From one star to another "thanks for being you". This is bringing me back to some traditional surfacework. There should be a Love button for Marion's World.
I think so too.. I love being a stitching sister. How wonderful! I've got a new project I'm desperate to start... All from the driftwood... There's never enough hours though!
You are a great teacher Marion. I love the way you dissect complicated work into simpler units. Thank you for sharing your techniques. Have fun visiting your daughter! ❤
Hi Marion, I just wanted to let you know that I use your video tutorials as a resource, like a reference book that I keep going back to. It’s not a case of one and done! I usually watch it through once and then I get a good sense of the content and I find myself going back and watching and listening more closely and trying to follow instructions. Marion you are a gem and I am very grateful for all that you share and I am so happy that I can go back to videos whenever I need to. I know money is important to survival but I hope you don’t measure your success on the $$$ you do or don’t get from UA-cam. Anyone in my life who will listen knows how that there is a wonderful woman on UA-cam named Marion and she is one of my teachers. Your videos bring me peace, happiness, joy and knowledge and that all helps to make me a nicer person to be around. What you do has a great ripple effect. Thank you 🙏 dear Mariin
What a wonderful message to read Cathy. Thank you so much.💐 Of course I just would like my channel to do well... But it's more about sharing knowledge and skills and being able to talk to people I would never have known at all... It's just amazing how I get messages from all over the 🌎... Of course I have to say that the money I've started to get via the ads has been a great help .. I have bills to pay just like everyone else and I've another year to go before I can get my state pension... But the main thing is that I enjoy making things, I enjoy making the videos, and just want everyone to like them so they do well ☺️🤞🤞🤞
I really enjoyed watching you stitch your crazy patchwork - loving the raw edges! Looking forward to the next video. Have a lovely time visiting your daughter ❤❤
My husband cannot believe that I am doing embroidery! Told him that is because I’ve never found a good teacher until I found you. So thank you 💐He’s also complaining that I keep raiding his rag bag 😂😂
Marion , you are so inspiring and I want to do everything. You are so lovely and I enjoy all your videos and spending time with you . Thanks again 🪡🧵♥️
Lovely! I love a good Crazy Quilt block, they are super fun and so pretty with all the random stitches on them. I definitely agree with NO Rules, just play and enjoy the process!
Absolutely fascinating. I love watching you stitch, and I love hearing your tutorials, and I feel empowered to create as you do. I'm just absolutely loving your stitch-along ❤❤❤ Thank you, Marion, for sharing your joy of sewing and embroidery ❤
I am Not much of an enbroyderie lady but that seems like real fun. Know I am thinking of giving it a try. Thanks for explaining the stiches so very well. Have tun with your daughter ❤
This is outstanding Marion! Loved all of your magical meanderings on your cloth. You're wonderful, what an inspiration you have been again - THANK YOU. 🌺⭐😘
Hi Marion. Love the spontaneity of your decision making whilst stitching, that’s what I like too. No planning, just ’going’!😊 Have a lovely visit with your daughter ❤
Definitely just go for it... What's the worst that can happen? You get to do more sewing or knitting or whatever you particularly enjoy. And that can't be bad surely..😅
Hello Marion. That piece of stitching was lovely to watch. I’m already looking forward to what you decide to add to it later on. Have a wonderful time with your daughter, and we will all look forward to what you show us next.
How absolutely sweet. Thankyou for making it simple with the stitches because although i really love crazy patch im scared of it feeling like im out of my depth. Enjoyed that very much and with all the colours. Very gypsy like right up my alley. 🥰🥰
I'm sure that you enjoyed the fabric and yarn and everything stitchy show. I would love to go to something like that. Thank you for the wonderful tutorials. You made everything look so easy and beautiful. Have safe travels to your daughters and enjoy your time with her.❤
So lovely thanks for showing us this with teens coming up I hope they will learn these stitches and sewing Because it’s not passed as it use to be ,,so awesome you are taking the time to show us and every body hove lovely it makes it ,,
Hi Marion…. looking forward to the crazy patchwork page all new stitches for me….first of all I need to finish my tree page. Have a lovely time with your daughter…. thank you for all your hard work. 🌸🌸🌸
I was taught "tailor's tacks" by my needlework teacher so a rose by any other name lol 😆 as long as it gives the desired effect. Your description and instruction is perfectly clear 👌 x
A wonderful idea Marion to select crazy patchwork for this stitch book as so much variation is possible. Just love the build up of stitches along every seam. Would never have thought of raw edges as a choice; you are inspirational!
Thanks for showing how to do a zigzag!!! Lol, it would never have entered my brain to do it using straight stitches😅 I have also picked up from watching you stitch the little trick of placing your thumb over the thread as it pulls through.... That has saved me many a knot!!! So, thank you for all you teach and show❤ I'm thinking, that crazy patchwork would make a beautiful patch pocket on a plain skirt or pinafore 💡😎
Wow that is beautiful, I've always wanted to try this type of embroidery but it looked so complicated that I never tried it, you have made it so easy to follow. Thank you
Thanks for all Marion nice to learn more if wee don’t share things wee do it all disappears & lost anyway have a fab time with your Daughter be good. Peter Scotland xx
Lovely Marion, another technique to try! And tonight I finished the Dear Jane quilt as I was watching your video. It certainly was a large project. Have a nice visit with your daughter.
Thank you so much for this video - it was really fun to see, that it wasn’t all that difficult 😅and I think I would like a bag sewn with crazy patchwork. I did another shopping haul for pretty second hand fabrics today so I have more variety for the Kawandi blanket and the scraps could go into a crazy patchwork bag. You are such a good teacher - making these beautiful creations seem ok to try. 🌷🌺🫶🏻🍀🌸🥰
I love crazy quilting so much ! I definitely will be trying to do mine with a raw edge, as you stitch over the seams anyway, & that is very secure. Great idea, Marion !!! Your channel is my favorite & I look forward to each time you post a new one ! Enjoy your daughter !!! 💗
Oh this is so neat! I enjoy you introducing so many different ways to appreciate and use what we have. The crazy patchwork will help me get rid of some wee bits of fabric I keep because they are too pretty to throw away, but too small to do anything with it. I also love the combination of stitches making cute patterns and flowers. Thank you for teaching and inspiring all of us Marion. Have a joyful and safe trip!❤
Hi Marion. Just wanted to let you know how much I've learned watching you embroider. You are a great teacher. Also the combination of painting and embroidery. Thank you so much. From Oz 🇦🇺
This was very inspiring. I loved the first seam treatment, and I didn't know that perle cotton came in variegated. It really dresses up the patchwork. The stitching must look a mess on the back, but maybe that will be enclosed and not seen.
I think this is a great technique for a project that won't get washed as often as say a quilt. I'm making a knot bag and struggling with the raw edges. I find myself adding numerous whip stitches to make it satisfactory to my eye! ha ha. But I'm trying to chill out and enjoy the process! Next time however, I will do it kawandi style to relax the quilter in me and be pleased with the seams. Your stitches are lovely.
Horses for courses I suppose. It's working well here but it won't everywhere. Also depends on how much embellishment is going to be put on too. Lots of factors. Is your knot bag for a special occasion?
That is so nice I always loved crazy patchwork, but I didn’t know how to start. But now I know and be starting my crazy patch. I was so enjoying the tree, he ended up lovely with all those different stitches. But I don’t put it on instagram . Have a lovely time Marion with your daughter looking forward to next week🥰
You are amazing! This is so lovely and with very simple stitches, thank you so much for sharing your wonderful talents with us, I am totally in awe ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧 Ps I’ve always been at a loss as to what to do with my cross stitching for example, as I don’t have a lot of wall space for frames, and I have more than enough cushion covers, so whilst watching you I’ve been thinking what I would/ could do with embroidery like this, and have decided that I’m going to have some very fancy patch pockets on my dresses 😂😂😂
That's brilliant! I'm all for using our older stitched pieces creatively... Better used than forgotten in a drawer! You'll smile every time you wear your dress!
