Another fun fact about Brandis is after you complete the lost patrol quest, you can kill him before he returns to the Prydwen. And then later he's on the Prydwen anyway. Because there are actually two instances of Brandis in the game, with different RefIDs.
Another detail about Paladin Brandis: if you're currently enemies with the Brotherhood and allied with the Railroad, when the BoS attack the Railroad HQ, you'll end up fighting Brandis when you reach the Old Church room.
Another Paladin Brandis fact: if you kill him to get his sweet looking, unique black officer's uniform, he still shows up on the Prydwen later wearing a green uniform.
IIRC the Giddyup Buttercup dialogue can also happen if you loot the crate of parts, but sell or scrap it before talking to Arlen. If you have the crate on you when you talk to him for the first time, he has even more unique dialogue. He asks his usual "you don't happen to have a crate of parts on you do you?" and you're like "Yeah I do," and he's like "Haha that's funny...wait you're serious?" There's actually a lot of variation with that character, depending on what you ask, whether you've visited the atomatoys factory, whether you have or don't have the parts, etc.
It does if the interior has respawned by the time you talk to Arlen. Basically as long as you have A: been to the factory at some time in the past, and B: there are parts there at the time you actually speak to Arlen, I think those are the only conditions.
Not very often I watch a video like this and learn something I didn’t already know, and yet I only knew 2 of these. You’ve certainly done your homework
"It's still a neat detail that many players miss" gee idk maybe because out of the 11 of my Fallout 4 playthrough, in all 11 of them I choose not to side with the Institute lol Still neat detail collection nonetheless!
The last one shows how silly Fallout 4's writing is again. Some trader woman boasts that she doesn't have to wear a slave collar just because she "takes no shit from anyone" and because she's somehow respected and feared by a bunch of violent raider gangs. And then, with that established, one person comes by, demands her to put on her collar and she instantly folds 😄
Wait, question about #4. How do you get Piper as a companion before finding Diamond City? The only way I know how to get Piper as a companion is by visiting Diamond City for the first time (where Piper is trying to get into Diamond City).
Seeing the Diamond City security guard doing an animation that isn't either walking, talking or standing at their post really unnerves me.
Personally I wish Paladin Brandis was a potential follower. I met him during the lost patrol mission and he felt like a real friend.
Also a Brotherhood follower that you can actually use in the Brotherhood ending.
He should’ve been seeing as we lost Danse

5:16 That's actually really sweet 🥹

same as you storming the base with the institute, i remember bashing his head in with my melee build ontop the liberty bot lmao
I remember that he actually sides WITH you if you fight the Brotherhood. At least so if you fight for the Institute at Liberty Prime

Twas a flesh wound.

Man, going through an “evil” ending after a “everybody’s happy” one, I’ve missing some details. I found the Loose End one today while playing.
Fact 5 addendum: if you took all Buttercups from HQ, you won't have this option. Although, I really didn't know about this, thanks😢

My first playthrough I went with the Institute. It was sad killing everyone (bar the Minutemen) but it had to be done.

You could litteraly do the same thing with Lanius in FNV
you know... overconfident/delusional people exist in real life too
This comment just shows you don't know anything about writing.
What does that have to do with writing?? I swear media literacy is dead
Bugthesda never had good writing in their Fallout games
I got fallout 3 for free on epic games store but I can't run it. It freezes when I click on new game then crash to desktop. Can anyone help?
Update your graphics driver
The sad thing about brandis is if you convince him to go back before the brotherhood arrives you dont get the gun as far as i know.
GOG❤
takes shit once
completely folds

You can’t. The quest he’s referring to is post-Institute destruction.
@@blazep629 Ahh, got it, thanks. I was confused at first but get it now.
