It sounds shonky, but using a plastic tube to listen for noises - one end to your ear, the other pressed to bits of the casing - can really help amplify and locate noises. Might help pinpoint the problem gear/s. Assuming it clicks under zero load, of course... kind of hard to do while running after it! 🤓🤣

Many automotive mechanics have a tool that is very similar to a doctors stethoscope, has a rubber hose and a thing that attatches to the end that is a metal probe.... for pinpointing bearings going bad or other noises... without the attatchment, the open ended tube can help find vacuum leaks and such... something like this could help... and could give a little stationary load just by holding it or tieing back bumper to something and making it just spin tires, while listening to see if it is in a diff, front of trans, transfer case, etc...
I will look up the video mentioned above, but another one I watched showed one without the noise, he said it was partly due to not wrenching trans bolts overly tight... his video was a green one with black trees along the bottom of the body...

I was told the clicking can be a couple different things. The first is your dig, it needs to be rounded where it locks together. And the second is your ring and pinion. Your pinion need to be shimmed. You might try either of those. Thanks for the great videos.

No need to hook it up to a PC or fumble around like with the older GSM-010 unit or it's clone unit from Dynamite. The GPS-015 sells for about $55 same as the older GPS-010 so one may as well buy the newer model. The Dynamite version is a ripoff at $90 especially for being a first gen Skyrc clone.

A mile is 5,280ft. A 1/10 scale RC doing 6.2-Mph in 1st (crawling) gear is doing the 'scale' equivalent of 62-Mph for a 1/1 scale vehicle. 9.4-Mph in 2nd-gear then equates to 94 'scale' miles per hour. The average walking speed is 3-Mph. This RC goes 2X as fast in 1st gear as a human walks. Why does Axial(or Traxxas) think the complexity & added maintenance concerns of a 2-speed transmission are necessary for this type of RC?
