I saw your youtube video entitled : Best Expert Advisor for Small Accounts in 2024! (I used with Fxview Broker) and then downloaded the expert advisor. After a few tries, I wondered if some improvements couldn't be made. But as I don't know anything about code, I couldn't make them myself, which is why I'd like to ask you for an update.
The first improvement would be the ability to choose the robot's behavior.
1 Buying and selling
2 Buy only
3 Sell only
The advantage would be for someone who already has an idea of the long-term trend to avoid certain positions he doesn't want to take.
The second improvement would be the ability to choose whether or not to close the position when an opposite signal is detected.

The robot was recently updated. In terms of choosing the trade directions, you can do this in the properties when attaching the EA to your chart, or, by hitting the F7 key when it is already attached to the chart.
Hi petco kindly make a file of EA buy and sell seperately martingale ea with with 3 lot exponent on it like mean ea open three lots with same number after every 5 or 15 or any time frame example 1 then after 5min 1, then after 5 min1 then 2 after 5min 2, after min 2 then 3, 3, 3 then 4, 4, 4 just like that and so on desired multiplyer or lot exponent, as a indian youtube devtube working with that kind of EA and running consistantly you can also back test on cent account as well

Hi PharaelMartins, you can simply disable auto trading. If you have open positions, close them too. This will however stop all EAs from trading. If you want to disable just one, you can close the chart. When you want to re-enable it, simply open a new chart with the chosen asset and timeframe and drag the EA back onto the chart. Be sure to enable auto trading before you do.

Yes, it's the same. In MT4 it's called Auto Trading, in MT5, it's called Algo Trading

Hi GB-kl2pd, this EA is designed and created for Forex only. You can however run a backtest on the indices of your choice and see the results, but when creating EAs for specific assets, you should use that historical data

Give it a try with a different broker with tighter spreads. Make sure your modelling is set to Open Prices Only.

The number of trades that open will depend on the market. You can ask the developer to include a maximum open positions setting in a custom set file.
You can run the EA on one chart at a time only, so only 1 asset, but you can install it on different charts with different assets, but make sure the asset is one that the EA has been designed and optimised for.
This ea needs lot size calculator according to the stop loss

Hi faridulislam969, yes, you can. We provide the source code so you can make any changes you want to. In terms of parameters, this depends on the other indicators, and the period you're testing on. The easiest would be to import the robot back into EA Studio, add the Bollinger Band, and change settings, looking at the real-time backtest results with each change. Hi @mouradkh260, Backtesting can be performed in a program like EA Studio, that will automatically change the balance line as changes are made. I'm not sure what you mean by forward testing.
@@PetkoAleksandrov if I would like to do backtesting over a long period, several years following the different phases of the markets, but I want to have the results month by month, since doing it manually on mt4 will take a lot of time and it's tiring, I saw a video on UA-cam someone do it with macros on Excel and have the summary on Excel which visualizes the results month by month with the DD and the ROI for each month over the period of several years, I hope I have been clear. thank you sir
I can do that. Code to record the account performance at end of each month and save to a .cvs file which can be imported into excel.

Hi TravelTip325, you may not have enough historical data bars from your broker. Stop the auto scrolling, and hold down the 'Home' key to get as many bars as you can. Do this for all time frames of the asset.

Hi jassaim696, you don't necessarily need to set your own parameters. One of the most effective ways to trade with EAs is to install many on a demo account, and monitor their performance in current market conditions. Then choose the best performers and move those into a 2nd account to see how they'll perform. After compiling the EA to ex4, the input parameter a bit different, what value should i key in for Period and Deviation % ??? (both input parameter under ENVELOPES Section)
If you are using MT4 (ex4), no compiling is needed. We only compile in MT5. No changes to the EA or indicator settings is required

No, only for MT5 do we need to compile. For MT4, simply copy it into the Experts folder, and refresh your Navigator window

Hi OnTheGoInspiration, are you seeing the smiley face in the top right hand corner? It could also be that no trades have opened simply because the rules of the strategy haven't been met in order for the EA to open trades.

Hi alfioled, Yes, this is normal. That is why we are constantly testing hundreds of expert advisors on demo accounts and only trade those that are currently profitable in current market conditions in our live account. All expert advisors will go through profitable and unprofitable periods. To get a better idea of the overall profitability in the long term of the expert advisor I would suggest running a back test of at least five years. Just make sure that your broker has provided enough historical data to enable you to run a long back test

Hi cloudthompson8942, all EAs will go through profitable and unprofitable periods depending on market conditions. The idea is to keep the EA in a demo account, and only trade with it on a live account when it is in a profitable phase.

It is not possible to trade with EAs on a mobile phone, unless you connect to a VPS. Otherwise, you'll need a PC or laptop running the Metatrader platform.

Hi andreclint, your account balance is too small. Set up an account with $10K, or change your entry lots to very small, but even so $100 will be too little

Tested it with your settings for year 2023 from jan to dec, 2$ is the net profit....
With an EA trading such a small account, you need to make sure you select a broker with very tight spreads, no commissions and preferably don't keep trades open over night to avoid swap fees

Hi, I'm quite new to MT4. Followed your steps, tested the strategy on MT4 on a period of 10y (EURUSD M15) but in my case I got a -110€ loss (balance 1.000) using 0.01 lots. Other parameter SL 30 Pips, TP 60 Pips, ADX 45, F-MA 18, S-MA 42. Am I doing something wrong?
Not necessarily. Your broker's fees and spreads would impact performance, as well as your leverage and account size. Also, all EAs will go through profitable and unprofitable periods, and the idea is to keep the EA on a demo account, monitor it's performance and only trade with it when it's in a profitable phase.

You will need to open an account with a broker - either live or demo, download the Metatrader platform and attach the EA to a chart. Once you are profitable, you can withdraw the profits if you are trading on a live account

Hi aniebietasanga, we don't typically share our results on live accounts, due to the results being quite different depending on your broker. Why not backtest it with your broker and see the results you would have gotten over the last 4 weeks.

I would probably sign up for a Darwinex Zero account, and use a few hundred dollars for a good robot or 2. With $1000 you can pay for your subscriptions for a few years

Hi C you can change the parameters of the EA when you add the robot to your chart and the properties window opens up, or edit the EA using Notepad
how do you set up automatic trading in mt5?
You open a chart that you want to trade, enable Algo Trading at the top of your chart, and then attach the EA onto your chart

Thats not true what you are saying here. There is nothing to do with the account size but more with what type of account and broker you are using. Maybe it will work better with a ecn or pro account or maybe standard account.

Hi wiki4672, you don't necessarily need a VPS, but if you are unable to keep your PC/laptop open 24 hours a day to let the EAs open and close trades uninterrupted, or your internet connection isn't completely stable, a VPS is the best solution.

There could be a number of reasons for this. Make sure you've enabled auto trading before placing the EA onto the chart. Also, trades will open when market conditions are right. Make sure your entry lots are not too big for your account balance. You can run a backtest to see if trades should have opened. Make sure to use Open Prices Only as your model. Lastly, you can check the journal for any errors.

Hi lipanj1, this could be because of the broker and their fees, market conditions, lot sizes, and several other factors.
Can I trade with other forex pairs with this EA?
The EA has been created using historical data from the EURUSD pair and on the M15 timeframe. It may work with other assets, but I wouldn't recommend it. But, you can run a backtest on different assets to see past results.
I got the EA to the metatrader 5, was able to install, got into the M15 EURUSD, I have some statistics showing on the graphic like:
"position open: no open position"

If you have installed the EA correctly, and see a blue hat in the corner, the EA is working on the chart. It will open trades when it receives a signal from the market, based on the indicators and parameters of the EA

You don't define the open price. The trade will open when market conditions trigger the rules within the strategy. There are indicators and parameters coded into the EA. When the EA received a signal that these conditions have been met according to the market, trades will open
Trying to use this EA but getting "Error with OrderCheck: Trade Disabled" in the Experts log when it tries to place a trade. Anyone else had this issue and know how to fix it?
It could be that your broker is not allowing trades to open. Try on a demo account with a different broker
