Nice clean install and build. Setup sounds nice and clean SQ.
MR. BIGGZ when the bass doesn’t exactly blend as if to be transparent....and the staging isn’t balanced. It’s not SQ. Zv5 could be made to do fine in an SQ build however. SQ and the bass head scene are different worlds.

I currently run all deafbonce apocalypse equipment, so far a single deafbonce 4k wired at .5ohm to a single deafbonce sa312 d1 and it plays like a beast 25hz up to 45hz easily.. my new enclosure I'm going to tune a little higher, maybe 35hz so I can play 28 to 50 better, I got a sundown x12v2 I can throw in for lows when I miss them, on 4k the x12 comes to life and I'd an animal.. I want a zv5 or a deafbonce sa4 or the new avatar sub next
depending on ur car but most cars have a peak gain around 40hz or so. tuning higher may have the opposite effect u want boosting closer to your cars peak. you will get an even louder peak around 45hz or so and while 50hz will be louder as well its more about the balance of all frequencies you want to play compared to eachother. if you want to tune for more sq and are willing to give up a little of your peak spl note then tune lower.
Zv4 15s are like $460 from Directronix freshly reconed. Ima go that route

Box isn't but I was put in no wall 5k class because of the surround being over window line. I took first place in single sub class that day tho
Are ZV5s in another league when it comes to under 30hz compared to most other subs? From what I've seen many subs kill 30-60, but the ZV5s seem to be too dawg in the low lows.
I've never run any Sundown equipment but have watched tons of demos and they seem to dominate in the teens to upper 20s
This box is tuned to 28 and is violent from 20-33hz

the x gets lower but not as loud as zv4 and 5s...

Best in that box was 147.9 at 29hz but that day when I metered the cross braces on my roof actually snapped on the meter just b4 this demo lol
@@m720bos burp or music tho? Love the Zv5 sucks their the cost of a house in my country but my Sundown X15 will do for now, we did a *144DB@26hz* on music a day ago clamping 1kw. Car has a lot more in it.

Hey guys, I currently have 2 sa 12a on 1500 watts and they slam and sound good, but I think imma pick up a zv5 15 tomorrow. Is the one zv5 worth it over my two sa’s? I have a shuriken battery in the trunk but stock alternator and only 4 gauge ran back so I know I’ll have to get a new amp and 0 gauge ran back for it, and prolly another battery. When is a bigger alternator necessary?

No you should just rebuild your sa 12s box are they the v2s? upgrade your amps 2 12s will put out more dbs than one 15
@@shanevanpelt7802 I disagree in this case, can't compare sa's to the zv5's lol. Properly tuned and built boxes, I'd go with a zv5 15 over 2 12 sa's all day long lol. If he had 2 zv5 12's.. that's be a whole different thing, 2 12s all day in that case lol

⭐Am I the only person who thinks that the larger diameter speaker, the lower the audible frequency..? When I switched from10's to 12's to 15's they just kept sounding better...🤷♀️ McLovin a pair of Orion XTR's...💚 Ultimately I'd like to run an 18" with a pair of 10" speakers on an Orion XTR 1000.4 By bridging two channels for the 18" and basically giving each 10" a channel for (left and right)...⭐ Any thoughts or suggestions, should I run 2ohm, 4ohm..? Make the 10's 4ohm (for clearer sound and run the 18 at 2 ohms (for overall loudness)..?⭐ I'm pretty new at this and this is my perspective on how audio systems work... I have no idea if I'm right or wrong, so be gentle with your criticism...😅
Want to put one of these zv5 15s in a trunk will it just be a lows killer or will it sound pretty good throughout bandwidth? I had an x10 and it sounded great at low frequencies but higher notes sometimes seemed to be completely missing.
Well, I have this 15 but in the X series...pretty similar to the Z. And from what I can tell you first hand it's just a lows killer.. which I'm kind of bummed about i went from a W7 (SQ sub that did everything and hit HARD) to this sub that absolutely murders the lows but the higher notes are close to non-existent. Im pushing a SFB 3000 watt amp to it and box is built to exact specs off the website. If you're looking for a lows monster this is the sub for you...if you're looking for a little bit more versatility with the high notes definitely not the sub for you

It's not mounted to the box, if you look close the batteries are mounted behind the box and amps are mounted on a vertically on another platform

Why? I clamped over 3k rising to 2.5 ohms out of this amp at 12.3 volts... I don't know of any 8ks that aren't greatly underrated that will do that
I have a Skar vxf 15..pushing 5000 rms. That ZV5. should handle 8000

It did a 147.9 at 29hz clamping 2900w and took 1st place on single sub gs3 that day. I've invested A LOT of money in minimising flex in this truck, but also all the cross braces on the roof snapped in half while metering right before this video. Hopefully I can get some more videos posted soon.
m720bos that is a badass amp. Well you did better than me I hit a 148 with 2 x 15s a soundstream xxx 10000d. Never clamped my wattage. I had that system 2- 3 years ago. I miss it. Was ridiculous and when I set my crunchbars on the center console it literally broke them plus made me lose some pieces
mines only on ab 1200 and it moves everything. Obviously it needs more power but it still does good for what it is
