I like the battery powered opener. That appears to be a pretty high end residential set up with the steel and the construction of it. I wonder how much more would it be to go with the cantilever gate insted of the V track . That would alleviate problems of snow and ice, rocks and debris. You could just lay down gravel and not need such nice concrete work as well.
That is a typical backyard in the neighborhoods we work in. We use a cantilever design when we build chain link rooling gates. Ice and snow are not often a problem here in N Texas!
@@affordablebackyardconstruc2215 Yes I understand. But trust me. That is pretty high end compared to a lot of places in the country and not everywhere has hair weather all year around..

There’s probably a lot of factors that go into this project that can affect price. The poster seems to be pretty forthcoming responding to other’s comments. I’d assume this type of project is obviously pretty expensive considering how much nicer it is than a manual push sliding gate. Nicer things always cost way more.
Awesome job! I wish there's someone like you do the same job where i live.
Thank you ma'am that makes us feel pretty darn good
Yes you do Amarillo area can get heavy winter snow and ice. That was my concern if the gate rolls ok thru ice and snow
If snow got too deep you would have to clear a path. Ice would depend on the thickness. Don

Thanks for the compliment
how is the V track installed on a slight slope driveway
Bolted to driveway and on piers in the yard
Does that track need to be 100%level? I understand it has to be flat, but would it work with a 3%or so slope?
Phil, it would do fine at 3% uphill.

Hey King! go to Liftmaster.com for more ideas.
Let me know if you have specific questions. Thank you
Price tag? Labor + materials, finish product cost? I saw 7-8k depending on the size, thanks
So the track that goes into the yard is not 100% supported by concrete? It on piers ?
The V Track rests on steel feet which are incased/encased in the piers
