These look pretty good, Don! Normally, I use 040 sheet styrene for something like this; using a scribe to make the individual planks, and then "combing " the piece with an old razor saw blade to create a woodgrain effect. But your method is a lot less expensive, and yields results that are at least as good. And please stop implying that you are a 'bad painter.' Your finished models, buildings and bases look good enough to me; from your base coating to your weathering . . . .
Some of these will make into some of my dioramas. I like the measurements as this does save a lot of miscalculations. Keep them coming Don.
Looks really sick
Thank you for your comments. Sick is a good thing, yes?
@@nanplabwern yep its like a nother way of saying awsome
I will be making some of these. Cheers Don.
Don, you must have been an Engineer or Mathematician in your “younger” days😁 great job as always!! Definitely NOT a painter however🤣🤣🤣

I like the look of keeping some of the cut paper in the plank grooves, to me looks like the wood in splintering
Amazing what you’ve done with cardboard
Why put white filler when ypu could spray the while thing with primer? Or it would eat the primer too?
