This is a cool project. I cant wait to see it come together, all those colorful squares. I like the ribbons stitched in the blocks. And that feathery one you showed with the tiny beads, beautiful work! Love that one. Make another of those please. Sometimes my sister knits blankets with random rows of yarn. Different widths, stitches, yarn weights, colors. They are beautiful for their randomness. Your quilt with its many colors and stitches will be similar I think.
I have a couple of blocks prepped with the feather stitch ready for beads. I will work on one of those for you soon. I love to make scrap blankets like the ones your sister does. I have the yarn stash to prove it too lol
Hi all! I am loving these videos. I just got back into Crazy Quilting for retail projects. Wow have things changed. A few things that have helped are first off a glue stick! I a pretty free flowing and tend to create as I go so heading to the machine is cumbersome. I use the glue stick to tac my fabric down and it is a huge time saver. Also, I discovered Wildflowers embroidery floss by Caron it is a single strand hand-dyed cotton in variegated colors so I do not have to keep changing threads. OMG let me tell you that the satin stitch looks amazing.
Hi I love to dance and we have a pit bull named Otto. He weighs 90 lb but he is gentle as a butterfly. Thank you and I just subscribed to your channel. I am a newbie at this .But I am learning to do this to make wall hanging and put on cards and also journals
I love your crazy quilt patterns. I've been hand embroidering since I was five ( ok, I'm 68) lol. My Hungarian grandmother taught me since I was a sickly child. Anyway, keep them coming and I'll be watching and stitching along with you. Thank you for sharing your ideas and just chatting. I'm a dog lover too. '
I think by doing the bright colors on all of them it will help tie the misfit blocks together. Or it will just look crazy and that's ok too lol. You gotta show me your work somehow.
Amazing as always my idea is for you teach a stitch a week that goes into a fiscal stitch guide dictionary that way we learn loads of stitches and how to make a fabric book that the stitches go on all the pages please please that would be wonderfully inspiring x
I don't have equipment for youtube video displaying 😕 but idea show you two ways one yarn has ready to stitch or use needlefelt needle use push any floss, yarn into fabric tht pop up on right side from wrong side of fabric. Fuzzy soft fleece alike. I can send pix might work hmm? Ok
Something like tht can use type thread floss as a textile on crazy quilt. I try find needlefelt needle small size. I look find pix of tht type. Try stitch punch. It will look beauty. Brb
Hi Rebecca! Such beautiful stitches! I love the idea of all the mismatched squares into a quilt! And since you are so inspiring...and will not hold it against me that I am not a seamstress of any kind lol...I am gonna give this a try and send you a square! Do you want them by a certain time?
Read your title three times. Three times I read it butthole... I am a child... lol Then preceded to giggle when you said buttonhole stitch. Beautiful work, love the chit chat. Love you, happy Friday.
I like the pearl cotton size 8 with a needle that allows the thread to go in easily. If I want a really fine effect I use one strand of embroidery floss with a size 11 quilting needle
The block party has started!

Thanks. The Whackadoodle Quilt needs a little sister. I think I have enough blocks. I just need to carve out some time to embroider.

Love that feather stitch. Can you do a piece showing that stitch with the little decorative attachments to them? Thank you. 🌈🙏💜🙏🌈
I will certainly try. I might already have a video on it though but it's been so long I can't remember
The feather stitch is my favorite stitch too!!!!
Those blocks are really fabulous! The embroidery makes them so special. Thank you for sharing, sister! Hugs, Julie 🥰
I am really excited about this project!
I love your tutorials I’m learning a lot
Happy to hear that!

I need to do some more stitching videos. I was on a crochet binge but I am finally finishing up some projects, Thanks for stopping by!
Thanks for sharing your talent❤ I'm amazed at all the different types of art you can do.
I hope no one thinks I am showing off. I just can't focus on one thing for long periods of time so that's why I do a lot of different types.
Not at all! We appreciate your sharing!❤
Your square are beautiful, I stitched on Libbys lap quilt while watching you.
I think by doing the bright colors on all of them it will help tie the misfit blocks together. Or it will just look crazy and that's ok too lol. You gotta show me your work somehow.
beautiful! and the misfits blocks will make a crazy crazy quilt
That's what I am counting on! The crazier the better lol
These blocks are so cool. Thank you for sharing.
I think they will be spectacular when they are finished. Whackadoodle fabulous lol
I was doing the Herringbone and thought it was the Cretan stitch!😂 still looked ok.
In your defense they do seem to be closely related 😂
Purty, purty! One of my favorite stitches is the buttonhole stitch. I have no idea why. I've just always loved the way it looks.
I like it a lot too. You can easily add so many things but it looks great all by itself.
COOL!!!
Thanks Victor, love ya xoxoxoox
I love these crazy squares ❤🤗 thank you so much for sharing!
Thank you for watching. I am putting together a project using your fabrics!
Amazing as always my idea is for you teach a stitch a week that goes into a fiscal stitch guide dictionary that way we learn loads of stitches and how to make a fabric book that the stitches go on all the pages please please that would be wonderfully inspiring x
I'll have to figure out the best way to do this. No promises but I will look into it.
@@danceswithpitbulls that would be amazing if you could thank you so much xx
I second that idea!!!!!
Wonder if you can add needlefelt stitches punch line on crazy quilt. My fav. So soft fleece stitch style. Yum 😁😊
I'll bet you could! If you do please let me know how it turned out.

Maybe foxes too....
Hugs, have a great weekend.
si mariposas! I will start hoarding foxes too!
My mom said the fly stitch doesn't look like a fly :)
It's gonna be so pretty when it's done - whackadoodles, but pretty!
LOL @ your mom :P I may just call this my Whackadoodles Quilt!!!
@@danceswithpitbulls I like it! :)
Thenks😊👍💥
You are most welcome xoxoxox
I had to giggle because your wonky stitches made me think you should call them crazy daisy stitches :D
And Crazy Daisy Stitches they shall be LOL!!!
Hi Rebecca! Such beautiful stitches! I love the idea of all the mismatched squares into a quilt! And since you are so inspiring...and will not hold it against me that I am not a seamstress of any kind lol...I am gonna give this a try and send you a square! Do you want them by a certain time?
Nope just whenever you get one done...this will be at least a 6-month project I am guessing. Thanks!!!
I use the Harringbone stich because i can't do the creeton stich
If I can do it you can do it. They are very similar in how the needle goes into the fabric
Is the block put together with batting behind it? Then you attach the backing to the block?
No it's built on a muslin foundation square. Crazy quilts don't usually have batting although I have used it as a sort of stabilizer before.
Read your title three times. Three times I read it butthole... I am a child... lol Then preceded to giggle when you said buttonhole stitch. Beautiful work, love the chit chat. Love you, happy Friday.
BAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! I misread things ALL the time!
Hermoso los bordados... Tenés más vídeos, con más explicación? Gracias ❣️😊
Sí, tendrás que buscar en mi lista de reproducción Crazy Quilting. Debería haber cuatro o cinco más.
Gracias, lo buscaré... Hermoso los bordados... Bellísimo... Te felicito 😊❣️❣️
Hi there, on your thinner thread,,, what is your size choice and needle used?
I like the pearl cotton size 8 with a needle that allows the thread to go in easily. If I want a really fine effect I use one strand of embroidery floss with a size 11 quilting needle
size 5 DMC floss, but what size needle please?
I don’t know needle sizes. If the thread fits I use it. I buy the packs with a lot of different sizes.
😊❤🎉
💐👄💃🌻
Question...how much length of thread do you use when you thread your needle
I never actually measure but I have a suspicion it's about 18". I take off like 1 1/2 times around the skein.
I would like to see you do a spider Webb with a spider.
I'll try to remember to do that.
Thanks for sharing. Any stitches you can show are welcomed by me.
OK I'll just keep muddling along then lol
Misfit blocks = crazy quily
Yep they went into my Whackadoodle quilt top
When you say sooo did you mean sew. Lol
sometimes I dooooooo :P
🙏🤗👍🔥🙏
You are “hoop-less” 🤣😂🤣!
I have piles and piles of hoops but I remain hoop-less lol Ohhh I should make some dream catchers!
I just had to say it....😂🤣😂🤣😂
