  • We continue expanding our dedicated passenger and dedicated freight setups to more cities in our network. We expand the freight hauling capacity and start feeding growth in Luxembourg, Brussels, and Lille.

    There is so much more money to be made on PAX than we are currently getting. Passengers and Mail actually have 'Destinations', just like freight. When we set up the short, close, point to point city connections, we do the demand for each city to the one, two, or three other closet cities .. but passengers will only ride so far before they stop getting on the train.
    Basically, if you analyze a given city, you can see the demand that is not being met and if you create a direct line from your city you are analyzing to the first one where you are not meeting PAX demand, then those two cities will start swapping passengers and mail, and those two endpoints will then start accepting mail for further down the line. Or you can go out 1 or 2 cities further and they will meet demand in both directions from the furthest city. The cash printing is basically endless.
    I have also made the decision not to throw away those long (sometimes even 3-way) Express or wagon transfer lines. I create the express line like we normally do (single track and based on speed), but afterwards I double track it and use it for long distance PAX.
    I just finished Scenario 10 (Mostly France, England, and some other EU countries). I finished 21st out of 234 (well above 700K score) and had $40 Million cash left over. Only 4 scenarios left before I finish them all. Then I will start over to do them better 😃
    Or maybe I will start a Custom Map and play a Whole USA or Europe map and see how that pans out.

      I’ve been wondering about that. The UI makes it look like passengers will only do 1 transfer, and my train % is always low no matter now many trains I run. I’m thinking to start adding one express from the center of each group of 3 to the center of another group of 3.

      On a similar note, do warehouse to warehouse transfers work? I know you can use a warehouse to transfer from one line to another - line-warehouse-line. But can you actually transfer through multiple warehouses, like line-warehouse-line-warehouse-line? I was assuming yes, but if it’s actually no and they only do 1 transfer like passengers, that would explain a lot of problems I had with campaign 4.

    Interesting concept to have your Mail and Pax from two different stations. I was only last night wondering why anyone would use the restaurant/market combo vs restaurant/post office combo.
    Two stations/One line concept I can see work. To get true value though I imagine you would have to ramp up the volume of trains (pax & mail) 🤔 to make it worthwhile? I cannot see 1xpax & 1xMail as good value for early cash. In order to do that the city would need to grow so maybe in the short term it is a distraction to the tasks ahead and growing the cities. Nonetheless looks like it works a treat mid to late game especially with the then separate freight lines. Looks fiddly and a lot of micro but where’s the fun without a bit of micro and the building of the mega lines side by side 😅.
    Do you ever ride along? Not something I enjoyed in RE1 but the graphics, views and ability to move around the train in RE2 make it really enjoyable, and watching an express line come thundering by.

    Ostend is a Belgian city on the coast that connects the European mainland with an undersea railway to England. This train is called 'Eurostar'.This railway was put into operation November 14, 1994.
    You going to need that connection in a few scenarios and DLCs of Railway Empire 2.

      The Eurostar Tunnel runs from Calais to Folkestone not from Ostend 😃

      @AraRoodbuik Рік тому

      @@knightwish1623 I never said or claimed that. I say that there is a euro tunnel from Ostend to England that connects the mainland of Europe with the island of England. You don't see me saying that the Eurostar departs from Ostend. There are several connections to England by train. I live near Ostend and take the train to England from Ostend on a very regular basis. 🙂

      I'm trying to come up with a good (but quick) way to describe the calculation for how many trains to run. I know to a listener it is all gibberish. It makes perfect sense to me.

    In real life, Ostend is one of the principal cross-Channel ferry ports from the Continent to the UK, Adekyn.

    Logs, logs, logs! Your early downfall as you did it wrong again, I think. ;-p Oh well, you commented on the last logs comment that eventually you'll probably get it all sorted!

    How to you like the game?
    I haven't played so match :/
    But i think i like it! :D
    Little easier then the first game. So match track building is automatic, that's both good i bad i think., little to easy?

    You are putting the towers on your freight lines, but correct me if I'm wrong, the TANK doesn't use towers, or am I wrong?

    • @pterrok5495
      @pterrok5495 Рік тому

      Well, it would future proof by having the tower and it's a good rhythm to get into, BUT, I know what you mean--there was ONE loco that had it's own built in supplies when he showed them all in that 1st episode. Not at all sure which one it was though.

    • @Adekyn100
      @Adekyn100  Рік тому +1

      When I first read the description of the tank I thought the same thing, that the tank doesn't need supplies. The tank doesn't require a tender - the little car that runs right behind the engine and holds fuel. It still needs supplies.

      @colindouglas7769 Рік тому

      It's still a steam locomotive, and all steam locomotives need water. I've yet to encounter one that doesn't; don't think one of those has been invented yet.

    Did you really set up LUX RAWX with dedicated lines for LUX and BRU to run full but also used these dedicated lines for Logs and Sugar input as well? Hopefully the cities love Grain. Squirrels are becoming quite an issue.
