Hey bud I like your setup, from experience I had the same thing but with a zv5 12 in my truck, my port was close to the side and it didnt go to its max performance cause the port needs more space to breath so I made a new box and put a 90 degree port facing up and it totally made a big difference. If you can put a 90 at the end then your 15 should get even louder cause it can now breath more. 🙂
Please add dynamat or some kind of deadner to the back of the license plate and it will sound better as you're driving down the street . Overall nice build . Crazy flex
My st is was the same way the plat just flops around used a stick of butyl rubber
Door seal for home the stick on stuff works great behind the plate and only few bucks

Most people including my self keep the front battery as a backup just incase the lithium goes dead and you need to start the car

There should be a small hole somewhere on that bass knob to adjust the voltage with a small screwdriver

You need some sound deadening bad!! It will make a big difference! It will cut down on things rattling loose! You might try lock tight or just simple cheap nail polish on threads will work great!!

why won't you do a dual alternator setup, the stock one to run the car and battery up front, and a high amp for everything in the back
I definitely would have if I would have kept the car. I’ve sold everything and traded in the car now lol.

I have people ask me to do work all of the time man! I need to start doing some stuff for people. I love it! There are guys everywhere that do fantastic work though.

If you can find 8"(what I'm guessing your port diameter is) pvc sewer pipe and some 90 degree bend pipes you can gain some port length.
I looked at places like Lowe’s and Home Depot when I shopped for PVC and never had any luck with anything that large in diameter. That’s why I resulted to the mortar tube.
@@nbrown1341 you'll have to find a job site and ask nicely. When I was on the hunt I went to a plumbing supply store and they basically told me since I'm not a contractor they won't sell me any because of covid.
@@antro_oner True. Might have to do that on the next build for sure. Definitely a better idea. More structural and aesthetically pleasing.
@@nbrown1341 the other option is just purchase a "big ass port", yes by name :) but I'm cheap so I go with pvc. Either way you'll get bored of this box and find another car to wall 4 15's.
I have looked on his website but when I did this build I think he was still on limited stock due to health issues. And absolutely. I have “free to me” Dodge Neon that will probably get the treatment fo sho.
put a hook onn the end of a meta coat hanger and take the push termanal off the box unplug yur sub an fish the wire out thru the termanal hole

Why don't you upgrade to some fiberglass door pods so you can run some mid bass driver that will keep up with what you have in the back. ? 🤔 Only reason I say that is I just had it done to my car honestly the best money iv ever spent hands down 😁😁 great vid btw. 🔥🔥

You went from 8 tens to 1 fifteen... Do you like the single sub setup better?
The 8 10’s were definitely louder obviously, but the single 15 gave me my back seat back and was still loud enough. I thought it was a good compromise.

Maybe if they were lower impedance coils to try and combat the box rise. That amp was awesome.

I definitely planned on doing two runs of 1/0 if I would have kept the setup and the car. It no doubt would have helped with current draw.
I have a 2003 expedition I just got a 370amp alt will i need to regulate it to the car and if so how
It depends on if the alternator uses a factory charging regulator, a different manufacturer regulator on the alternator, or an external regulator. For my GM 14.7 Regulator I had to solder in a resistor on the excite wire. Johnathan Patrick has a video for Brand X alternators on how to do that.
You could try contacting the manufacture of the alternator and ask them. Be sure to be specific on what you're doing with it.

What did you use under the amp to reduce vibration?
I used some rubber feet that are meant to bolt to the bottom of furniture. I bought them at Home Depot.

I would have if I kept the car but at the time I wanted to be able to disconnect the lithium and go back to stock if need be.

That’s usually the case 🤣 I have used lower pre out voltage single dins in the past and always wanted to try the best of the best. So I went all out on this setup!
why is your lisence plate allowed to do that....cmon 2 more screws bud
The two bottom screw holes are rubber spikes that sticks through the bottom holes on the plate from the factory. No excuse just didn’t keep the car long enough to worry about fixing it lol.
