I have always used public transportation and bicycle to get around. As for Copenhagen in particiular parking is a nightmare, and whatever time you save when taking a car, is spend with strange one diraction streets, finding a parking space and walking to your destination, from whereever you find a place to park. If it is less than 15 min by bicycle, then it is faster than taking the car, unless you have a parking space at the place you work. When going outside of copenhagen public transportation is pretty good, but some places are not very accessable. Most have bicycle and public transportation as their primary way of transportation, and with e-bikes and e-scooters, it has become much easier. And if you have to go outside then rental og taxies - i think they did a study on peoples car-habits, with distances they use their cars etc, that showed that if you used your car less than 4 times a week, it would be cheaper to use taxies. But a bit outside of copenhagen, cars really makes life easier, as well as if you have children, who cant ride public transportation og bicycles yet to school. As for doctor checkups, a lot of them don't really have an effect, and are just a money mashine for doctors. And because we have public healthcare they will only do the ones they know have an effect, where a private healthcare system, the doctor will do any checkup you will pay for, no matter if they work or not. However checkups in regards to lifestyle diabetes, obesity, etc, and there are some other screenings, they do exist. But there are some that are not offered. Most screenings have limited or no effect, and they do more damage end good. - dental being private healthcare, is not under these controls of the government, so they can pretty much charge whatever they want and offer treatments that you might not need or might benefit you. They are pretty fair most of them, but there are defenetly rotten apples, but you have no way of knowing if. Pretty much like if you go to a car mecanic and you don't know anything about cars. And yes prices on dental services really suck.

@emeraldrhyme5634 Moving to Portugal from Denmark is relatively straightforward since both countries are in the EU. You won’t need a visa or residence permit to live and work in Portugal. However, if you plan to stay for more than 90 days, you’ll need to register with the local authorities and get a residence certificate (`Certificado de Registo de Cidadão da União Europeia`). Research the different regions in Portugal to find the one that best suits your lifestyle. You’ll also want to set up your health insurance, either through Portugal's public healthcare system or a private provider. Learning some Portuguese will definitely help you settle in and integrate into the community, though many people, especially in cities, do speak English. Enjoy your new adventure in Portugal 😍😍
