The focus on "family" bonding throughout every season is what makes Rebels a GREAT 4 season show.
So glad ya'll are pumping these out so quickly!!! Season two and beyond is some of the best Star Wars stuff ever produced. Chopper is such a son of a !@#$@#$@# and I LOVE EVERY SECOND OF IT!
Me too, but please up the video quality to 4K, 1080p looks awful on my TV.
I think you jinxed it. This is why I keep my expectations low for this channel. They don’t stick to a consistent schedule for most shows.
Hot tip: there are no "filler episodes" in Rebels. Every episode has future consequences and impact on the series finale.
yea, but some of the early episodes are just not executed well
@@Tarik_sldt lol by the reaction itself I feel like they would disagree
there are few filler episodes. in 2nd and 3rd season
I feel that the term "filler episode" has mutated so much it no longer has meaning. While my narrow idea of "filler" is probably debatable as well, I have no idea how the 4th episode of a series could be considered filler. It's an episode showing the integration of a new crew member we don't really know into an established team. A team, I might add, that we really know nothing about, either. We need episodes developing the characters personalities and their interactions with each other if we're going to care about their failures and accomplishments.
Rebels is my favorite Star Wars show and you will find that this show doesn't have filler episodes every episode will impact something in the future whether it be a season finale or right up to the end of season 4!
I really enjoyed Your reaction! You're great. Thank You. With Rebels You never get totally filler episode. There's always something/someone which You will find to be used later.
I'm so glad you're enjoying this show so much! Love the way Ahsoka being on the way means Rebels is getting a ton of love from the reaction community, too.
There's a lot of people on the Internet that still say Rebels is "mid" or whatever or that the first season is something you have to suffer through to get to the good stuff... but every time I see someone react to it, they're all in, right away.
Vanessa Marshall who plays Hera said in an interview on Collider that R2-D2 is a dog and Chopper is a cat.
That makes so much sense 😂
R2, come home!
@@Achara also the Rebels uses A LOT of unused designs from the original trilogy for aliens and droids. For example Zeb is actually the original design for Chewbacca and Chopper is the original design for R2-D2.
Great reactions, Chopper is a menace and we love him, lol
The show starts off fun, but that’s not necessarily where it ends up: you won’t regret continuing with this show even without the motivation of the forthcoming Ahsoka series 🙂
And in Rebels there are almost no filler episodes - and actually you might find this wasn’t a filler either 😉
Lieutenant List has his own amusing character arc. This episode is important to this season's story arc
them: I like it!! I like the characters!!! This is good!!!
The comments: Don’t worry guys - the show will get better.
I don’t understand the dismissal of season one because it is so incredibly important. A bit more lighthearted but the character work within the crew is needed. This show doesn’t work if you don’t buy/like the Ghost Crew’s dynamic.
It builds the dynamic, yeah, but season 1 is fairly “cartoony” compared to the rest of the show. So it really does get better
@@diegopansini3152
Meh. I disagree. It has a lot of “cartoony” moments through the show on par from what we see in the first few episodes of season one. And it being “cartoony” isn’t a bad thing because, yeah know, it is a cartoon!
Season one is my second favorite season behind season four so I’m a bit bias but the heart and soul of this show is the Ghost Crew and season one allows their dynamic to shine the brightest.
@@62phoenix95 Fair enough
Agreed, season 1 is essential to the show as it helps to establish and introduce so much that will be crucial to the story going forward.
Everything comes together so nicely in the later seasons due to the exposition established here in season 1. Looking back, this is definitely a very well executed first season.
Noticed the Scooby-Doo ruh-roh around 11:40 in. Have you guys looked into who the actual cast is? Shocked neither of you seemed to recognize Kanan's voice actor. 😶
That's the thing about Rebels, it will always leave you wanting more!
Also, rest assure knowing that every episode will pay off. There are no needless fillers in this show, and everything we see will contribute to the overall story in some way.
Rebels gets better with every season 👍, and people often say about Rebels "there are no filler episodes"😁
While an exaggeration, there is some truth to that. Character development is a huge part of this series and arguably its greatest strength. Details that seem insignificant often end up being consequential. Thanks for the upload!
This is really binge watch worthy stuff from Star Wars.. I only finished watching it last year or so and I could NOT put the show down! Truly some of the best Star Wars content there is
Great episodes. Meilroon Fruit was what Grogu squeezed in Mandalorian Season 3.
10:32 It's a good thing Agent Kallus has that helmet to protect his muttonchops.
this show gets so good. keep at it!
R2D2 = loyal pooch, Chopper = crazy semi-loyal cat
Fun reaction! Keep them coming in this pace!
Chopper's personality is sassy and funny! And as others have said, most of Rebels episodes lead to something even if they feel like fillers and as the seasons proceed the emotional investment and pace grow
i just realized how much liam o'brien did voices in this show despite having watched it so many times. XD Sumar, Lyste, and the storm trooper who asked ezra if he did it all for fruit are all voiced by liam. i feel like he got a lotta VO work in this show and star wars shows after this.
Agent Kallus has the GREATEST CHARACTER ARC in this series
I'm always a bit thrown when people cheer for Ezra's force push, given where it is he tapped into to do it. The shock on his face, the loss of motor control, that he almost looks like he's suddenly freezing cold... He did it out of fear. He gave in, lost control.
Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering.
And in many ways it's also foreshadowing. Kanan's training better be damned good, as I've seen what such feeling can do to a fully trained Jedi Knight. To the best of us.
13:40 what you're talking about is a movie principal: "show it now, explain it later" and every good movie or tv-show follows it. And the worst thing a movie / show can do is to start spoon feeding viewers with information from the start.
31:00 Don't worry about "filler" episodes. There are none in Rebels. What at first looks like them, actually have long lasting consequences. Some of them as simple as world building or characters and their relationships building, but most of them have actual impact on the overall story. However, people who watch the show 1st time obviously would not know that until they watch everything till the end and then start again. That is actually why this show is so great. All pieces are nicely connected.
Liam O'Brien (Vax from TLOVM) plays some characters in this show! The farmer who knew Ezra and the Imperial officer in episode 4 :)
I don't know if anyone has mentioned it yet but I believe there is a comic about what happened on lasan I could be wrong but someone told me the description of a T-7 ion disruptor on an organic being would be like all your nerve cells getting triggered at once essentially causing organs to shut down to avoid the pain (hence why it is not explained in the show cause Disney show)
Bail loaned his droids to Minister Tua. Officially both droids are imperial. Tua didn’t use one of her droids should the mission, backfire and the Senate catch wind of the operation to manufacture illegal weapons. This kind of op has Governor Pryce written all over it. Threepeeo is not a rebel he’s an imperial droid owned by the government of Alderaan. He does not know any better when he is in trouble, of course is first instinct is to call the Empire for help.
At-dp DP meaning defense pod That's why they look slightly different
Chopper is Op
Loving the first time reactions here as I’m also getting to relive it with ya as we await the joy of Ashoka
I love both of your reactions. So looking forward to joining you on this journey. Thank you.
We want more reaction to other episodes of star wars rebels❤
I rewatched rebels after watching vox machina and was like "what's Vax doing here?" Turns out Liam O'Brien does a lot of voiceover for the first season, to the point where he's the one threatening to steal his own farm lol.
Ya'll are messing up by not watching The Clone Wars which has some of the best Star Wars content in the whole franchise. Dave Filoni worked on it too, so you know it will be good, and since it's canon and connects to plenty of other Star Wars shows and projects. Rebels is literally a sequel to The Clone Wars
If you'll recall, during their first reaction they mentioned that, to not be totally lost in Ahsoka, this was recommended viewing since it's more of a continuation of Rebels. This series will do a better job filling most of the gaps. Since they've seen Ahsoka's character and possibly been confused by the dialog in the previous live action shows, I'm sure they have gotten a bit of her backstory explained to them.
Who’s going to cry first Achara or Andrew?
Just wait you will see Chopper doing war crimes😂😂😂
I feel like a filler episode is acceptable when you benefit the growth of characters and relationships. Love the Zeb and Ezra mission which ultimately DID play into the main story later.
Such a fun series!
UA-camrs need to stop using the word filler when describing episodes that they think doesn't advance the storyline. You need to look up the definition of "filler". Dave filoni states he hates that word because it describes for him the lack of creative of his work and others. Every episode advances the story in what's to come or callback. Filler is like Dragonball Z where Goku learns to drive and it lasts for one episode and doesn't get brought up or mentioned again. Also reactors need to stop the hate on C-3po he's not privy to the goings on like R2-D2 is where as Leia and his other owners are faking their loyalty to the empire he doesn't know that only R2-D2 does. So naturally he's going to call for help to the people that his owners are loyal too.
Really enjoy the double episode reactions
wonder if they recognized that its Zeb in Mandalorian S3 in the cantina for the new republic pilots.
Yes, they mentioned it in the last reaction
I wouldn't call almost any episodes filler, same with The Clone Wars. Each episode we are expanding the characters, world, lore, and it all drives the plot/story forward
Ahh episode 3, everyone hates Tua, Visago and Kallus. 😅
Tua should have been given a larger role. Pairing her with Kallus would have given a later arc a lot more of a punch.
@@brucechmiel7964l thought it was a good story line with kallus and zeb
@@jamesmeechan6983 Well you are not wrong. Spoilers:
But Kallus’s turn felt a little sudden and underwhelming. Imagine if you will, an alternative perspective.
Tua is a naive believer in the Imperial occupation of Lothal. Fully committed to the people believing that the Empire is there for the planet’s benefit. In both modernizing and industrialization. Which is technically true. If you have read the Thrawn Novel, or you are caught up on Governor Pryce.
Tua is a puppet of Pryce. Tua betrayed the rightful leader of Lothal. Convinced by Pryce of the”greater good”. Tua is a trusted member of the Government and Pryce hates the planet. So while she is off on Courascant, mingling with the Empire’s elite. Tua is given all the responsibilities and the shady assignments. Such as the disrupters. If Tua got caught, Pryce would simply play dumb and continue her games.
Kallus even after his successful campaigns in the outer rim would feel at least some guilt for his victories. It would be really easy for him to be connected to Tua as a relative, or something a bit more intimate. Either way she would be a sorta light in his life.
Well season 2 happens, and after the Episode “The Honorable Ones”, Kallus believes Zeb’s account of the events. Or at least finds reason to look beyond his own pain and anger to think like an investigator.
Later he finds proof that Tua was set up by both Pryce, Tarkin. Tua’s fate would make for a powerful sentiment to turn the people from the Lothal Rebels. That is when he chooses his path in season 3. He has a bit more than just his commonality with Zeb to turn him.
Keep them coming friends, love the reactions ❤
Appreciate the reaction
