Looks like Merc is utilizing capoeira as well, an Afro-Brazilian martial art developed by slaves at some time in the 16th century. It's super cool, I really want to learn how to do it now.

The thing that-
The maiden fight and Sun vs Ilia were decent, but when I compare it to this-...this, battle...this fucking fight-

Ah, yes... Vergil and his Beowulf moveset. Also, reminds me main menu theme from Fear Unlimited.
I can’t tell if Merc was holding back, he was supposed to lose, and in the fight when he felt Yang get up he just smiled and mumbled something like “There it is.” I think that’s the scary thing, we don’t know his full strength or even his semblance, assassin indeed.
And now it's confirmed that Merc has no Semblance. Damn.

Imagine Mercury accidentally defeated Yang and yang was knocked unconscious I feel like Cinder and emerald be like Mercury why did you not lose on purpose and Mercury's like I did not know that was going to happen

How did you realise that? He never showed anything better since that Vol3 fight.
@@Prushinthespirit Cause Yang was literally one hit away from being defeated and Mercury was already well aware of her semblance. He let her win on purpose to continue the plan.

@@jknetwork6211 You lose if your aura level drops below 15%, Yang's aura was at 16% when the fight ended.

I loved this song during their fight, kinda bummed that it ended with a sped up version of Yang's song.
"As long as Cinder has me on her side, she doesn't have any use for you!"
This is actually so badass, despite not being some huge bombastic theme.
It's the fact it fits a straight fight with no interruptions or talking the perfect type for a backdrop

Can even see in the video of the fight, when Merc felt Yang get up her semblance going off he mumbled something, and it looked like “There it is.”
Mercury would have absolutely kicked in her face and destroy her in a serious fight

Mercury thrashed her pretty good when she had both her arms, what chance does she have with one and ptsd

Spoiler alert she gets an metal arm and training to use less semblance
what ever happened to RWBY I mean it started out as a fun show where even the food fight was epic and then the show tried to get serious and failed miserable at it can someone tell me what happened
Personally It has only gotten better for me. Vol 3 will always be my favorite because of Pyrrha, but 5 and 6 were too notch. 7 Was really good for me as well. Generally I just love the show
That's what made Volume 3 so good. It starts out lighthearted and fun like the first two, then totally throws you for a loop
For me, volumes 6 and 7 are better than all of the others. Volume 3 is still very amazing, though.
The characters started going downhill by sitting and doing nothing
M&K aren't good writers and seem to have forgotten key elements of the series. Even with Monty admitting that he's a bad writer, that's when the series was at its best.
Could we get the original cut of this song?
