It's not necessary or healthy to drink that much water every day! The 2-3 liter figure is supposed to include all your water intake from food too. You did right listening to your body!
So true! The studies backing this 2-3 litre claim include water from food sources! If I drank a gallon of water a day I would be so so uncomfortable, I already pee 1-2 times an hour 😅
I also was wondering this! Someone who is 100 pounds and 5 feet tall will not need to be drinking that much water. There are recommendations that you should drink half your weight in ounces. A gallon would be double the recommendation for small framed people.
@@iremersmusici actually did see someone on tiktok get hospitalized from following the 75 hard water requirements 😅 granted i think she maybe drank it too fast but still worth warning people about the possibility. I think most importantly, if you filter your water, are working out a lot (like in 75 hard), and drinking a lot of water, its a good idea to add electrolytes back into it and not drink your water too fast
Girl you should be so proud! I appreciate you sharing your experience, it really gave me some ideas to create my own adapted version. Also hell yes to not weighing ourselves to track progress, I haven't weighed myself in YEARS and I am so much happier for it. How our bodies feel is so important.
I think you killed this challenge! My partner is a nutrition coach and one thing he always says is it’s not about perfection it’s about consistency so don’t beat yourself up about not hitting the mark on the water and missing a few workouts. Like you said you didn’t give up because of that and that’s where the biggest growth comes from. It doesn’t have to be all or nothing. It’s about balance babay.
You’re literally the only person I’ve seen with a similar mindset as me going into the challenge. I’ve come from YEARS of fad diets, working out & getting discouraged/ quitting when I don’t see fast results, the works! From day 1 I decided that I’m going into this challenge to build better habits & to become physically & mentally stronger than I was when I started. I’m also not checking the scale either (made that mistake once in this challenge, NEVER AGAIN😭😂) and going based on how I feel after my workouts, the improvement on quality of sleep, etc. I’m only on day 9 but this challenge helped me see the gym as a place to relieve stress & not just a place to lose weight. I just love how your feedback constantly consisted of you doing what made you feel good while acknowledging the essence of the challenge. Thank you for sharing your results from this challenge it’s truly motivating me to keep going❤️❤️

Honestly listening to the guy that made 75 Hard talk about it just makes me roll my eyes. He's not a doctor, he's not a nutritionist. He's literally a dude who made up a challenge, made up some rules, and it gained traction. All of his "evidence" is anecdotal. If you listen to him talk about it, he contradicts himself a fair amount. (He says it's not a weight loss challenge and it's not his business what food you eat as long as you follow the diet you set for yourself, but then turns around and says it's not 75 Hard to follow the IIFYM mentality when it comes to dieting). I know you said you struggled with the water drinking. There are literally studies saying it's harmful to even force yourself to drink 64 ounces a day if you don't need it, let alone 3 liters. I'm in the same boat as you. I'm good at drinking water, but 3 liters feels excessive. As you can see, I have a lot of feelings about this lmao.
If you’re peeing that much while drinking water, you should add electrolytes to your water. Your body isn’t absorbing the water. Add salt to your water or an electrolyte mix! I’m not a doctor but I follow a lot of doctors who recommend this (:
So glad you uploaded this Lindsay! I’m doing 75 soft right now. I definitely agree about doing it when it’s warmer outside lol but here I am 🙃 This was a good motivator for me to keep going cause I feel like I’m hitting a slump at about 30 days in
Started this with you on discord & wished that went a little different lol so I fell off after about a month BUT you should be so proud of yourself for finishing & I I love watching all your videos 💘

I love how you tracked it not through weight but through how you feel!!! Amazing

while it’s not maybe necessary it’s perfectly healthy to drink a gallon a day. Ur not gonna get water poisoning from 1 gallon of water

I'm intrigued! How would you track water from food sources?
