Star Wars Animation with Unreal Engine 5

- A short animation I’ve been working on for about a month using Unreal Engine 5 and thanks to tutorials by @badxstudio .
I created this animation as a way to learn software, drawing inspiration from the tutorial video series by Bad Decisions Studio. For the characters, I used resources from Sketchfab and Mixamo, and for the voiceovers, I utilized 101soundboards.
The story takes place in an alternate timeline within the Star Wars universe: Darth Vader seeks to strengthen the dark side by capturing little Grogu. To do this, he sends Darth Maul to Tatooine, where Grogu was last seen. Meanwhile, Grogu, along with the Mandalorian, is searching for the Jedi Order. However, as they near their goal, something unexpected happens.
There might be some mistakes I’ve overlooked, but I’m excited to share my animation with you all. Enjoy watching!
This animation would make a good fan made Star Wars movie. That I would love to see.

Very practical, instead of scrapping the battledroids why not add them to your army, Lord Palpatine in this timeline appears to be much wiser, he also seems to abandon the rule of two concept

In this timeline, I wanted to explore a scenario where Palpatine takes a more pragmatic approach, utilizing all available resources, including battledroids. Thank you so much for watching and for your comment! It made me extremely happy. Sadly, the sequels today often fall short compared to their predecessors. Even earlier today, I had the same feeling while watching Joker 2, which seemed more like a musical than a continuation of the original story.

Yes Mando is mauled 😀, but he's facing off against an old formidable villain, but I hope you noticed that someone is coming to rescue him 😉 You know how it usually goes in movies-first there's destruction, then comes the revenge! 😄 As for the giant organism in the sky, I was actually trying to add a planet, and that moon next to it is supposed to be lighting up part of it. Just my attempt at creating something interesting😇
I mean that there is a moment in the given timeframe that it seams that you can see through the only Stormtrooper you see.
I am sorry for misunderstanding. If you mean there are some holes on the body of the stormtrooper, the answer is no. I apply low roughness and a little metallic effect on texture of its armor. So, the black areas reflects the lights but there are no empty areas. The model is from Sketchfab. Also a free camera records the events, the stormtrooper we mention about is just one of the other soldiers. We see everything from third person. By the way, thank you for watchig my video 🙂

@@michaelkantner6420 no I didn't use any translation software. I would use ChatGPT to check the texts but I didn't do it. Because I made this video while I learning it. I focus on the animation not the language.

But that's why I dont make animations in Unreal Engine
Because there is only 1 or 2 Star Wars maps for cinematic
And animations are limited
Thank you! I totally feel the limitations of Star Wars-themed content in Unreal Engine, but I still wanted to create an alternative story within this universe. Hopefully, more content will be added to make projects like this easier🙂

Yani, mevcut seriden tamamen farklı, tamamen kafamdan uydurduğum bir hikaye. 🙂 Ancak amacım aslında iyi bir senaryo yapmak değildi; zaten diyaloglarım da oldukça zayıf. 🙂 Bu video, Unreal Engine oyun motorunu öğrenme sürecinde, eğitim videolarını izlerken 'böyle bir video da yapsam' diye düşünerek ortaya koyduğum bir çalışma. The dialog is a bit off, not making much sense and too much power lines, but the animation is pretty neat
@@darkemperorsnake3070 You’re right about the power being emphasized a lot, and that’s intentional for two reasons. First, the connection between Darth Vader and Grogu is heavily centered on their power in the original films-it’s a key part of their story. Second, the AI voice I used happened to pronounce the word ‘power’ really well! 😄 Aside from that, this was a project focused on my learning Unreal Engine, so I didn’t pay as much attention to the dialogue, which I now regret. I wish I had refined it more and used better grammar. Thanks a lot for watching and for your feedback😇
It's not you or your efforts bro it's the AI. I'm not a fan. It just has a mechanical feel to it. It lacks that human quality that makes things believable. Like if star wars were real I'd be one of those people who's prejudice against droids. No matter how good the tech is it just lacks the human component that gives a believable flavor to art. That said I would still rather watch your project over the last three star wars movies. They are a disgrace and fan films like yours are ten times better. May the force be with you my friend

As a mechanical engineer, I have to admit I love mechanics. While AI does have its dangers, it’s also a technology that makes many things easier. Each has its own unique appeal, but of course, nothing can surpass the beauty of pure human artistry. @chewbacca6334 Actually, there isn’t a see-through Stormtrooper in the seconds you mentioned. Every Stormtrooper in the frame is clearly visible 🙂
