@@raptorhacker599 air cooler For my Ryzen R9-3900x (then R7-5700X3D) I bought the Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120se for really cheap. I used the program "Fan Control" to set custom fan curves and my PC is dead silent... note that AM4 and AM5 are ninety degrees offset so you need an offset mounting probably if you have AM5.
I used to be all about air coolers until I bought my Galahad 2 LCD 360 AIO. If you buy an AIO with PWM capability for both the pump and the fans, you can configure your ideal curves in bios for both the pump and fans. I never hear noise anymore.
If they used all 8mm it would end up off most IHS. By mixing them they have a better chance of all heat pipes actually contacting the IHS and actually being useful.
I have this cooler, sitting on a shelf. I got it originally planning on doing a new build with the 285k.. but after Intels flop with Arrow lake in gaming performance I decided I'll wait for the Ryzen 9950X3D. Id be curious if Noctuas offset mounting bracket would be compatible with this cooler for AMD. I'll have to do some searching around, though unfortunately PCCooler isn't a well known brand here in the west.. I ordered the RZ820 because it has a similar look to the Assassin IV, and Deepcool is sanctioned here in the US, unfortunately.
It is interesting to see that the Fans weren't matched in CFM. And wouldn't that middle 140mm fan benefit from higher pressure considering the fins restricting airflow in both directions? Not asking you to redo the tests, but might be interesting if a better speced 140x30mm fan would improve the results. But it would be a headache to try and match the front/middle fans 😅
Hi guys, I have a few questions before I put together my new pc. Im not too experienced with electronics and things like that so I was wondering if a RTX 2080 TI and a i5 11400 would be a good pairing, I play games like msfs 2020, GTA 5, FH5, Assetto Corsa, and MXGP 2021 the rest of the parts I will use are the Corsair Vengeance DDR4 16GB ram, Asus B560m-k, Cooler Master MWE 750w gold psu, in the Cooler Master MB320l case. Will these pairings be bottlenecked? If so how much will the performance be impacted, will the gpu and cpu utilisation be put out to its maximum, etc. A little more background about the parts, the CPU, ram, motherboard and ssd will be from my old pc, the rest of the parts will be new except for the 2080 ti I am about to buy one for 350 aud, it is a MSI gaming trio x card he bought it brand new back in 2018, he told me it was used for gaming daily for around 3ish hours, the other card is a Gigabyte model and has been used lightly in his flight sim. Is there any other things I should know?
i dont like air coolers that are forcing to use their own fans like this cooler and assassin 4,maybe dark rock pro 5, kinda anti consumer, the same as Dells prebuilt pc's, some parts cant be changed or swapped with different ones unless you ship back to dell
Wow that is way more expensive than I would have expected for PCCooler. Their fans are typically very reasonably priced, so I would have anticipated better from an air cooler by them.
Plus ain't nobody paying 140 dollars for an air cooler when there are 360mm aios (like arctic freezer) that cost significantly LESS than this air cooler.
ok my Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 is technically tied with this one and it costed me $25 in my country currency like couple months ago
Bro same. My thermalright assassin is goated 😂 and only cost me $30aud
Is that aio?

@@raptorhacker599 no, that's an air cooler from Thermalright
If you filter out all the watercooling variants, it’s actually quite impressive…
Hi STS, thanks for supporting CPS.
this is a BBC, big black cooler
😂😂😂
😏
the fact people are laughting at this is actually concerning
AYO
@@mndmrr your mom would love this as well

Good luck when the pump dies or you have to fill it up with water

As a Noctua user I would pick this for a mid-tier or budget build depending on situation.
Hi STS thx for all the testing on this channel - could you make the text a little bigger on xy graphs ,pls :-)

that cooler is clean af
it took my 4 and a half minutes to realise this wasn't a deepcool cooler.
820 is probably a wordplay to be in competition with H2O (AiO), and 8 is probably about the 8 heatpipes.
Can you please review the Thermalright Burst Assassin 120 EVO Dark? There is no real review that i could find.
get Phantom Spirit for few bucks and powerful Aircool
it been proved anyway
THIS OR FROZN A720?
I got the ID cool A720 as my air cooler for my i9 12900ks
This cooler may benefit from an offset mount for AMD processors. This would shift the center of the cooler towards the core die(s).
Oops all heat pipes

looks like heatsinks have hit a wall ages ago. Anything "major" design changes usually only gives 1-2C improvements lol
We're all waiting for thermosiphon coolers to come to market, but don't hold your breath. DeepCool is sanctioned, and Noctua will take a decade.
looks like a Dark Pro 5
Minor benefit over a cooler 1/3 cost. The only people who would consider this is those who would spend for Noctua.
This is just deepcool under a different name right?

I don't think there's any way a manufacturer can actually stop you from zip tying your own noctua case fans to the cooler
I believe single tower coolers with the pipes running up and down, rather than side to side like a dual tower, are the way to go on AM4/5 sockets.
Sorry for the stupid question but what do you mean for pipes running "up and down" and "side to side"?
The cooler is bigger than the MaC M4 mini pro.
I can’t get this where I live, I’m in aus

Air coolers finally catching up to the PowerMac G5! 😂
It's the company that can't be named.
Now when it's gonna be available in europe :)
i just pissed on my wall
7:21 Average Core Spoot in MHz? lol
*doesn't work well on AMD*
Be specific. AM4 has the chiplets at ninety degrees to AM5 so would work fine with the cooler AFAIK.
This vs cryorig monster xx
So a CPU cooler performing worse then Themralright while costing more and performing worse than AIO costing less? Sounds like a huge L.
meh we all know that new thermalright cooler will dominate again :D
This gets a ultimate overall L because of noise. Who cares how good it is if it sounds like a jet engine.
Impressive cooling but ugly as hell.
Sorry, the cooler is just ugly, no matter how well it cools.
You won't be able to see the motherboard at all if you install this monster
