the part of the victim that buys into it (The sun is my enemy today).
They point out that truth lives in the light, and lies live in the dark. (Hate will always be a good friend when the sun goes down).
Perfect analysis.
Thank you for explaining it
Exactooo!
Well said Russ. The Warning live up to their name. I agree with their assessment of today's world and they use their unique style of rock to deliver their message.
You nailed it bro 🎉
FWIW: The full Teatro Metropolitan Concert (Mexico City) is posted on The Warning's channel...
The Warning really shine in their live performances, one of the rare bands that actually sound better live then they do on their albums, not that the albums sound bad! Awesome reaction, and I hope to see more of The Warning on your channel!
So far 3 songs and I can say there will be more in the future
Yes this is in Mexico City thats what the CDMX stands for. Anything from this show is a instantaneous 10.
Halestorm "I Am The Fire" is a great one to start with.
I don't think I've heard that one before. I'll add it to the list
Greetings from Denmark. I've seen TW live more times this year (small/medium size venues, on festival stage, opening for Muse. The energy coming from TW is incredible regardless of the venue size. They deliver everytime. They write lyrics far beyond their ages (and have done always) and they pay lot of attention to the composition to. All 3 of them are involved in everything. Pau comes most of the time with an idea, but then they work on the lyrics and each others' instrumental parts drum fills/guitar riffs/bass lines, vocal delivery, etc. together. That is pretty unique.
Greetings!
Their harmonies is one of their super powers. They are so good at it and do it very tastefully.
I think I can agree
Every song from The Warning needs to be reviewed with the lyrics, innate message & back story, if available.
Because they are the most intellectual band to emerge in decades. Their profound metaphorical songwriting on contemporary society sets them apart from the crowd.
So you can always read what the band says about their songs during your reviews. Their ages at the time of composing a song & playing it in public should be noted too in reviews.
This song is about how social media controls us with fabricated info. Pau, the drummer, got inspired about the main riff in a Canadian supermarket in 2019. She came home, composed the 1st draft on her piano including the bass intro and called her sisters. They were 19, 17 & 14 then. Then together they finalized Disciple working out every minute detail.
Dany, the guitarist, starts the song as an antagonist with "The sun is YOUR enemy today" while Pau picks it up as a disciple in the 2nd verse with "The sun is MY enemy today". The sisters trade off lead vocals as demanded by the script. You can make out the difference in their vocal textures. Ale, the bassist, mainly harmonizes in the lower frequencies with infrequent falsettos as required by the song.
The Warning are masters in composing in minor scales. Quite often they introduce a full sequence of major chords for the same verse to break the monotony. And that downward bend in vocals here is typically The Warning with this progression G Bb E A G#m . I mean G & G#m in the same sequence - incredible.
Among their 3 full albums & 2 EPs the girls have published a concept album in 2018 called Queen of the Murder Scene where they have mused over unrequited love, death, self harm, suicide & lunacy. Pau was in middle school going through her emo phase when she tabled the 1st draft in front of her sisters. Just to keep it in context, five decades back Roger Waters dealt with death, lunacy & depression in The Dark Side of the Moon.
Dive into their rabbit hole that stretches back more than a decade to when they were playing classical piano as 6-8 year olds. Its all on YT. They have practically grown up on social media. After watching your reaction I am confident that you won't be disappointed. Happy diving from Kolkata, India.
CDMX is the acronym dor Ciudad Mexico (Mexico City), the capital city of the country with the same name. I hope I helped :)
It did
@@arctic_haze CDMX = Ciudad de México. Not "ciudad México"
December 13th is the birthday of Alejandra Villarreal Velez, a princess who was born to play bass and enchant those who love rock and roll. God bless her...
Maybe I should have released this reaction tomorrow
Ale was born to do this. She is so comfortable playing and making it look so easy. Her bass and her become one. A master.
Enjoyed your reaction. Check out 23 from the same concert to see more of Pau singing lead while playing drums! 👍😎
For sure!
ACE, you score plenty of points with this video. Most of all, for introducing someone new to The Warning. Thanks for providing a link to the original video and we all need to watch, like and comment on the artists original videos.
100%. I like bringing my streaming friends in to listen to music and either check out something new or introduce me to something new. I always will give credit to the artists. If not for them, the reaction videos wouldn't be a thing
Dany most assuredly uses the gifted instruments for a few songs. She mostly plays her various PRS guitars, but she uses the one from Lzzy on Enter Sandman (a very different Enter Sandman), and the one from Matt Bellamy on a few songs also. Lzzy told her to rock it loud and hard, which is the proper way (IMO) to treat such a gift.
"Teatro Metropolitan" is simply "Metropolitan Theater"; Teatro is pronounced accordingly. It's in Mexico City (CDMX is Ciudad de Mexico, literally Mexico City). The Metropolitan concert is definitely a great choice for anything they played there. It was the largest headline concert (about 3500) they had played as of then; it has been exceeded at least twice since then, at Monterrey (4000) and the Pepsi Center in Mexico City (8000), but no professional recordings are available from that (yet). They played a pair of new songs at those concerts, Sick and Hell You Call A Dream (often referred to as HYCAD). The latter features some vocal counter-melody by Ale that IMO is her best singing yet (she's not so much shy as inclined to let her sisters talk, which they will, and she does not enjoy singing lead). They also performed two songs at the MTV Video Music Awards, More (which is new) and Evolve (their usual encore). For Evolve, I would pick the VMA version; the mix is better, with Ale's harmonies higher in the mix (her mic level is a bit low at TM).
Their songs vary a lot; Disciple is a conventional rocker, albeit with lots of twists and turns along the way and the split leads, but they play a lot of different styles within the overall genre of rock.
I actually did react to evolve. There is a playlist linked at the end of this video with The Warning reactions on it of the ones I've done so far.
@@AceofBadeReacts That Evolve was from MTV VMAs 2023. You probably missed the context. The Warning were the 1st Mexican rock band to play at VMAs. They also played "MORE" there. You should react to it as well to see how versatile the girls are musically.
They made me watch MTV after 3 decades.
@@MrSudeepdas It's insane that MTV is still around since it's basically the Rob Dyrdek Network. I'll add that one to the list as well
The Warning (TW) has a large and extremely loyal international fanbase known as The Warning Army (TWA).
They are very passionate about the details of the band and will make sure you have the relevant facts so please don’t take that the wrong way, it’s intended to be educational.
You’ll likely see the 3 sisters referred to collectively as DPA which is the first initial of their first names in chronological order ( Dany, Pau and Ale).
Other abbreviations you’ll likely see a lot is XXICB which is their first album and title track which is XXI Century Blood or 21st Century Blood.
The next is album and title track of their 2nd album is QOTMS or Queen of the Murder Scene.
Their 3rd album and title track are simply called Error as well as their first EP and title track Escape the Mind.
Some other common song title abbreviations you may see are WIA for When I’m Alone, D2D for Dust to Dust, SS for Sinister Smiles, KAK for Kool Aid Kids and HYCAD for Hell You Call A Dream.
After the release of their currently untitled 4th album which is collectively referred to as TW4, TW will have well over 60 original songs in their catalog that are all very good.
Yeah I'm learning about the abbreviations and I'm doing the best I can trying to follow them
Simply bad ass Mexican sisters with so much raw talent energy and Passion! The Warning has put Mexico on the world stage when it come to ROCK! Viva Dany, Pau and Ale 🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽
She has been WARNED!!
Dollcake very much has
Definitely hehe 😊
Ale is a little more of an introvert than Pau or Dany but she is also the youngest of the three and holds her own when she needs to. Ale is also often the driving force of the songs with her bass. I would suggest the video The Warning X Anniversary that they premiered commemorating 10 years as a band. A good video about the guitars you mentioned is from the Digital Tour Bus channel and is called The Warning's Daniela Villarreal Vélez - GEAR MASTERS Ep. 471. Episode 473 is Ale talking about her bass setup.
I'll check them out
There are a lot of videos available from that concert. They are all FIRE! Yes check them out
I have heard the concert is very good
They have also opened for Foo Fighters, Guns and Roses , Stone Temple Pilots, Sammy Hagar and Three Days Grace .Teatro means theater in spanish. So it translates to Metropolitan theater. The CDMX stands for Mexico City. Great reaction . Glad you likes it. I will go ahead and suggest some Hailstorm - I Am The Fire
I'll add it to the list
Also opening for Def Leppard, the Killers and have been in many festivals with many great artist more
Great reaction Ace and Dollcake!
The Villarreal Velez sisters are amazing songwriters and performers from Mexico who live in Monterrey, San Pedro Garza Garcia, Nuevo Leon. Each one of their original songs is great. Their second album, "QUEEN OF THE MURDER SCENE", is a concept album. It follows a girl's journey into unrequited love; from infatuation and obsession on into stalking and murder, then madness and the fight over her soul. It is a masterpiece. It was nominated for Best Rock Album at the 2019 Independent Music Awards.
Their 1st full-length LP, "XXI CENTURY BLOOD", is also very good and is packed with many great songs. The video for the title track, "XXI Century Blood", was nominated for and won many awards.
Their very 1st released recordings are from their 6 song EP, "ESCAPE THE MIND"; and it is amazing.
Despite being courted by numerous offers from many major record labels, The Warning have stayed independent through the years; relying on crowd funding to finance their projects. They refused to give up creative control over their material ... down to even the clothes they wear on stage.
After 7 months of negotiations, The Warning signed a 5 album recording contract with Lava/Republic Records/Universal Music Group in the fall of 2020.
They decided to release 1/2 (6 songs) of their completed 3rd full-length album in an EP called "MAYDAY" October 8th, 2021. The entire album was released June 24th, 2022: called "ERROR". "Disciple" is my favorite track!
They have recently finished recording their 4th studio album: no name or release date yet.
The Warning do not come from a family of musicians, however, their parents are huge fans of classic rock.
Both parents are professionals (recording engineer and dentist) and they enrolled their daughters into a private Catholic English Bilingual school Liceo de Monterrey, Mexico.
They also started the girls with classical piano lessons at ages 6, 4 and 5 years old.
Regular family functions included gathering around the TV with popcorn and watching LIVE concert dvds of legendary bands like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Queen and AC/DC.
When their parents got them the video game Rock Band at ages 8, 6 and 3, they went nuts playing it obsessively. Shortly thereafter they got real instruments with lessons from professional teachers: and the rest is history. Amazing they are 23, 21 and 18 years old and have already written, arranged, and released #46 original songs (and recently finished recording their 4th studio album). They recently performed 2 songs at the MTV VMA's.
I was fortunate enough to get to meet them after their show January 16th, 2020 at The Whisky a Go-Go in Hollywood, California. I had the opportunity to meet with them 3 more times during the 10 shows I attended on their 2022 North American MAYDAY Tour and 2023 ERROR WORLD TOUR.
Aside from their music, they are just normal, sweet, intelligent, and fun-loving young ladies who are truely grateful and endearing to their fans.

Love this reaction format! Teatro Metropólitan CDMX - so "Teatro" is pronounced "teh-AHT-roh" and CDMX is Ciudad de México - Mexico City. Yep, this whole concert is well worth a listen!
Thank you! yeah I wanted to bring in other content creators for this music journey I'm on. Some of them suggest their own songs and others I introduce the list to and we go from there. Awesome. Thank you for the information as well
Both of you should react to The Warning "Revenant" live at Teatro Metropolitan CDMX (same concert). Pau sings lead, they have a guest guitarist (Primo Villarreal), and their harmonies are breathtaking. You have been Warned by the Queens of the Rock scene!
We'll be sure to check it out
"Tay-atrro Metrropo-lee-tahn" . Dany plays both of her gift guitars live and mentions that the Lzzy Hale guitar has already suffered a minor injury to its finish. They also speak Spanish when performing in other Spanish-speaking countries like Argentina, Colombia, Peru and...Spain!
At least it's only a minor injury
Thanks for coming back to the ladies. At ages 23, 21 and 18 (19 tomorrow) perhaps the most exciting band all born in the 2000’s. They moved me out of my indifference to the current music scene, inspiring me to buy my first concert tickets in this century (saw them open the 1st of about 20 shows with Three Days Grace).
That's awesome. Maybe I should have dropped this reaction tomorrow instead 😂
Best live band I've ever experienced. On top of being amazing at everything they do, they are also some of the nicest and humblest people I've ever met. I don't have daughters, but if I did The Warning would definitely be their role models. Subscribed.
That's awesome
*Disciple* is one of their songs about social media and how it affects people in ways they don't even know...
*XXI Century Blood* , *Z* , and *Kool-Aid Kids* are three others that also speak about social media... the 1st one, XXICB, has an OMV that tells a story... it and the director were nominated for (and won?) several awards when it was released in 2017 when Dany was 17, Pau was 15, and Ale was 12 😹
TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA
That's awesome. And a good message
If you like strong vocals you really need to check out Choke live from that same Teatro show. Survive, Z, Money, Queen of the Murder Scene, are all also some of my personal favorites from the show.
I'll be sure to check it out
One of those bands you absolutely must see live!
Maybe I will be able to one day
Also note, this theater is at about 7300' elevation above sea level, in comparatively rarefied air. Yet Pau sings her lungs out while killing her drums and sticks! She practices singing while running on a treadmill. These three want success so bad they can taste it.
Yeah I heard she practices on the treadmill. That's a great way to do it
Teatro translation is THEATER so you have METROPOLITAN THEATER.. this show is 22 songs. One of the best live shows I've seen in years. To see Paulina shine try the song 23 or Revenant.. 🤟🎶☮️
ooh ok. I get it now.
Absolutely! If this was sold as a DVD I would buy it. This is my favorite live concert from any band I play the full video at least once a week in the background.
@@j.j.herrick6871 Heck, yeah. They should release it as a Blu-Ray, DVD, CD, and Vinyl. I think they should go through ALL their official live recordings and do a "Best of The Warning Live" release. The entire 22-song concert is worth a listen. I've seen it multiple times and I'm amazed every time. They've put several excellent live shows on their channel. Look them up!
Thanks for the reaction! There are 22 videos from this concert in Mexico City, my favorites(after Disciple) are Animosity, Amour, Survive, “23”, and Queen Of The Murder Scene! Looking forward to the next time!!!😊⚡️

For sure. There will be more Warning in the future
It's very good that TW was liked by both of you in this one, which is just a sample of their incredible talent.
DPA...
They have a formidable innate talent, each one of them. Innate but with practice taken to the sublime.
Despite their youth, they already have a lot of experience on their path in addition to their great preparation since they were children.
Their attitude, discipline and will to achieve their goals are leading them to great, well-deserved achievements.
Daniela, Paulina y Alejandra…
They are still on the road to the top, but with too much potential, enough to think it will be inevitable.
Furthermore, the volume of quality that each of their creations implies is great… and the number of songs that carry said quality is enormous, which for me could be “The Warning label”.
I’m sure that each of their creations is subjected to a meticulous quality process before finally seeing the light…
And not only in the technical aspect, but we have also already proven that they have an exquisite taste for good music that emanates from them when they become inspired and creative.
Added to all this is that they are surrounded by an excellent family and fraternal team totally committed to their project…
And they have a fan base, “The Warning Army”, tremendously loyal to them that is decisively involved in supporting them because they have deservedly earned it for being incredible and surprising human beings.
Knowing this will give you a much better perspective to better value Dany, Pau and Ale, and maybe you will understand that TW is not just a band of talented girls who make good songs…
No, it's about music, really art with the brilliance of a "masterpiece" created and performed by three genius performers from an early age who have been developing and evolving by leaps and bounds.
The beauty of their art lies in its simplicity.
Each of these amazing rock masterpieces must be appreciated in all its dimensions and then be surprised again that they are creations of those who have wonderful talent but who, due to their age, still have much more talent to develop.
They are already admirable but their potential increases exponentially as they achieve success.
As long as all this continues to flow with this equation they will soon reach the top of the world where they deserve to be.
We're always looking for more from our favorite band of all time.
Thanks and regards from México!! 🇲🇽
