That's going to be a nice garden when its all said and done. Great video thank you for sharing your knowledge of what to use for soil, about getting tests done on soil, and what tools work best.
I'm sorry I couldn't watch this sooner. Life happens 😒 Anyhow, This is my all time favorite time of the year! I cannot wait for all of your gardening videos. Plus then the harvesting and making delicious foods 😁
Worms are a definite plus for the soil. I also live up here. My brother and I are working on his land doing what we can do, to get the soil to spec for planting his blueberries and other plants that should be in shortly.
I was so happy to find them! We had very few worms at our last homestead (our soil was nearly all sand), so this has been a nice change. I hope your blueberries do well this year! ☺️
We do also. Oh and good luck with getting those coyotes in check. Game warden said that we can't shoot them, but I told him if they get our animals, you're not gonna find coyotes anymore. He got mad, but he also knows that we will do what is necessary. Yeah we all grew up together around here. Lol. In Beltrami County, and surrounding.
Good point! That could be part of it as well, but we had our water tested when we had a water filtration system put in last summer and our water came out sky high for iron. One of the highest the company had ever seen 🫣
Beautiful garden space!! No need for lifting weights this week! Quite a workout!

Just FYI Manganese will make your water that orange/brown color, so not just iron.

We are setting up electric poultry netting for our garden for the first time this year. So excited! Does it work not electrified?
Exciting! It works as a physical barrier, but it’s definitely not as effective as it is when it’s on
💚👍
Spring is here!! ☺️
Hello from Forest Lake Minnesota! Katie, does the electric poultry fence keep the deer out?
It sure does!! (When it’s on 😆)
