Loved this! I agree with the other commenter, a what I spend in a week video would be great. Some other finance related video ideas are 2024 finance goals, budget friendly meal ideas, savings tips, and budget updates.
Girlllll don't feel bad about spending money on food! Also I''ll share my Canadian grocery experience with you ... might make you feel better. I spend $600-700 on groceries as a single person. It's absolutely insane up here! Thanks so much for sharing this I love budgeting videos!
Girl, if you’re spending less than $500 on groceries a month you are killing it! I try to be conservative and I still can’t keep it under $300 a week 😭 I love this video. This really inspired me to pay better attention to what I’m spending and what I’m saving
This video came at the perfect time. I need to up my girl boss game and not feel like I’m living paycheck to paycheck completely. Thank you for sharing this important topic! ❤️
In Canada, my partner and I spend like 600$ combined per month on groceries. Prices are crazy out here! Good on your for budgeting $300, that’s super cheap! At least from my perspective.
financial literacy is SOOOOO important especially for us women. learning about personal finance, budgeting, emergency + sinking funds high-yield savings, IRAs etc was the best thing I could have done for myself. feeling in control of your money and having peace of mind that you're prepared if anything comes up (health, job loss etc) is priceless 💸
would love to see a budgeting series this year! one of my intentions for 2024 is to be more financially literate. a couple more tips from a 25 year old also learning about managing her money: 🔆 I have a weekly “budget meeting” with myself to stay accountable with regularly updating my purchases & adjusting my non-fixed expenses for the rest of the month (I can also stay on top of any funny business with delayed payments, pending purchases, etc.) 🔆 I have a rule with online shopping where I’m not allowed to buy anything at first sight… if I can put stuff in my cart and then wait 24 hours, I usually end up spending waaayyyyy less and am overall more intentional about what I’m buying 🔆 I’ve been paying off my credit card balance 2x per month instead of 1x, and not only has it done wonders for my credit score, but it also makes me more aware of how much money I actually have available (and then those payments don’t sting so much lol)!
I love these videos! Definitely more like this would be cool mixed in with your vlogs. I love the real life advice stuff, especially since it isn't your "specialty" or the main point of your content. it feels more authentic and relatable. Love it Lindsey!!!!
Uhh yess thank you girl!! This was so helpful!🙌 Ive been stuggling with income and savings i make tips so its hard for me constantly having cash so i love this thank you!
Ugh I needed this video! I recently just got demoted basically and had to take a major pay cut. I’m having to rethink my spending and savings and budgeting. I write everything in my notes app but a Budget app I might have to look into!
omg you were one of the first youtubers I watched when I was younger and needed help with makeup.. here you are years later helping me budget as an adult!!! :')
THANK YOU!! you are the one who taught me about IRA savings account a few years ago ❤ love these videos. i am turning 23 in march, possibly starting college and owning my own house that is under renovations right now and have been stressing!! thank you!! btw i inherited this house when my father past so i didn’t buy it but it’s mine now and it’s bittersweet ❤
Love this Lindsey! Thx for sharing the templates! I’m so old school I’ve just always written stuff down. I’ll prob still write first then transfer to the template just cause there’s something about writing it I have to do lol 😂
Groceries are soooo expensive rn, I'm in the same boat - food and cooking is something I love to do but keeping my weekly grocery bill below $100 has been so hard
I think $300 a month on groceries is amazing. I make a lot less money than you and I spend about $500 a month, and that’s when I’m trying to budget. It was more than that before. I eat pretty much all my meals at home though. I hardly ever go out to eat. And that includes ingredients for homemade dog food.
Loved this video!! Question; after every month is over, do you just continue using the same chart and redo all of your numbers? Or is there a way to make a copy and have month #2 down a few lines on the same page? Sorry hopefully that makes sense 😅 thanks so much for all the helpful info 🤠
I believe you could move month #2 down a few lines in the template! It should be fully customizable/changeable. I would probably just keep my template the same & copy it from month to month and adjust my new amounts paid. Some amounts would be the same month to month :) whatever is easiest for you!
Needed this so much Lindsey!!! You have no idea how much a template helps when finances just naturally feel overwhelming! Thankful to have been following you since the pink room days and to be crushing the girl boss ERA together 💖🫶🏻

I have never budgeted 😅 but really I should especially for groceries I feel like I spend so much and have no idea how much I actually spend!
I am also struggling to keep my grocery spendings down! Everything has gotten so expensive. 😢
What banking app do you use?
Where is your sweater from?
It’s thrifted but the brand is Alfred Dunner!
I can't open the link of the spreadsheet huhu
Good job budgeting
Your grocery budget seems so low actually for 2 people! Mine is almost double for 2 people. So you're doing great.
Hi, i dont see in your budget what amount to carry in your wallet on a monthly basis as far as cash goes?
God dammit......the universe is telling me to adult.....at least it's Lindsey😂❤
$400 for 2 people on groceries is already a huuuuuge challenge! I can’t imagine $300 😩
I spend $350 MINUMUM every 2 weeks on groceries. It’s ridiculous
Groceries take up most of my budget ://
