Courtney did not win AGT. But Simon Cowell signed her to a multi million dollar record deal. She is almost done recording her first album now. Courtney has done 4 amazing acoustical cover songs just for fun on her Vevo channel. All 4 songs are live performances. She is outstanding! Courtney Hadwin is my favorite performer and singer ever. I wish people would also react to the rest of her AGT performances. This girl is a rare talent indeed. She's amazing. Her new independent music video "Monsters" is absolutely incredible! Her voice, the video, everything is unbelievable!

Great reaction (similar to 99% of people who see this 1st audition)! Of course, there's a back story to this since Courtney has been working hard toward her dream from at least 9 years old. She would busk on English streets to earn her own money for vocal lessons. There are plenty of UA-cam videos of her (check out 11 year old Courtney singing "Can't Help Falling in Love"). She was ridiculed at a tender age by her classmates for singing "like a boy" and "weird" dancing. She is at heart a socially shy, kind and humble person, and early criticism didn't help. It got worse after her AGT appearance as the 1% who didn't like her mercilessly attacked her online, not only for her performance, but for bad character traits that were just hatefully fabricated.
Fortunately, that was her father onstage at AGT, and she does have a very supportive family and millions of protective worldwide fans now. There was plenty of Internet drama when Courtney did not win AGT after getting the most views ever, but she has toughened up and persevered; at 15 Courtney already has been outfitted by Calvin Klein and just been made a spokesperson for Secret deodorant (w?). More importantly, she is signed with Syco/Arista/Sony and about to release her 1st album with originals, hopefully within a few weeks. Courtney will then just blow up!
Being a vocal coach you also should react to her 4 more contemporary covers on the Courtney Hadwin VEVO channel (also on the music platforms). These are her most mature voicings (still mostly done, I'm told, at 14) in an intimate recording studio setting where you can really concentrate on her unique vocal delivery, like nobody else's.
This young lady should be admired and an example to other young people. If you have a dream you can find ways to achieve it. It just makes me angry to see how these keyboard trolls can hate on her. They should be so lucky to have childern kind of drive. Whether she succeeded or fails I would always have respect for her.
You're kind of late to the party. Courtney Hadwin has more fans than She knows what to do with and She hasn't even put out an album yet!!

My only advice to you Natalia is to pace yourself with your reactions to Courtney. There are so many really outstanding performances. To be honest you could not do better than to start at the beginning of her singing career from age about 10 /11 and progress through her performance on The Voice Kids UK to AGT which she was 'invited' to attend. Finally to end with her "Cover Session" on her VEVO channel. To start with I would recommend her version of 'Can't help falling in love" then move on to I don't wanna miss a thing' and then finally 'A change is going to come' . This will give you a grounding in her full talent and an inkling of what is yet to come. What ever you decide I can guarantee you will be both amazed and entertained.

Great reaction to Courtney. You made some points that, as you see more of her, you will realize are spot on.
Courtney went through her appearances on the 2018 AGT season singing exclusively 60's and 70's rock classics from iconic performers such as James Brown, Tina Turner, Steppenwolf and Janis Joplin. You mentioned that you want to see how far she went in the competition, so I won't spill the beans (someone will), but needless to say, she went quite far. The audition song you reacted to went viral and now has many hundreds of millions of views.
As a result of the amazing talent she displayed on AGT, she was signed to a record deal by Syco/Arista records and her first album of original music is due out just after the new year.
Although Courtney is best known for her time on AGT, you can find videos online of her from the time she was nine years old onward. She entered every contest, every open mike available to perfect her craft. As you hear more of her, you will realize that she can cross seamlessly between rock, R&B, funk, soul and ballad musical genres.
Courtney, who is now 15, has just recently released four new covers on her Vevo channel (link below) and they currently have seven million views with a 98% like to dislike ratio. Courtney choose these specific songs, that are currently highly popular, to highlight different specific aspects of her voice and to show she can sing current music while staying true to her musical style. She has emphatically stated that she doesn't want to be the next pop princess.
The most incredible thing about the covers, which were originally pop, country, hip hop, etc. is that she has taken each song and made them her own to such an extent that they sound completely original. As matter of fact, many find Courtney's covers far superior to the original versions.

It takes a special kind of person to do what she did. in 1985, I heard Live Aid over the radio just as Queen hit the stage. Freddy Mercury, love him or hate him, could ROCK an audience like few other people could. Janis Joplin was before my time, but I was hearing her music all the time as I grew up. Then, Michael Jackson, Mick Jagger, so many others who tried to emulate Mercury or Joplin and failed more than succeeded.
This kid OWNED the stage, the crowd AND the judges from the moment she opened her mouth to sing. Mercury and Joplin are smiling, wherever they are!

Just found this. Great information for anyone wanting to be an artist!! U should watch her newer covers. Someone You Loved by Lewis Capaldi is one of the best and you can really see the emotion she puts into it, but all are unbelievable. It’s 4 professional covers on Courtney Hadwin VEVO.

I miss singing. Years ago, I used to sing and played jazz sax, but a car wreck damaged my ability to continue those loves in life. I think that's why I appreciate dedicated singers so much, like yourself. I've played the bass for 30 years now, so it's not a sad story, by any means, don't take it wrong. You REALLY should react to her cover of Old Town Road. Recorded when she was 14 and she does the same with this, that Joe Cocker did with Beatles. She makes it completely her own. I don't even like the original (like I REALLY fekking hate it 😂) but Courtneys cover is on my playlist ❤ She will blow you away, is what I'm saying 😂🥰

please comment on some common criticisms of Courtney: 1. she has a strong accent 2. she 'screams' not sings 3. her 'dancing ' is clumsy and jerky 4. she performs like a boy - Personally I love her performances irrespective of these ' flaws ' . - Courtney is growing up fast, the next time she performs I suspect she will be even greater. - Courtney was on Voice kids 2017 the year before this performance and did several very good performances yet only had one judge turn for her. see her audition singing nutbrush city limits, a tina turner song, I feel Good by James Brown and ' I'm Telling You ' from Dream Girls when she was 12, yes 12 years old. Amazingly Courtney is a perfectionist, has taken all the criticisms to heart and improved even more than what seems possible in this world.

There are so many performances that you'll love. And then you can check her Vevo. You'll not regret.
Some of Courtney's videos, especially Call Me Back, have created crying spells among some of the reactors. She amazes people and brings out feelings they did not expect. She is a once in a lifetime talent!!
She has about 5 more shows, plus, after AGT, she has done four live covers of contemporary hits that are fantastic and published as an album. Recently, she put out three videos of her own music.
You can isolate her voice, and she's in perfect tune. This girl was born to do this 💕🙏
She is not as good as people are saying. Don't even try to compare her to Janis Joplin. She is in tune but stiff in performance, barks and growls like an 8 yr old little girl. She lacks maturity in all aspects of her performance . Truth be told she does not live up to all the hype and her recording sales will prove this.
