Letting you know about MART script. Which can gyro stabilize drills while moving, like a tank turret. But, you probably will need to redo hinges. It requires drills to be attached to hinges directly. Roll stabilization done with hydropneumatics from "Skid Steering Suspensions" My tunnels are silky smooth and dead straight since i started using those.
Someone recommended your channel on discord, loved this episode and can't wait to watch the next! Btw your rover is so cool, it looks alive in some of the shots, reminds me of a mole cricket. Thanks for the great content!
The intro sequence effects and editing are incredible in the SE content space. I love your use of that nasty 70s film filter. It really complements your ships' and engineer skin color palette, and blurs a lot of the dated SE graphics. That dragon mouth ship design and the ramming action were super campy, but it's 100% perfect. Echoes of 1970s stop motion scenes with model ships and monsters. The blinking and g-force blackout effects were great too, with the disjointed shots from inside the tumbling ship. I'm only 1:30 in, and you've totally sold me with the visuals. :D
Your content is 12 out of 10 and your intro is 12 out of 10. You really know what you are doing, mistakes not withstanding, your just awesome. I had to Like and Subscribe.
ye oke u need to be picked up by the algorithm, legit high production qually :) earned my respect me being as a SE vet and enjoyer of high quality content. Keep it up my friend I will watch the rest now :) just wanted to give this first vid a little nudge and you ofcourse ur style is good keep up ! :)
Bro how have I not seen your channel before!? You have edited longform skilled building space engineer content, which is exactly what I'm looking for. Keep up keeping up
Love this play through and the cut up style, getting sick of uncut long plays hahaha. Also there is a mod you can use for controlling the hinges, it’s called [QoL] Mechanical Keybinds. Have made a similar rover using it, is by the same guy who does radio spectrometry and seismic scan mod
I do use the same controls but on off and revers. I have the braking setting for when the hing is off to the same when its on. Reason i do this is when you get to the scale i normaly do the hinges wont stop but when they do it locks Tldr hinges wont respond intently hence on off insted of lock Side note the way you have done those hinges you could swap them out for welder heads when you make the floor of things.😊
waaaay to late to comment, but i saw in a video (think splitsie) . He used an extended piston in his first drill to go up. then build on the extended piston so you get 10m for free when you lower that one first.
50:30 Another plug-in mod that may help you is the GPS Helper. you can use chat commands /gps_on [string] and /gps_off [string]. If you use a naming system for your GPS points, it can be a partial replacement for no sub folders with the GPS folder mod. I can turn off all GPS markers with /gps_off, then turn on only the ones I want with a certain string like all boulders regardless of their ore content that I've coded with "bd": /gps_on bd Or all markers for nickel /gps_on Ni etc.
Hey bro your video is cool and that rover aesthetics were cool can you make a video of you designing a rover/ship withoit slomo and talking over how you choose design options.
You need the PARK script for controlling the hinges and driving. Let me know if you would like help setting it up. It would be a big program for a small thing but you will find many uses in the future too.
"THE DUG" is pronounced differently from "the dog" but i like that name for it as it a mixture of the dog and "dug" is the past tense word for digging. So yeah pretty cool name
Hmm... Okay... So.... Theres this thing called a Merge Block... So when you split the hinge, that was unnecessary.... Coulda saved yourself hours when you needed to spin the large cargo during your mining rover construction by running a line of blocks across the top of your cargos to the forward most conveyor junction and joining both of those subgrids together with a merge block... Even for fun, coulda used a piston to extend the front away if you needed to once the forward cargo was ground off to make a little room and oddly.... With the blocks, would make this thing projectable as a blueprint up to the drill subgrids.... Food for thought.
Custom turret controller will let you drive... Can merge the drill subgrids into one subgrid with my previous comment, turn the torque off on one hinge and custom turret the other as needed, will still let you drive, just like when you use turrets, you can still drive.
Great series so far! Def look forward to seeing the future!. I also played on this map (not with custom solar system) and I loved it! Could you link the GPS FOlder plugin? I can not find it for the life of me... Thank you!
Glad you enjoy it! For the gps folder plugin, you just need the SE plugin launcher and in the main menu you will see a new button name "plugin" in there you should get a list of all available plugins, you just select the want you want / GPS folder. Launcher Github link: github.com/sepluginloader/SpaceEngineersLauncher
Took a look at your Mod collection, could you add the scripts that you use to the collection as well. Would love to take a look at those scripts to see if they are something I wan to use in my play throughs.
Have you thought about opening a survival with other creators? Iv been wanting to do youtube for a long time and iv tried a few time but could never get off my feet with it and id love the possibility of possibly getting together with someone and doing space engineers content!
There is a difference, and you pronounced that difference. "Dug" is the past tense of dig, and "dog" is a domesticated canine that's usually kept as a pet. You don't pronounce "dug" as "dog"
Less than 500 subs and dropping high quality videos like this? Yep. I'm going to be hooked!
Awesome Rover. You did a great job on it !

Alright intresting.... I will check it out, thank you!
Your ARCIS series popped in my recommended list - you got a sub not just because you make some fun videos, but because you credit the mod authors too!
Uhhhh! We will watch your career with great interest!
Bro that introduction was 🔥

39:12 YOU DIDN'T NEED TO COOK THAT MUCH 😭😭😭🤤
now i feel utterly incompetent with my mining ship
Beautiful intro!
Thank you, i love your martian engineering serie.
Damn SE has got some very good content creators these days. And they support each other as well.
Hey mate, just found your channel today and this series has already gotten me pretty invested, awesome intro BTW
I don't care if the rest is crap, the intro alone earned my like
Edit: the rest is just as good 🎉

cool cinematics
You should add pistons to help with scrape mining

Brother you are goin places with this series.
That mining rover is soo cool my guy
Nice intro
I'd leave the 1st set of "deploy hinges" as they are, then load PARK and use Q&E to move the other set whilst mining.
need more se creators on youtube like you, would make the devs update more lol
will sub brother

could you not use a custom turret controller and just use the second hinge as the elevation?
great video and taste of building! pls stop wiggling your mouse to show stuff xD i get motion sickness from that
hahaha yeah the wiggling in the first episode is terrible, it gets better.
Not perfect but better ;)
@@TheBercas yeah i watched all episodes and it's no problem anymore :D ty

My schedule is all over the place, I barely have enough time for this series. I started this series three weeks ago, so will see how it goes! ;)
@@TheBercas i would love to colab or videos who knows it could help me get on my feet with yt bit i cant wait to see how the series goes!!!
when you have 3000 hours in creative and still play survival.... this guy

Cool. How do you record building process from the side?
I record a second pov on my laptop with another steam account. ;)
