THANK YOU for being here!!
I came across a game changer this year. Use a kids snow sled to move the plants back n' forth when hardening off. Just think how many trips that will cut from this love/hate job! 💚🌞
That’s brilliant!! Thank you!
Good morning from Forest lake Minnesota! Great episode! Fun stuff!
Glad you enjoyed it!! 🫶🏼🫶🏼
I’m only 8 minutes in, but I wanted to thank you for explaining hardening off. I’ve heard of it for years, but didn’t ever really seek to learn what it meant. 🧡
You're very welcome!
There’s a handheld cultivator tool you stand and twist…might make the job easier. Works well in my clay soil.
Always amazed by your knowledge 😊
Thank you so much 😀 I love sharing with you!!
I like the raised beds. Might have to check them out
Definitely do! They are pretty sweet
Enjoyed the video. Thanks for sharing
You’re so welcome ☺️
When summer time comes the garden you have is going to be epic! Great video!
Thank you! I sure hope so! ☺️
Ope, I had to stop and chat....watching your wood chip idea for you electric fence.....I gotta say, I have heavy dark soil too and oh man wood chips definitely won't last....at least not for me. So ironically I had an ah ha moment this morning....for the perimeter of my garden. I have a huge lawn area to mow and I "harvest" it each year for weed suppression in the garden, this year I am going to PILE it THICK around the edges of my garden to try kill/slow down the quack grass! I just can't keep up anymore weeding it, I gotta live too :) But I don't have the electric fence netting around my garden.
Let me know if it works!!!
Hey Katie.. awesome video.. can you tell me where you got your comfrey seeds from, what variety and how did you start it.. does it need cold stratification etc.
Love your videos! I find them as a nice way to relax during my lunch breaks, working as a nurse in a overstimulating clinical setting. And usually learn a new trick or 2 from ya! Wondering if you could talk more about creating a compost pile or using a compost bin? Your compost looks so beautiful 😆
From southern Minnesota with love.
I’m so glad to hear that!!! I worked in a level 1 trauma unit for 9 years, so I know how it can be! 🫶🏼 That’s a great content idea! I’m starting all over with my compost pile since we just moved, so this is compost that I picked up from a local organic farm, so I can’t take credit!
👍🤠
Thanks so much for watching! 🫶🏼
Did you keep your strawberry seeds in the fridge before planting? I’m wondering if I’m too late for those this year. I’m in zone 3
I’ve actually never started strawberries from seed! I’ve always gotten plants from a local nursery and let them go wild from there
What's the pole on the cabin close to the end
