I'm working on a prototype x-class torque arm that may be plug and play. Still waiting on my battery from ESB to arrive so I can begin testing.
Nice, would definitely love to see what you come up with!
@@JB360_NYC do you post on instagram? I’d like to send you some pics.
@@engr_e it's in the works lol. As of now I run the IG group @richmond_riders_nyc
You can send DMs there
Maan this was a good breakdown, I'll call Sal but question, Is this something an amateur that never worked with electronics much, Can realistically do without messing up their bike and giving up? I suck at electronics and dont want to start something I cant finish. Thanks for this video one of the better explanations
The great thing about upgrading with this kit is you don't need to splice or soder any wires which is great. Pretty much plug and play.
Love seeing your videos can't wait for my battery's to get here almost 2 months now I'm still waiting for it got my motor about a month ago 72v 5k motor 100A controller now I really want the 150A controller lol after seeing your video do you think sal will just sale the controller only?
Thanks dude! I'm sure if you ask Sal you can probably ask him if you can trade in the 100A for the 150A and just pay the difference.
What's psi you had on those motorcycle tires?
@@GearEdieR I have them set to 33 psi
@@JB360_NYC ok thank you 😊 I had mine at 30 but I'll Wil try out 33
You using the X2 or X3 to shoot these?
I just got the X3 & want to use it for the same thing, vlogging on my e-Bike's, so was wondering what settings/equipment you'd recommend using with it?
I "thought" the snow kit would've been enough, but ended up spending WAY MORE than I wanted to on accessories, but it'll be worth it in the end, because the quality will be that much better
Yup using the X2 still which I have mounted with the moto kit on the handlebars. Works great footage although sometimes hitting bumps can cause the mount to get loose or even fall 😢
Sup JB, would you happen to know where I can get a replacement controller for an Ariel Rider X Class? I received the dreaded Communication Error 30. Reached out to Ariel Rider but the rep said they can’t ship anything out at the moment due to the company transitioning warehouses.
Hmm I would probably check the Facebook groups to see if anyone is getting rid of their stock controllers. A lot more people are converting to 72V so they don't need their stock ones anymore.
How do you feel about the 2000w motor? I sent a message to Sal, pretty much said it's more worth it to move up to the 3k, so I've been looking at that 🤣 wanting another perspective I guess.
Just mostly looking for torque because of the rollercoaster that is my commute
I had the chance to actually try the 2000w kit on another bike and it wasn't bad, topped out at about 45ish mph. Didn't have enough testing on hills but the power differential overall is like night and day between the 2kw and 3kw. The 3kw can almost hit 58/59 mph and it ate hills like nothing. We have some really steep hills here in Staten Island and I was cruising up those hills at almost 50 mph lol. I think for an extra $215 it's not that bad of a price difference.
Also if it's too much, you can always dial down the power when you need to in the PAS settings.
Thanks! I think the 3k kit sounds like the route then- might just be coping your old double trianle battery set up too lol
Do you happen to use a bike work stand for your x class when you do these mods? I've been trying to find a strong one so I don't have to prop it on a broom handle between two chairs
I actually use a venom rear wheel jack to keep it propped up. Check them out on Amazon they're great for propping the bike when working on it
I feel like you could’ve just gotten an onyx, delfast, or surron with pedals for the same price. Would be dope if AR had a pro version of this ebike that has a 3000W 72 setup
Correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t think any of those bikes can hit 70mph. Plus, this bike is custom. There’s something special about having something that no one else really has lol
@@andytang462 good point forgot it goes 70
Looks hard to ride in that city without getting hit.
Way different than watching MrCentralDriver ride to work videos
Awesome JB, thnx for the info. I'm waiting for Sal to reply back. He was a little under the weather. Got to love them cellphone zombies!!! STAY SAFE ENJOY YOUR THANKSGIVINGS DAY
You too as well! Happy Thanksgiving!
Translation: Excuse me but does your bike go to church? 😋
Wait is that what he said 😂
actually, it's good, toss'em overboard lolllllllllllllllll
