High school shop class 101! pull the saw back, again back, again back until a straight groove is cut THEN push-pull! anyway, glad to see your balcony is the same size as mine!
@@ducatinyc Yeah now i only took a 1/4 off the cans on mine. Not a full slash ground pounder like you guys did. Just a bit more growl and a lot more fire. Lol
Good day! Have you noticed that warm air is coming from the right exhaust pipe and cold air is coming from the left exhaust pipe? I have a ducati monster 1000 of 2003 and I noticed this phenomenon. I wonder maybe this is a consequence of some kind of problem?
@@geremiagermogli Hi! Yes, both are working. But it really interesting this hot & cool air with the exhaust system construction of this motorcycle. Two pipes entering in one !? see on images.app.goo.gl/3R9i2G8XdcGmqupH7
I just like the look the real sound difference is in the cats up front you would have to take the whole thing off for it to roar. But i could care less about it being louder i just hate obnoxiously big stock exhausts. Takes away from the look of the bike.
By the way, when I (actually not I, but the Ducati store, installed the Termi racing ) often the sound alarms of cars, started screaming. Not nice, considering that I did not notice any improvement in performance.
Ha! Yea, I removed the DB killers from my Mivvs as well and often set off car alarms and such - no performance gains but it sure sounds SO much better. Huge fan.
Ducati NYC Vlog yeah, I'd probably buy an extra set of OEM cans off eBay to hack up. They're cheap and it'll allow me to get out of a situation without going too far! Lol
Sounds evil. When I took the high mount TOR pipe off my Speed Triple it sounded hellishly loud, but also lost a LOT of power. How do the Monsters do with the boom tubes? Much power loss? This REALLY makes me want to get a welding kit as soon as I get my house this year. Maybe do some custom fabrication work for friends on the side. I really miss screwing around with my old Speed Triple. I'd love to chop the hell out of an old Monster. Gutting stock exhausts is cake with a welder. Really want to get a 3D printer to prototype custom pegs, levers, rearsets... then outsource the machining locally.
YES YES YES on all of those things about welding kit, 3d printing, and just customizing shit on the real level. That is the dream and I will make that happen soon. I would imagine since there is no back pressure there is a TON of powerloss. IT really doesnt make much sense unless the bike is modded and tuned beyond just chopping the pipes. Sounds like a Harley though, if thats your thing :P
Ducati NYC Vlog I'd have a lot more fun doing vlogs about projects and keep my riding MY time. Tacking on all the cameras takes something away from the freedom of just going out and riding without distractions for a day. I wonder if anyone's done a dyno-tuned comparison of with and without the slip-ons to see if there is an appreciable loss. If it's only worth ~5hp, I say go for the sound. Personally, I prefer a nice deep bassy exhaust with no tin rattle noises whatsoever. Just pure bass you feel in your chest. Miss my old 05 STI for that reason. It had such a nice mellow rumble. Really wish they'd made the BRZ with the old 2.5 turbo. I hope Toyota lets Subaru go buck wild on the BRZ once the Supra comes out. I'm nowhere near the price range they'll probably want for that thing. Looks like a Ferrari Enzo.
I hear what you're saying about enjoying the ride with no cam. I guess thats why my "vloggy vlogs" tend to focus more on the riding and whats happening - as opposed to a solid informational topic - that way there is less pressure. I most definitely ride more often without cameras than with. Besides, you can always just put on the cams and do pure "Rides with no talking" as I call it - just let the viewer focus on the ride. And that Supra looks mean - on some Enzo stuff indeed.
Yea, this was just to trim the useless stock pipes to make them look like boomtubes - i dont think one can do anything to the stock exhausts to improve their looks/feel. DM's were put back on the next day. This was just for fun.
I’ve tried the straight pipe thing and it’s legit unbearable. It was hurting my ears through my full face. It’s genuinely dangerous and I love loud bikes.
No idea. The exhaust or the idea or the bike they went on (for exactly 1 day before real exhausts went on) were not mine. Plus the stock exhausts are pretty worthless.
So what did you accomplish besides make a bike so loud it pisses everyone off, gets the attention of cops, and results in the government eventually legislating that you can't legally modify an exhaust at all? This is how stupid attention seekers are.
This was just a joke. He was getting rid of the exhaust and didn't want to sell it so we did this and my buddy rode around like this for an hour before putting on his new exhaust ;) this was obnoxious at best and most definitely stupid.
That would be a completely different story. But I see this kind of thing often enough from people who are NOT just doing it temporarily and for a joke. That's why I commented.
It's a disease that affects most Duk owners. I put = light weight Termi = Now that I'm older and wiser I put back the originals. Even the originals give a good sound
High school shop class 101! pull the saw back, again back, again back until a straight groove is cut THEN push-pull! anyway, glad to see your balcony is the same size as mine!
After 3 beers shop class skills go out of the window and its all about making things happen the best way you could. Balcony Bros!
sounded awesome. like a sportster.
fun vid🖒
Yea, it was TOO much. Brutal noise. Not realistic to actually run.
That sound is brutal..👏👏👌👌
Thank you. It sure is epic!!!
Now your bike just sounds like its confused about its identity. Not like my beastly TL1000R... now it even sounds like it wants to kill you. Love it!
Haha :) This was my buddies bike and he is a savage. Took this off a few days later and put on his proper exhaust.

Pro tip no 1: You need to tune AFTER exhaust mods. Pro tip no 2: Your hacksawed pipe is worse than any factory pipe for performance
Hehe
Pro Tip 3: throw this silly project exhaust in the garbage the very next day as planned and run proper Mivv GP slipons/tune
oh wow, now I want the same exhaust
Haha, it was too much ouch on the ears.
Nicely done, the shorty pipes look very nice on her. I always felt like those stock cans are way too big for the bike.
Stock cans are ugly, heavy and sound like nothing. They are a crime. Chopping stocks in half is the only way to ride this bike stock.
Good day!

Hmmm, I have no noticed that, I should check it out next time.

Looking forward to your reply
Sorry to ask, but you sure both cylinders are working? It sounds one is working (hot air) and the other one just pumping (cool air)

I absolutely agree. Big silver stock pipes that purr like a kitten kill the Monster.
In LA loudness is safety
He had the same danmoto pipes as I do, and that wasn't enough ahah, sounds nice!
Yea, rode around with the chopped boomtubes for a few days and switched back to dan moto. Straight pipe is too damn loud!

That roar when you close the throttle omg omg
Yea, the decel roar is insane. Possibly my favorite part.
It's a Harley now!
haha, pretty much. It was terrible. we only used it for a day.
At 4:17 you got some kind of guard outside of your rear shock. What is that? Kind find it when I google.
That is a guard for the emission canister that came on my bike. I have removed it.
@@ducatinyc I see. My EU model doesn't even have the canister, so no wonder I'm "missing" the guard. Thank you!
@@jesberbernhardsson Makes sense. Yea, this thing was put on US bikes because of California. Everyone always removes them all the time.
can i use grinder to cut or does it gonna give some sort of trouble
I don't think it will give you any trouble at all, just go nice and slow and careful.
Got to 7:00 and couldn't help but hit the like button. Wow, I need to do this to mine.
THANK YOU for the like! Be sure you want to commit to a MEGA loud exhaust if you do this - or have a backup plan in case this makes your ears bleed :)

You're good, should keep the high rpms, flying fire from pipes, fucked to see! Traffic police do not allow this in Cro.
This setup was painfully loud. Too much.
Nice idea, but sounds bad and not in a good way. The DM's sounded much better. Why not try cutting oem cans in half and reducing the wadding?
