@@NextLevelCarAudio I got a couple question? Are Skar Subwoofers any good. Does Skar zvx stand up to Sundown zv5 both in 15s or to Orion HCCA 15. Can I get ur honest opinion on all 3 of these subs? I'm starting a system build and went down to the local audio store to see about 2 Orion HCCA 15s and the guy at the audio place said Orion's aren't what they use to be and when I asked about Skar subs he completely ignored the question and stirred me towards the 15 sundown zv5 with 2 sundown 5000.1 amps ik Skar is a budget sub but if it compares to Sundown and Orion for a cheaper price then instead of 2 Sundown zv5 at $800 each ($1600 for both) I could get 4 Skar zvx 15s on 2 sundown 5000.1 amp ( only cuz he said if I bought 2 amp at once he would give me a great deal on both amps together) but if Skar doesn't hold up to Sundown zv5 or Orion HCCA which of those two would u recommend? I'm putting this in a 07 Yukon Denali I want hard power not this beginners stuff I looking for 2000 RMS at the least but can handle way more if I choose to go harder I'm a go hard or go home type of guy lol? Just looking for a honest opinion. I'm not rich but if paying a lil more is better in the long run I'm willing to go that route.
Skar is great! For budget builds. In just did a full Skar build in my mustang. Video to come in a couple days! But nothing compares to my Sundown competition Build. If you want no regrets, go Sundown. If you want to bang but maybe with you had a little more. Go Skar

@@NextLevelCarAudio bro I need help so I have a 04 toyota camry I have a ds18 12 that's 4000 watt in a custom box and I put it on a taramp 3 k and it would clip so checked the voltage with a volt meter when the bass hit it dropped to 10 volts so I said ok like I figured I need a second battery so I put a second battery in it and now the voltage don't drop but it still clips and isn't loud at all so I hook my JBL back up witch is only 1200 max watts amp and it don't clip with that and hits hard so it's not under powered with the JBL even though it's a 4000 watt speakers with the taramp it clips so does that mean the sub is being over powered and can't handle the amp or does it mean that the amp needs more power to beable to power the sub 🤔 cause if a amp isn't getting the power it wants it sends a clipping signal so I think that's my problem even if it was over powered it shouldn't clip it should just blow the sub right let me know what you think I think I need to get a highout put alt and that will fix it cause this stock alt is only 100 amps I can buy a 300 amp but I don't want too if that isnt the problem idk D's are good subs so 🤷
Having headroom is very important when powering your system. You don’t want to hook a high powered sub to an amp that can’t provide the power to it. Your asking for trouble by doing that.

I think there's something wrong with the amp becuase if I hook it up ya it clips at low volume and clips like crazy when you turn it up but I can turn the gain all the way up and it will clip like crazy but won't be loud I did that for a second to see and it wasn't loud the sub it's harder and doesn't clip on the 800 rms amp I'm using now

I used to be a bass head back in the day, this setup would have been sweet. we did crazy shit like 10 15's in the bed of a mini truck. but the equipment now is so much better. However, I like all around quality sound now days. guess I got old. still got to have a little bump though. lmao nice setup.

My parents almost moved to hickory North Carolina near were they build sundown subs. I would of loved working at the sundown factory.

I love it man! So clean too. Them windows are fucking bad ass on that box. and 4 kerfs, like wow. Im impressed. I got 2x zv5 15s on crescendo 17k in my hummer and it fucking pounds. I hit 151.88 @ 31hz, Zv5s didnt hold up well. So now im working on a box for 4 of em so i can distribute all that power a lil more evenly. Sucks the hums only 45 wide and like 34 deep. I had to relocate my batteries above the wheel well. Im hoping for a 155 with 4 this time. Nice build tho man. Following.

I always wondered since speaker bass in Port Bass does tend to cancel each other I was told . if you put the ports to the outside where the box could take in fresh air wouldn't create some serious cabin pressure ?

How many watts are you putting into each? Ive been abusing mine with about 3000w rms, but start to get a burn smell from coils (I presume). But I hear all these people talking about putting 4-5k thorough ONE. I just dont see how thats possible. unless im doing something wrong
My build is going to consist of 2 D4S lithiums. Mechman 270. JEEP Commander. 2 DC Audio XL Elite 15s. DC Audio 7.5k. Mids D4S65s on a DC 175 4. 4 DC Audio Super Tweeters. Two up front and two in back running off a DC 90 4. For now ill be using a JL TWK88 DSP... its going to sound sweeeeet!!

Almost no one is mentioning that work of art. I can give you a couple pointers and maybe a couple more in a few weeks as I build my own Kicker quad box. 1) do not use single part stain. It limits the amount of gloss you can achieve. Use a two part stain. 2) Use the internet to research how to kerf the radius you are looking to achieve. Do not wing it because you will most likely remove too much material or not enough. 3) measure twice cut once.

FREAKOF NATURE thanks... honestly the amps stay pretty cool. There is plenty of space between the top of the amp and seats and i put risers underneath so they are elevated so that air can travel underneath as well. Check out my updated video with my new amps I have! ;)

So great men. I have a question? I would like to buy the sounds like that but I have no idea how much I would pay for all that and where they install all the sound equipment. If you read my comment I appreciate your time brother.

For a setup like this it would be thousands. Thought you can get smaller setups for cheaper, and bigger setups for more. Installing your self will save you hundreds if not thousands of dollars. What are you looking to build?

Probably would be similar…. Maybe a little more output. Getting higher power subs, bigger amps, and more port area will do wonders

Brad Price subs were $1,600, box was about $1,500 both amps are now upgraded to SAE-3000’s which were $1,700 for both. Running 2 xs power xp3000’s and a Mechman 370 elite with tons of certified bass head 0 awg ofc. About $7,500. That does not include any of my front stage which I am currently working on. When all is said and done gonna be about a 10k build
Hey Bro. Which terminals your using on your box. I'm hearing that even thr SMD terminals get heated up or isn't going to be enough for the amout of power I'm going to be running. My installer said he recommend I bolts going through the box. My Sub setup are 4 Sundown X15's V2's, Power is a SounDigital 1ohm EVO-X 12k. Electrical is one point, all the bells & whistles, 2/0 & 1/0 runs from a 400 Mechman & 240 Mechman, 80ah lithiums Etc Etc. Biggest system I'm ever going to have & last system to. But I'm stuck on these speaker terminals. Help me out Bro with that question.
I’d use bolts if I were you. Or direct connect pushing wire through. My box came with smd tho

Went for the z after all is said and done because of the bigger motor/increased power handling capabilities. Now I am thinking hmmmmm, should I have gone with the niteshades? Lol. But overall I could not be happier! These are amazing subs!
NextLevelHummer haha yeah I get you bro, that’s the issue with bass heads we just want more lol but the nightshades are monsters for sure, you get everything with those but I think I will move up with the ZV5, seeing how yours sounds is amazing and I think I’m fully convinced now, thanks for your input and your reply man!
Clint Hernandez no problem. A cell phone camera/mic really does not do justice as it records more of the high pitch vibrations that it does the lows. But in person.... the lows you feel in your chest! You won’t be disappointed with the Z’s!!!
NextLevelHummer just you wait till you give your subs full power, their really going to come alive. Those hifonics ams are good but are very power hungry, I used to run them in my last system. I’d suggest that when you upgrade, to go with sundown or deaf bonce apocalypse amps, highly efficient, good luck with everything!
@@NextLevelCarAudio how much was your box build. I have 2 zv5 15s myself n only had a box built for 1 n my charger tht takes up the whole trunk I believe it was tuned to 29hz but mines only hit low notes I dnt have any real kick to it I was think of trynna a couple prefabs like gately or q bomb

I live here in Vegas and I get together with some bass heads and I've been hearing some serious set ups and I live the way the sundown zv5 sound. They don't hit like the others do. They literally shake the ground with that super deep deep clean bass.
I'm actually trying to sell my enclosure as i am going to do a C-pillar 4th build with 3 ZV5 15's. Going to be my fall/winter project. Also going to lithium and 2nd alt with custom doors. lots of content will be filling this channel as i document my build. excited :)

Nothing against sundown.... I just always loved crescendo for power. In use to dream of owning the amp that I currently have before I could afford it lol.
Some major Deadening needs to be done You will get so much more out of it something like Dinamap just done mine massive difference in performance much deeper heavier bass
Check out my newer videos.... All done with crescendo murder mat. I wanted to let her rip without any deadener to really see where the problem areas were. but ended up doing pretty much the whole rear hatch area.

@@turdferguson810 I can even tell it could be louder. It really isn't beating that hard. This guy is just easily impressed. The zv5 sound like they need more power. Go listen to some other videos with zv5s, they more vicious with the right power. I'm pretty sure it wouldn't do good on a meter. If he is happy that's all that matters.
Yes. I've been to many competitions. I've been doing car audio for a long time. I'm telling you'll never know until he puts it on a meter, but I already know from experience he won't meter high. It needs more power. It probably doesn't matter to you, but I'll tell you some of the subs I have right now. I have 4 sa15 Sundowns, 4 15 hdc3s, 2 12 Skar vxf, 2 13av2 Elemental Designs, 2 12 Infinity Perfect, 2 15 Mtx 9500, 1 Hifonics Atlas square 12 900rms, and I have some older Audioque street duty 15s. I beat guys in competition with bigger setups, but they didn't have it hooked up right or their box was wrong. They were mad as hell and could figure out how I beat them.

@@pureonyx5090 You need stronger subs and more power. You could do 2 of the Soundqubed Hdx3 12 or Hdx3 15 with about 4000-4500 watts. You need a high output alternator, 2 runs of 0 gauge ofc, 8-10 gauge ofc speaker wire, 2 Kinetik hc2400s and another Kinetik under the hood. The 15s will probably give you the loudness you want if you have 9 cubes to work with. There are many options, but I don't know your budget? It can get expensive.

mr check out the other video’s on my channel. Has been done. I purposely wanted to give it a run without any dampening to see where the problem areas are. But i layered a ton of deadening to reduce it a lot.
