P365 SAS here. Realized I hated the low profile fiberoptic sight on it and I used it like that for a year to be fair. Replaced with an adapter plate and red dot. No longer Sig“Anti-Snag” but is now a far more enjoyable and far quicker sighting pistol for me.

Cool how people have finally come around to the p365. I don’t think Sig got a fair shake with this gun at first but they stood firm behind their product. Sig has got the best people working for them making them one of the most innovative and consumer-friendly companies.
Hey Chris, the 15 rounder fits it as well. It looks a little goofy but shoots out just fine. When I go out, the 10 or 12 rd mag goes in and it goes IWB. As soon as I get home the 15 rd goes right back in and stays there until I go out again. EVERY TIME I shoot the little gun it brings a big, poop-eating grin to my face because it just should not do that! It SHOULD want to jump out of my hand, but it doesn't. It SHOULD not be as accurate as a mid-size pistol out to about 25-30 yds. It's just amazing---truly. I've found my carry answer, I hope everyone else finds theirs. Thanks man, keep up exactly what you're doing.
I’ve been carrying it ever since some of your very first reviews on the gun 4 years ago. I’ve since went to a 365X w/ a Wilson Combat Grip and that was a huge game changer for me. The Wilson combat pairing on the XL Frame is hard to beat for 365 days a year carry. Thanks for another great vid man!
I added a Wilson grip frame with the tungsten inserts to my p365 and a straight trigger. It is noticeably heavier but still easy for everyday carry. This system helps manage the recoil. The p365 is my EDC gun, using both a tuckable IWB holster and an OSW holster depending on the season. Keep up the good work on your channel.
I just ran across this video again and rewatched it. I have something to add. I recently moved away from my Glock 26 and to the the 365-380. Two reasons, I couldn’t find a comfortable way to carry the 26. With a spare tire all the way around my body holster carry was not happening. After much exhausting video review I found that a 9mm hollow point out of these short barrel guns generally won’t open when going through clothing because of lack of velocity. That being the case your not really giving up a lot going to the 380 in such a small gun. The 365/380 fits nicely in my pocket in its holster and you can just go on about your business. It’s been a real learning lesson dealing with what comprises you have to make to find a carry gun that works for you.
I love the Sig P365. I love the grips (like sandpaper), I love the night sites, and the reliability with ammo. I have a Shield Performance Center. The grip in the summer is slippery (not good). The Glock 19 was my go-to until I found this wonderful sidearm.
Love my p365 XL added the Wilson combat grip frame with tungsten weight kit and it shoots like a dream! I also have the p365 for super conceal ability. Just awesome pistols in my opinion.
SAS stands for "Sig Anti-Snag". Meaning no sharp points or corners to catch on clothing for pocket carry etc. I have the P938 SAS and it is an outstanding pocket gun. I imagine the P365 SAS is also. Thanks for these great videos Chris.
I found the FT bullseye sight to be completely different than iron sights. Being new to shooting means the training options are not set from many reps. For me, the sig sas FT sighting process ulilized the top of the slide for elevation and side the the slide for windage. From there, the center circle alignment takes over as a fine tuning. The center circle is not visible until closely aimed. This can cause some confusion as to which direction to correct the aim. Additionally, more of the target disappears behind the sight when on target. So, it's just different and requires practice. I can imagine it could be a quicker sighting method.
I love this gun got mine when I couldn't get a hell cat and I am in love with this gun hasn't jammed on me in over 400 rounds at the range, Also love the channel thanks for being honest. This is my go to channel when I see new guns you try out to see which fire arms are best.
I bought a P365 XL with a Romeo 0 and immediately put a Streamlight TLR7 on it. Fantastic all around gun for home defense and for CC with 12+1 magazine. I agree that the 9mm can have a rather strong recoil not for everyone. Great video. Im big a fan of the channel!
@@markwoodward1716 I was in a hurry and bought from Black Scorpion an IWB for the gun only (no light). But I hear that Werkz Holsters has the model for the gun + light.
The base optics ready P365 with mag disconnect loaded chamber indicator and ambi thumb safety was just recently added to the CA 'safe handgun ' roster! I'm in the process of purchasing one now... Gotta wait 10 full days before I'm able to take possession of it... Great stuff as always Brother... Stay safe God Bless ✌️🇺🇲
Was thinking that I would pick that up to until I heard it gets super warm after just 50ish shots and if that’s true it’s not a weapon I would like to have since then it’s not really a range gun to practice with to use as a concealed outside the range if it’s true that is just my 5c opinion
@@ItsAMbutyoutubechangedmyname I don’t find that true at all. I’ve run mag after mag after mag at the range with my macro and haven’t had to put it down to cool once.
@@ItsAMbutyoutubechangedmyname All the p365s can do this. so can metal trigger glocks (or any metal trigger handgun like say shadow systems). The X Macro doesn't do this more than any other P365 series.
Love my original P365 and my new Macro. The OG is great for summertime deep concealment but I’ve really enjoyed the lack of muzzle flip w/ the new Macro. Both are outstanding pistols and serve their purpose. Great vid, thanks!
I use my original for the same reason, summer time carry, sweatpants in winter, ect. I was looking at either getting the p320 x compact Pro or the 365 macro to fill the rest of the time. I haven't decided on either yet because I wasn't sure if the comp would actually make any kind of difference from the original.. i'm glad to hear it does. Definitely a big factor in my decision.
The P365 XL is so good that it finally got me into the game of subcompact/microcompact carry pistols, as opposed to just awkwardly concealing full size pistols to take advantage of their tradtionally far better shootability. The XL at least in my hands, sacrifices *nothing* to a full size polymer pistol for EDC, while offering the advantage of better concealability and lighter weight. So yeah, I'd say it's a high water mark for the industry.
@@njrmax72 I enjoy the firearm as well. Makes me shoot better than some full size guns. I tried the Kimber Mako, the CZ p10s, CZ p01, CZ p07, and IMO The 365xl blows them away. Don't forget your +2 mag guts for an extra 1/8" for a 14+1 capacity
Just FYI for anyone wanting a weapon light for the X Macro: I am running a TLR-8 on mine and it’s perfect. The front edge of the light only sticks out about ⅛” past the forward end of the slide/muzzle. Makes for a great EDC set-up. I already had a G19/23 soft-sided holster and it fits that very well.
Great video! I just picked up a P365x two weeks ago, and I spent the weekend shooting it. I love the "slimness" of the grip. It fits my hands far more comfortably than my Glock 19, for example. This is very subjective, but I feel like the recoil/muzzle flip that I get on my P365x is a fair bit less than from my Glock 43X. I'm sure it's a combination of grip angle, grip width and bore axis, but I can shoot the P365x much more comfortably than any of my other 9MM compacts. In fact, to me, it feels like shooting my .380 Glock 42. Anyway, it's a great little gun, and I can't wait to start tinkering with it.
Great review with lots of cool info. On a personal note I would recommend against any "conceal carry" gun with cut-outs on the side or top of the slide above the barrel, that's a great way to fill your recoil spring/guide rod full of debris or dirt and cause a failure when your life could be on the line. I'm not referring to the macro as it's mostly out at the end of the slide, I'm referring to top and side cut-outs specifically on carry guns 💯
Chris, the Allen County Sheriff's Department plain clothes Deputies in Indiana are also issued a P 365 as a duty sidearm since late 2018 early 2019. It is a perfect semi-auto replacement for a detectives special revolver for plain clothes officer concealment. Sig borrowed the idea of a serialized chassis system from Steyr and added their twists to it. My buddy has a Steyr M9 (patented 1999) with a removable fire group that he bought in 2002 which predates Sig's chassis system pistols the P250 (first release 2010), P320 (first release 2014), and P365 (first release 2017). Now it seems more and more companies are moving towards utilizing this technology. One of my favorite pistols that uses a chassis system is the Beretta APX series. I know the first gen APX had many people on the fence thanks to the futuristic movie prop like appearance, but it was a very ergonomically pleasing pistol to shoot and mitigated recoil far better than the Sig offering in my opinion. I love the sighting system of the Steyr M9 but it is much like the Glock in its grip angle which does not feel natural to me. That is not to say I cannot shoot it well because it is a tack driver but I much prefer the Beretta grip angle as it requires far less mechanical adaptation of my hold and point. I grew up shooting 1911s and steel framed hammer fired DA/SA pistols so my fundamentals and muscle memory are all steeped in the sweeping of manual thumb safeties and less of a wrist cant straight point and shoot mechanics. I have owned several fantastic pistols such as my Springfield GI 1911 45acp, Beretta 96 Centurion, CZ-75, CZ 40B, and a Rami 2075. I never warmed up to Glock's grip angle as it didn't feel natural so the Steyr falls into that same category but the trapezoidal sights are amazing.
I was just talking to an officer the other day in FW about his. He was working a "special event" and was allowed to carry the p365 for that as well because he was in the a police polo. The slide insignia is a nice touch!
@@fixitrod4969 Allen County deputies carried Sig P 226 40 cal. Back in the 90s FWPD have been Glock as far back as I can remember. In my opinion the Sig P 250 DA/SA chassis system pistol was better than the 320 striker-fired models that succeeded it. I have to hand it to Sig they make hammer-fired pistols that are truly amazing with very good triggers. I had a 229 for a while and outside of being rather hefty they are phenomenal firearms. The top 3 DA/SA brands and most cloned are the Beretta 92, CZ-75, and the Sig P220 series of firearms, and not necessarily in that ranking order.
Been carrying a p365x for 9 months now. I love the little gun. Purchased to replace glock 42 as a smaller carry but i shoot the p365 so much better that it is EDC for me now. I feel like the sig is more controllable than the glock even though its a 9mm. A buddy like mine so much he got the macro and ditched his glock 19. He also said no turning back.
I love the P365 line of pistols. I have owned the regular 9mm p365 and a p365xl and I loved both. They both had benefits over one another. Just depends what you want and need in a carry pistol. The 365 line has any and all options for defensive carry. These guns are by fat my favorite carry piece.

Great review. I carry a P365 as my EDC with a holosun 407k X2 red dot. I got the TACPAC with (3) 12rd mags. I got the magguts mod to convert those 12rd mags to 14rd mags. Now I can carry 14+1 versus 12+1. It's a great gun.
GREAT video! Very comprehensive analysis of the P365-I love mine and may purchase other frames to get those additional frames without buying another handgun.
I bought a 43x and a 365 XL. To me it was a no brainer and the XL was my carry gun and got rid of the 43x. And now recently just got my hands on the XMacro and now that is my current carry. You have a gun ready to go out of the box, optic ready with night sights, decent trigger. And for a subcompact a flat shooter. It’s hard to beat
i think Sig is one of the better companies on the market, everything they make is solid, cant go wrong & they are really reliable, i have shot over 1,000 rds & no issues whatsoever. Gotta love that
The P365 is my everyday carry, it is small and lightweight but has very good capacity. It feels good in my hands, I can shoot it well and feel confident carrying it. I usually pocket carry it inside a pocket holster but I also have a IWB holster.
I definitely love my 365xl. I had to buy the macro grip afterwards because the xl grip was too small for me. I tried shooting the 365x macro with the ported slide. Just couldnt like it and felt the ports were very unnecessary. Its just 9mm afterall.
I really like the P365. Have an original, a 365XL and did have an SAS. The SAS shot 8-10” to the left at 7-10 yards and the sights are not adjustable. Got another slide, slide release, and takedown lever and turned into a P365. I have seen plenty of post from others who couldn’t get the SAS on target as well.
Mine shoots left, but I just ignore the Mepro sight altoggher and point-shoot it, sighting along the top of the slide as I would a shogun. I bought a second P365 MS and made it an X with 12 rd. mag.
Still carrying my P365 from September 2019. I have over 3000 round through it and it rocks. Just cant replace it. I carry with a 12 round mag and a backup 10. Might get a macro and replaced my P320 X compact for my bedside gun that my wife can use. Not selling the 320, just might become a range toy.
I have small hands and I used a Glock19 for years with good results- very comfortable. The P365 is a whole new animal. It fits my hand like it was made for it! Points great, hits great, and feels like an extension of my body. Ammo capacity is excellent as well and I've never had a malfunction. It is a definite jewel!!!
i have the standard 365 and the macro, i love them both so much. Macro is my edc now and feel extremely confident with the size and capacity and red dot if shit ever hits the fan. It's also much more fun to shoot than the standard 365 imo so that's a nice bonus.
I own the original 365 and 365XL. I noticed that the 365 with 12-round magazines has the same sized grip as the XL. (Just missing the beaver-tail.) So, I replaced the XL grip module with a 365 module and now can run both with either 10-round or 12-round magazines. Interchangeable magazines is very nice.
Any issues running the XL slide on the smaller frame? Is there a gap where the frame & slide meet? Considering this set-up, everyone talks about putting a 365 slide on XL frame but not the other way around and it's the grip that makes a gun hard to conceal, not the slide. It seems like I should buy the XL then just a smaller frame module
An interesting configuration for a 365 X-Macro is to add an LX slide and threaded barrel. There a number of aftermarket comps available for threaded barrels so rather than run just a thread protector on one of mine, a Herrington Arms single port comp was purchased and easily added to the upper. This comps effect is somewhat mild compared to others but I wanted to keep the gun as 'ammo agnostic' as possible and avoid having to fiddle with various recoil springs in order to cycle different loads without issues. The comp adds about an inch to overall length and combined with the X-Macro lower's picatinny rail adds a unique appearance. The only downside to all the configuration options is the amount of testing needed to ensure functionality. Although I trust this gun with the threaded barrel the comp is still an unknown.
I love Sigs. Carried the M11 in the military and owned a few models here and there. Sig Sauer made guns that fit my hands. Was elated when I heard about the 365, went to buy one when it first came out, held it, and realized it didnt fit my hand. Just got a Rose .380 for my wife, apparently it fits her hand perfectly. My EDC? Smith & Wesson Sheild 9plus
One of the guys at the range was telling me about this yesterday because I was looking at an M&P and he said to check out the Sig. I had mentioned some models feel too short in my hand (I know it's personal preference) but he mentioned the different sizes. Funny that I came across this video today when I went to Google, it was the first one that came up. I'm taking a friend to the range this week so I may look into renting one to test it out.
I have the SAS and love it. However, I modified the hell out of it. Wilson Combat XL grip module with tungsten rods, tungsten guide rod, lima laser, flat trigger. Shoots so much better if the extra weight doesn't bother you. The ported barrel does not bother me either.
Thanks for all the information, I’ve been told that Glock also has a low bore access, really doesn’t matter to me cause I prefer sig well before glock, just by choice. Thanks again
About the name of the P365, it always reminded me of the discontinued Taurus PT 24/7. I wonder if Sig got inspiration from there in terms of naming the gun.
Check out the Houge rubber grip if the p365 diameter feels to small. The extra "nubb" between the middle and ring finger assists in drawing the gun for me. I also had my holster made with a 20 degree angle to get the grip up a bit more because it is so small. 15 is more common.
I love my P365 with red dot. It's so comfortable for EDC and still get 12 rounds with no printing. The only knock with the P365 is the trigger pull. After the wall there is a squishy inconsistent feel where you can't dial it in completely like other stock hand guns
I own both the P365XL and the P365SAS and I use various grips to change the pistols according to my carry needs. It’s a very versatile little pistol and I purchased mine in I’m thinking 2019 and there are numerous features that didn’t exist then like the 380 version and the X grip or even the Wilson grips. I’m having fun discovering different options. I’m also very accurate shooting the SAS and I like the ported barrel but I agree those sights even with practice aren’t perfect but I’ve become way better than I thought possible …on the range any 😅. I knew most if those things about the P365 because it was my very first handgun and I’ve spent a lotta time shooting and upgrading it the past few years. I’m pleased now after COVID you can actually get your hands on the kits and parts. I own other pistols but this one remains one of my favorites.
I heard that micro nines can be a bit snappy until I happened to shoot a P365. I was overly impressed on how well it shot. Additionally the optic battery that was on it happened to be dead, but I had zero issues shooting it accuracy using the iron sights. Not sure what elven magic was used by Sig, but it’s a fantastic firearm. I wasn’t aware of the X-Macro since I prefer a longer barrel length as it is better for me to carry concealed.
I picked up the NRA edition P365XL about 4 years ago and was blown away by it. It has accuracy and stability as good or better than many full size pistols. It has proven to be amazingly reliable. The addition of the X-Macro takes that to a new level.
The P365xl is amazing. I shoot it even better than I do with a P320 Compact or the discontinued P320 XCarry. For something so slim, the recoil is so controllable. If Sig could release a Large size grip module for it to fill out my hands better, it would be perfect.
@North jersey Kev is the macro's grip module out yet? I think I might just get that and put it on the P365xl slide. I would be happy with that instead of spending extra to get the comp slide and shorter barrel.
I checked a 365 spectre comp out and loved the feel. Then I read and saw a lot of people say it wasn’t reliable. As a retired LEO, that’s a no go for me, but if anyone has any comments, please chime in.
Love that I can get 17 rounds in my X-Macro without having to carry a spare mag if I choose not to. Don't have to worry about carrying a reload since I'm not carrying a small 7 or 8 round capacity CCW. I like that ability to just have it in the gun and make carrying a second mag an option instead of a necessity.
I love my P365 however the only downside is that the initial racking is tough for slight of statue ladies. My wife has trouble with the rack strength. I'm fine with it but other than this, it is a fantastic firearm. Incredibly reliable and accurate. I also like to combo aspects.
I have a Sig P365 and love it. I HAD a SAS 365 until the internal sight crapped out. If you get ANY cleaning fluid on it it will destroy the sight. I called Sig and the acknowledged this happens. I’m VERY careful when cleaning my guns and don’t just slop fluid on it. The sights are warranty’d for 5 years. I sent it in - got it back and promptly sold the gun. Also - I hated the sight and sight picture.
I love the P365. It's such an amazing pistol with so many features for a tiny EDC option. In the future I hope Sig releases an optics ready variant of the standard P365 and also update the X/XL models to have the newer optics system too (like the ones on the .380 version or all the newer P365). Maybe for a Gen 2 Sig can release a large grip frame as well like they do for the larger P320 series. The standard grip just feels too thin and doesn't fill out my hands as well. The Wilson Combat grip module fills out my hand so much better (and adding hogue grips on top of that makes it perfect).
@@Jaybird-oo3ih yes but then you would have to get a P365X. On top of that you will also need to get a smaller grip module and 10 round mags. This is for the older optics system where you have to remove your rear sights instead of the newer one on the .380 version and the newer P365 models that have been released.

That being the case your not really giving up a lot going to the 380 in such a small gun. The 365/380 fits nicely in my pocket in its holster and you can just go on about your business. It’s been a real learning lesson dealing with what comprises you have to make to find a carry gun that works for you.
The modularity is the thing for me. I bought the Wilson combat grip for my xl.
I love the Sig P365. I love the grips (like sandpaper), I love the night sites, and the reliability with ammo. I have a Shield Performance Center. The grip in the summer is slippery (not good). The Glock 19 was my go-to until I found this wonderful sidearm.
Thanks!
Love my p365 XL added the Wilson combat grip frame with tungsten weight kit and it shoots like a dream! I also have the p365 for super conceal ability. Just awesome pistols in my opinion.
I made the same changes recently. Game changing.
Haven’t seen the tungsten weight addition, is that sold through Wilson? Does it really help with muzzle flip?

SAS stands for "Sig Anti-Snag". Meaning no sharp points or corners to catch on clothing for pocket carry etc. I have the P938 SAS and it is an outstanding pocket gun. I imagine the P365 SAS is also. Thanks for these great videos Chris.
Have any issue with sight picture? I rented one and after 100 rounds, I decided to go with the P365 standard.

Can’t wait to pick up my xmacro this week!!! Second Sig but definitely impressed by their new lineup.

The XL is my EDC.. just an amazing firearm, smooth shooter
Very easy to carry, best grip for me has been the new Wilson Combat XL.
Great isn’t it?
I have one on my XL and love it!
Instantly made me a better shooter.
I put the Wilson Combat grip on my p320 and it was immediately like an old friend. Really considering it for my 365 as well
Almost zero muzzle flip with a Wilson Grip with Tungsten Weights in the magazine well on my 365 and 365XL .
best site on the web for good honest gun information. thanks!
You know there's a size in between full and subcompact right? Just compact. Been around for a long long time
@@njrmax72 I enjoy the firearm as well. Makes me shoot better than some full size guns. I tried the Kimber Mako, the CZ p10s, CZ p01, CZ p07, and IMO The 365xl blows them away. Don't forget your +2 mag guts for an extra 1/8" for a 14+1 capacity
That itty bitty mag well flare actually does help too. It surprised me.
How much better does the XL conceal compared to the regular P365? Have a HK P30SK but would like something smaller for certain clothing.
@@HarryDangler69 the xl grip is the same length as my glock 43
I love your channel! Best gun channel on UA-cam hands down. Keep it up!
I just bought the 365 Tacops that has 4 magazines with it. Outstanding gun.
Going to be buying myself a P365 Macro soon and cannot wait.
Is someone making the Steyr sights to have it on other handguns?
I was just talking to an officer the other day in FW about his. He was working a "special event" and was allowed to carry the p365 for that as well because he was in the a police polo. The slide insignia is a nice touch!
@@onpsxmember i wish because I wouldn't have a single pistol that didn't have a set on it.

Why was it a no brainer? Without having touched either to me the 43x seems better.
i think Sig is one of the better companies on the market, everything they make is solid, cant go wrong & they are really reliable, i have shot over 1,000 rds & no issues whatsoever. Gotta love that
Heads up on the 365 x macro. If running the tlr7a you need the 1913 rail mount. It will allow you to get your light more flush and further back

The 365 is one I haven’t gotten around to shoot yet. I really like the spectra comp though.
i have the standard 365 and the macro, i love them both so much.
I love the extended mag on the P365XL 💥💥💥
I have the Sig p250 on the X5 grip module, just purchased the P365 Rose for my wife. That thing is NICE! Getting the Romeo red dot for her next
I love my Nitron. I is a 365 day carry. In the pocket with a slip holster. Easy draw, and great handling.
I bought my P365 after watching this video. I love your videos
Enjoyed the video. I've only had my XL for about a month now and I love it.
I carried my p365 in a galco, appendix style on a recent 2500 mile road trip and it was all but unnoticeable.
About the name of the P365, it always reminded me of the discontinued Taurus PT 24/7. I wonder if Sig got inspiration from there in terms of naming the gun.
I like your T-shirt proud Irish American 👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸
Check out the Houge rubber grip if the p365 diameter feels to small. The extra "nubb" between the middle and ring finger assists in drawing the gun for me. I also had my holster made with a 20 degree angle to get the grip up a bit more because it is so small. 15 is more common.
I love my 365xl, also have the similar Glock 43x, but I'll choose the sig all day every day.
P365X has replaced my P320 compact, G26, Bodyguard 380, and J-frame .357 for every day carry. It just does everything so well.
I have the p365x it’s the same barrel length of p365 and same capacity of the xl… I absolutely love mine so far.
The macro slide is longer but not the barrel. I wish they used the XL barrel in it instead of the shorter barrel and comp cutouts myself.
@@JacksonWalter735 grayguns and Wilson Combat make some decent ones that feel the hand a little more.

Don't fool yourself. You should ALWAYS have at least one spare maximum cap magazine on your person. You can never have too much ammo.
Can agree about the slightly more kick than I’d expect. Thanks for the FYI about the 380 version. Be good for my wife

The Wilson Combat grip module fills out my hand so much better (and adding hogue grips on top of that makes it perfect).
they have released the standard p365 cut for optics (p365x)
@@Jaybird-oo3ih yes but then you would have to get a P365X. On top of that you will also need to get a smaller grip module and 10 round mags.
