    As a side note, that attached cord is elasticized and is designed to stretch and pop out to the right. Disconnecting it makes mounting the glove box a LOT easier. Then reattach the cord and you're done!

    Very clear and straightforward video. You saved me at least $50. Before watching your video, I kept trying to bend the sides inwards so the glovebox swings down, but it wouldn't. Now I know how to remove it. Thank you very much!

    Thanks dude!! I appreciate people like you that take the time to show us DIYers these simple maintenance tasks. I hear you said 13 months, I always replace my cabin filters every oil change, excessive? Maybe, but it’s a routine I was taught. When you change your oil might aswell do the air filters. The engine air filter doesn’t usually get too bad, sometimes just gotta take a vacuum and suck the leaves and stuff out but the cabin filter is what you breathe. Might aswell change it every 5k

    • @TonyTheTruckGuy
      @TonyTheTruckGuy  Рік тому +1

      Yeah it really depends on your idle time and conditions where you live. The thing could get plugged up in a month if you’re in a really dusty area lol, the OEMS usually just recommend annual replacement

    Regarding aftermarket filters, in my case a carquest premium. It was ever so slightly wider than OEM. By first fitting the filter into the cover both clips worked. Otherwise the filter would not slide easily into the cover, keeping the clips from snapping into place.

    these type of filters, can't we use vacuum or compressed air to clean and remove debris?

    • @TonyTheTruckGuy
      @TonyTheTruckGuy  8 місяців тому +1

      You COULD, but compression will likely damage them and I don't think a vacuum will do a super good job. You can get cheaper new ones for like $5-$10 so I usually just change the thing. You could maybe reuse them once but I wouldn't recommend it just because the used filter won't do as good of a job.

    This is still a pain in the butt. Instead of making the glove box slightly more malleable so you could push the sides and then clear the stoppers they make you pull the whole stupid thing off for a waste of my time doing it. Good video and a lousy job by Stellantis

      @@TonyTheTruckGuy , I watched three videos of how to do this and everybody said the same thing, "grab it right here and just yank on it".

      @@SwampFeet678 Yeah just gotta hope you don’t break anything. Also I believe there’s a small elastic string on the side of the glove box when you open it and you can unhook it which makes the job easier. I forgot to show that.
