Love it. Just got an 04, installed the Eibach lift, freedom off-road UCAs and Falken Wildpeaks. Heading to Big Bear to break in the new setup for the first time this weekend!
@@ryanblacklock3005 I installed myself and posted a diy video on my channel. But this was pre inflation so it cost about 850 for the eibach kit and 365 for the UCAs which isn’t really relevant pricing anymore unfortunately. Great setup. Still running it with my 35s, regear and lockers with a bunch of accessory weight
I like how it still look quite oem around and still very capable and ready for anything. And not all tricked out or totally transformed that looks like something else.
Nice GX! Once I took my running boards off I had to get sliders pretty quick so my wife and daughter could get in. I like your roof top setup as well. A rack and bat wing is on my short list.
@@seekfactsnotfiction9056 People prefer the 470 over the 460 because of the price and the parts availability BUT the 460 now has PLENTY of parts available. What?! A rooftop tent is whaat makes you an overlander? Yea-a Winnebago makes me pioneer! There in no “thing” that makes you an overlander. But good video and the GX is a great tool for long off-road explorations.
Battery pack runs the fridge for 2 days without recharging. I do bring a solar panel to recharge during the day and it gets me 4-5 days out of my trips.
Love your setup. How do you like the E rated RGs on the road (comfort, noise, etc.)? I’m going 285/75r17 but trying to deceive between C and E since Nitto offers both in that size.
I run the E loads at 42 psi and truthfully I LOOOVEEE the firm feeling on the road. No joke. I also like having the piece of mind of having e load tires on the trail. Side note, they are heavier and if you are hyper concerned about mpgs and acceleration, I'd go C.
@@DrivingLine Thanks for the reply. Oddly enough, the 285/75 RGs are a little over half a pound heavier in C than E. They must have used lighter weight materials in the E to keep weight down.
Are you saying you are running the Eibach 3" lift (really 2.8) with no UCA and 34" tires without a BMC? Wtf?! How is that even possible! How is your alignment? Im about to do some of these light mods to my GX and very curious
Nice truck man. I just picked up a black 2006. I was searching for some basic cross bar racks that will fit, presumably to the factory rack, that I can use for surf boards. Any recommendations? Thanks

Your Nitto GX video is the reason why I bought mine. I love my GX.
Love to hear it! Only great things to say about the GX 😏 Thanks for sharing.

Thank you!!! I'm stoked to hear that.
Exactly the right mod I needed. Thanks for the lovely video walk around. 👍🏻
Your rig is awesome! I have a 08 gx470, I can’t wait to get it modified to my liking and take it over landing.
Heck yes dude! They are so fun to take off roading. I’m excited for you.
Most impressive for me ..... is how clean my paint is still after so many years !!!
Nice truck 🔥💯
Thank you! I ceramic coated it that day.
nice setup........ brings back memory's of my 4x4 days. back then we just had tents and coolers in the 80's
I'm a child of the 80's but also the 80 series land cruiser is my all time favorite rig. So there's some symbolism there lol
Boom. Yes! Beast of an overland vehicle. Makes me want to redo my walk around. Mine is a bit outdated now.
Go do another one! we'd love to see it
Beautiful rig!!!! Nice mods!!! Tip for the tents zipper coat it slightly with bar soap
Good tip!

Nice car I know this video a little old but how much you get your Lexus for
with the GX back door opening to the passenger side, why didn't you put the awning on the driver side and the tent to the passenger side?
Can you please send the link to that air control Charger/button replacement?
the battery pack runs the fridge over night just fine? how long will it run for?

I am saying that and yes its possible to even off-road on this set up. There IS some slight rubbing on full compression but that's no big deal to me.
@@MichaelSabounchi Do you think your wheel offset is helping? Whats the offset?
@@csgofordummies1239 My offset is 0 on the wheels. You can see the truck with this set up in our On The Trail - Sedona video.
Open the back passenger door. See the plastic plate on the floor? That's your step to reach the roof.
That's impossible.. you need more side access with an RTT than you do rear access. no pun intended lol

Basic cross bars, you can run an RV inno set up orrrr just run surf board pads on your stock on bars. Save money, just use what came with the rig.
I love it!! How much did you pay for the tent? And the bat wing?
The tent was $900 or so from TuffStuff overland.. they are a really greatcompany. The batwing you can find all over for around $700-800
