Never comment, just had to for Cortney Hadwin,. I'm 59 years old and I was alive when the Beatles first aired in the U.S.A. And I know what it was like to hear Janis Joplin for the first time and all the music that came out since the "60"'s. Cortney is the closest talent to even come close too the great talent I've witness, especially female, She a site for sore eyes, truly Blessed, go Cortney
I've been listening to it for the last 2 weeks everyday 20+ times. Am I tired of the song? NO. Simply Amazing.

She is experimenting with a lot of songs, keeping in mind her age as she is perfecting her raw talent.
Ppl do not seem to realize that singing lessons has more to do with how you breathe.
I think Hadwin may have been inspired by Angelica Hale

AGT 2018 Winner!!! This young teenager is truly amazing Singer and Performer. She makes everyone drop their jaw and stare at her as she belts out those vocals as they ring our ears. This young teenager is truly a blessing to watch on t.v. I would love to attend a live show.

There is an old saying that goes, "She owned that stage!". Now she owns all of us too! Good luck to Courtney.
You are the only one saying that her talent is exceptional for any individual (male/female, young/old, etc.). But the fact that she is a teenager, barely coming out of childhood, makes is a phenomenon, a prodigy. For me, this described as close as it can be my own understanding of Lady C. I am in awe in front of her. I play music for 30 years; I have been the choir director of 4 Gospel Choirs, and I just can't believe my ears. Just the voice is spectacular, but considering that she is a performer (total package) as well... breathtaking. Like you, I don't have words anymore... To me, she's beyond that.

Her voice will be rubbed out by swirling Smoke, strobe lights and dancers in Spandex
(if the go for a DISPLAY instead of her VOICE).
All Courtney needs is a Stage to dance on, an audience and a microphone to share her
explosive vocals.
Hopefully she will sing similar songs and they don’t force her to do “popular” crap.
She’s a born Entertainer, meant to Tour.....to be SEEN not just Heard.

Yup every time I watch her father wrap her in his arms my tears trickle.....almost every day for a year now. I WILL GET TICKETS TO HER CONCERTS AND FLY ANYWHERE TO GET TO ONE!!!!!
I would say- one of the best performances by far. I have seen so many. Lots of talented singers out their; which include Sam Bailey, Grace VanderWaal.... but, what set's her apart from the others is song choice; performance; unpredictability. Let's just say she has what it takes to be the next AGT winner.
Planetvideo777 I totally agree; and if she is left to choose her music she is incomparably great. Love Grace but she is a standard type of performer whereas Courtney has created a new genre of music. One can see so many musical influences in her performance; none of which solely captures her creativity.
her voice is over the top but her stage presence and her dance moves are over the top also and enhances the entire performance
She had the entire audience on their feet clapping in cadence within 35 SECONDS. Who does that???

I can watch her over and over and every time I watch her I also get goose bumps too. She is so talented and gifted she makes me cry when I watch and listens to her.........all of her performances!!

I'm watching Courtney Hadwin Golden Buzzer performance for the dozenth time and my reaction is the same each time, tears of joy and wonder running down my face as I continue to be stunned by this miracle talent! INCREDIBLE!!!

Thank you very much I'm not too familiar with receiving compliments on UA-cam but thank you I was just I guess noticed this young lady and I think she's awesome man I don't know what else to say about her except if somebody does not sign this young lady or make her a superstar like Janis Joplin and some other superstars

Hi Julia. I love the way you let the video play before commenting. I also got goosebumps listening to her sing. I know there are a lot of good singers and they all do their own thing.. Everyone will admit this girl has a talent that is so strong. I cannot even wait to see what happens in her future.. I have a feeling we will be hearing a lot more from her.... Watching Courtney performing on stage is like watching an actual miracle happen!
I thought Bo Bice (American Idol) was incredible. Then came Jackie Evancho (AGT) then Angelina Jordan (NGT)!!! I just added Courtney Hadwin to my favorite all time list from talent shows.
NO one has a more explosive voice or show than our Courtney!

I wouldn't go so far as to say it was THE best audition ever...don't get me wrong...it was one of the best auditions ever. To me, it was the most unexpected audition I have ever seen. Not in a million years would after seeing the first minute of her chatting with the judges would I have expected such an amazing transformation when the music started. She just turned into a whole new type of person...and then when the music was over, she went right back to being her original, meek little self. This is a rare phenomena that exists in some of the most famous music legends of all time.
Tawnku and this is why she is a true artist; she allows the music to recreate her SELF in her environment; and we all are drawn into it and cannot turn away. And this is why I would say hers is the best audition I have ever seen on AGT or any other talent variety show for that matter.
I watch this video many times and can't get eough the girls got talent. And i hope she goes all the way. You go girl.
I was happy to note that most comments described Courtney as giving a "performance" rather than an audition, for a performance was exactly what she gave

MAN YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL!!!!!....Anyway she is like, from another era. If you've ever watched Woodstock from the 60's you would see that she'd fit right in there with Janis Joplin, Sly and the Family Stone, etc. I like your reaction. She also created a new dance called the Courtney Strut.

I have been reading, and watching many videos now. Even subscribed to a source close to Hadwin who shows unique personal videos and her very first live performance in a shopping mall as a 10 year old.
Have formed a theory that she is simply performing 100%, giving it her all, no limits.
She is not in the competition. She is simply performing.
And when its done, she reverts back to her incredulous reclusive self.
Its quite endearing.
Michael Jackson and Prince were also shy in the spotlight, and on stage they explode into life.
Hadwin was runner up in The Voice Kids.
At 65% popularity score on her AGT gone viral she is more popular than Trump ;)

Based on the number of times I've watched Courtney's audition it has to be my favorite! I also believe her voice is superior to Joplin's and many other performers of the 60's, which is the decade I was a teenager! I've cross-referenced her audition with other songs she's done recently and she has amazing adaptability in a variety of genres. Courtney is simply one of a kind!
So, Julia. Very nice "reaction" vid. You let the whole audition run, 'cause you were really drawn into her performance. Many of the "reactioneers" get the shock part, then start yapping, and over acting, instead of going with the performance.
Regarding "best audition ever". Yah, it may be. It checked all the boxes. Cute, surprise, song choice, voice, "channeling" the 60s and 70s?, quirky, dance, stage ownership, Howie's comments, buzzer, dad comforting her, then back story.... Quite a complete episode.

For years I wondered "what's the big deal about how Mick Jagger moves?" now I get it.
In fact, you got it better than most people. She does not "dance", in the sense that it is choreographed; the expression she uses is : "The music makes me move. I can't stay still." It is basic simple pleasure in listening and singing songs. The music takes their bodies and they become the song. You mentioned MJ, but you could add Tina Turner, James Brown and many other great singers/performers. But I warn you, though: it becomes addictive ! This kind of performer is a completely new field in music that you might have discovered with Courtney ! Some of the others that you liked, until now, might seem a bit... boring from now on. Join the club !
Fred Astaire, James Brown, Mick Jagger, Tina Turner, Michael Jackson, and Courtney Hadwin...I think she has earned her place on this list....History repeats its self...

I was at Woodstock , Atlantic City rock festival & I was at Monterey rock and saw Janis Joplin., second time was at Atlantic City Rock Festival. Querky. Odd voice all over the place but such passion, energy and stage presence & lit that place up. Just like Courtney does. The buzz about Courtney is unreal. Good bad everyone talking about her. Once every 50-60 years you see what you do. Like a comet Courtney is. An event. You absolutely will not forget nor stop talking about here. No one in the history of AGT, and they have incredible acts, has lit up the internet like her. No one has more views. She is not of this era as Howie Mandel said during her audition. Courtney will become like the greats before her. R&R revival and she will be leading it.

Hi Julia, always love your reactions. Courtney gave a really great Audition. Her family and friends say that she's really shy. Except when she performs. Now AGT isn't the first show like this she has been in. Last year she was 2nd in The Voice Kids UK. The videos of her audition and performances to the final are on UA-cam. In 2016 she was a Grand Finalist in Open Mic UK singing Nothing Compares To You by Sinead O'Connor. Her folks couldn't afford to buy her singing lessons. So she used to do busking to pay for her singing lessons. At least, that's what I heard.

That's correct. Dawn McManus who worked with Courtney through the musical charity Red Dreams in her hometown said "When she was on the show she was really meek and mild and she is really like that, she is very shy and finds it hard being in crowds.”

The juxtaposition of Her transformation from a sweet, shy young girl to a raw talented & confident young lady belting out this song to perfection is what makes her so endearing.
I cried like a baby when I saw this. Recorded it and must have watched it continually for 3 days , crying every time........
Beyond singing, she is so meager or a child durring interview than becomes Michael Jackson.. that little head nod body movement, swagger whatever you wanna call it she owned the moment you teach that!

NO ONE expected this shy kid to pull this out.
I knew the moment she set her feet wide that she was better than she seemed, as red faced and nearly crying as she was when she came on stage. (Apparently, she got literally sick form nerves beforehand)
So, she came on stage, seemed shy and then OWNED the stage, the audience and all four judges.
All I can say is 'WOW!'
