Brilliant video Rubina ❤️ I have worked and am still working in the Luxury Beauty segment and you've rightly pointed out the various gimmicks used by brand likes Forest Essentials and now Kama. Selling products disguised as Ayurveda inspired have nothing Ayurvedic about them . They are mostly manufactured by private label contract manufacturers and the brands just keep adding or removing a few ingredients here and there. As for the costs ,you've summed it up beautifully. Thanks for these videos. They not only educate us , but also create awareness towards saving our hard earned pennies. ❤️

@@RubinaSkincare I understood what all of you said. I am using Kumkumadi oil from 'The Ayurvedic Experience' for ₹650/- for 30 ml. I can see my face changes after using only 2 weeks. But I am against Kama & Forest Essentials for over pricing the product. Kottakal Kumkumadi tailam ₹453 for 10 ml is the best oil #1. Even doctors suggest this oil. It's from South India. I am using both from TAE and Kottakal at the same time. Both work fine for my skin.

With the entry of brands like Minimalist, ER, Deconstruct, Sugandha I find there is absolutely no need for expensive products. I don't even bother with Korean skincare because I am too paranoid about counterfeits. I buy direct from Indian brand websites, try to eat clean, n am good. I feel it is more advisable to spend on health food like A2 ghee than high-end creams n serums.

    Hi mam
There is a renowned hospital in Kerala called Kottakkal Aryavaidya shala and their products are made according to the ayurvedic texts. They have kumkumadi tailam which has only 18 ingredients and is way cheaper than the Kama one. But they won't suggest using it without examining the person.
And like you rightly mentioned, ayurveda focuses more on internal medicines.

I want to point out one thing that a lot products which look pricier because they are imported in India like korean brands Paula's choice. If you buy from an Indian brand and calculate the price like for 30 ml salicylic acid product we are paying 699,799 and then for 100 ml.......you can see how much pricier they are and those imported products becoming cheaper. And if you get discount then boom. I think we all should calculate like this. Only few brands from Indian origin are genuinely keeping the price on point.

Heyy....I am a malayali...from Kerala. I have used kumkumadi oil from Kottakkal ayurvaidyashala... The ultimate o.g's when it comes to Ayurveda. Their product is way more cheap. Definitely more expensive than their other products...because it has a lot of saffron and it's manufacturing is very difficult than their other products. It's priced at around rs350 if I'm not wrong. It's a must try. 😊

Rubina ❤️ is literally a Fairy Godmother 😂
All her ardent followers are sorted in my opinion. I've had my first bout with adult acne, androgenic alopecia and other conditions ( hello, modern stressful lifestyle). But because I've been following you, within ten days of developing extremely bad cystic acne for the first time, I was not clueless!! I knew the products I needed, the supplements I needed, the tests I needed, the lifestyle changes I must make, and the diet changes I must make. All the co relation b/w stress, hormones, inflammation, skin and hair conditions and overall living standard was so well explained on this channel prior to my condition getting worse. For now, I'm healing in more ways than one.

Firstly, I am glad I met you..
I am gonna share my journey of how my skincare game changed meeting you.
    1. Initially I too fell for the whole natural/ organic gimmick. I wasted money on buying face cream/ kumkumadi oil / rosehip oil that are full of essential oils.. This led to a weaken skin barrier.
    2. Meeting you.. I learnt the importance of science behind skincare. How to be smart to invest on something that will actually show results.
    For eg- retinol/ vitamin C/ chemical peel/ sunscreen & a good moisturize (aveeno/ sebamed/ bioderma)
Now, my skincare is simple yet very effective.
All hail to you Rubina ma'am ❤
I have selected my go to brands that are backed by science & no BS

Rubina ji I am in love with your channel, your honesty and dedication to skincare was the reason I started investing in skin care, thanks for that. I have a request for you, can you please test out some of the hyped products of Pilgrim's like their 5% niacinamide, kakadu plum vitamin c. Whenever i use their 20% vitamin c i see the brightness on my skin only in few days, but the thing how can a skin care product gives you the fast results or its just a hyaluronic acid that makes my skin smooth. One thing more, none of their products have low customer ratings, all their products are above 4.3. How could this be possible?? Is it a marketing trick or their products are genuinely good. Please throw light upon its products.

Thank you Shizuka. I loved the og pilgrim vitamin c...and used it for a longgg time. Then when I was trying the newer products I pinged their CC for product info and was told that they cannot share the percentages as its a trade secret. I have never bought again from them.
