I don't even think Darth Vader (after getting the suit) was a good saber duelist. Sure, he beat Luke in ESB, but Luke was an inexperienced kid. He beat 60-70 year old Obi Wan in ANH, but Obi whooped him in the Obi Wan series, and obviously beat him before on Mustafar. In Rogue One, no one else had a saber. Luke kicked Vader's ass in ROTJ - some deleted parts early on in the fight show Luke getting several solid hits in.
If you’re only going by on screen performance then that’s a logical conclusion, but in novelizations, books, and comics, it’s said and demonstrated that he’s one of the all time greatest. Probably amongst the likes of bane, Malgus, maul, etc

Also another point, them saying Darth Maul was "resurrected" is not accurate(at least if your basing his story off accurate verified Star Wars canon). Maul didnt die when he was cut in half, using his force powers to stop bleeding out, he then eventually set out: fusing together cyberneticly with mechanical prosthetic legs, then rehabilitating himself through training to become the agile swordsman he once was. Just a prime example of Sith propaganda, spreading lies and enciting fear and suspense through anyone who will hear it and latch on to the darkness, confusion, and fear that clearly feeds the Dark side of the force.

Trying to make sense of it isn't worth the headache. lol

@@GeneFOX70Let's say that is true it should be noted that this Maul had a environmental advantage over Vader with Vaders fears of lava, magma, and volcanoes as well as the dark prophets favoring Maul giving him a motivational boost plus the fight was more on there physical abilities, unarmed combat, and lightsaber skills plus Vader was still not fully used to his suit yet on equal ground and with just force powers then Vader would of won plus Maul had lots of prep time that Vader did not for this fight plus lots of use of don moch yeah.

This is an old story that was released years before Maul even returned in the clone wars show. This was basically never a canon story even for legends.
