    Quite a few alumni have marched DCI. The female snare player for Blue Devils this past season (the first in about 50 years) graduated from Ayala. They have also had several other battery members and even more front ensemble members make it into BD and other similar corps.

    So I'm from Dartmouth and I'd just like to offer my congratulations to Ayala. They had an amazing show, and their members are always nothing but respectful and kind. Much respect.

    Ayala was actually the first school to use the Tama marching line. Their instructor helped design them as the season went.

    There's more than just the regular 4, they usually have names, 6th base is called "Impact bass" a lot. But they are just continually deeper.

    There's no such thing as too cocky. Like I said performance is half the judge's sheets, literally. They really know how to perform and it's crazy.

    It might be to avoid an awkward step over when he changes directions a few seconds later, because he is the only one marching there, and it might look better to step out with the right than cross over with the left foot at 4:05. Just a guess though.

    I think it was all recorded by the same person in multiple takes. They probably just ran a chunk, recorded it, had the cameraman move to a different location, record the next chunk, and so on.

  • @chickenboy808
    @chickenboy808 12 років тому

    I didn't say it needs to be left either. I was just asking. Since they stepped off on left the whole time except for that one instant. Wasn't sure if it was an accident or intentional.

    I never said Woodbridge was bad, I actually think they are absolutely amazing. And just because they won, doesn't mean Ayala isn't good. It just means that Woodbridge was better this year (and obviously other years as well). But again, just because Woodbridge won by a large point margin doesn't mean that a 96.35 "fucking sucks".

    I notice everyone is wearing a hoodie so I’m not sure if that the style they were going for. But you have to be careful with that as if they’re too far forward they will obstruct your field of vision to your left and right. One wrong drill move or step size and you’re screwed.

  • @ScarlettJones96

    The drumline is made up of two sections. The pit and the batterie. That's why at drumline contests the pit and the batterie perform together. A lot of people say the drumline is just the batterie, but we're all percussion. We're a team. The pit gets a bad reputation, but we work hard too.

    this is a massive school. several thousand students id guess.... a school of one thousand students could not afford this. they also have a much MUCH larger talent pool to choose from. at my school, any one who wants to join, can join band. here however i'm sure the overall percentage of students in band is much smaller.

  • @dcidrummer2012

    The school is pretty average in size in comparison with all other southern california schools, actually its probably a tad smaller. We get the same talent as every other high school does keep in mind they must lean everything just like every one else has to. We just turn these kids in to what you see, and they work incredibly hard at it.

    Not gonna lie, but if this is an early season. Then late season sounds badass. But one thing. The drums are kind of bland. I don't know if it's because of the gym but the snares are really deep. Not enough crisp.

    • @loganweekly-wilson9511

      +ThatOne Channel Their uniforms for that year had hoods so naturally the instructional staff wanted them to wear hoods during rehersal so the ensemble would be used to the restrictions of the uniform. So smart instruction and an efficient rehearsal technique, yes, but by no means disrespectful. Do research next time
