Piss off with that inferiority complex nonsense, the Baltic Way and the Singing Revolution are commonly brought up as shining examples on how to do civil protests. Meie rahvuslik enesehaletsemine on üsna masendav.
As a Latvian this protest is close to my heart and nothing will change that cause Latvians Lithuanians and Estonians have gone through a horrible history with not having freedom and this protest is the one that changed it all.
Was there as a child with my parents. Did not understand much, but look at this. Human chain meant everyone held hands for about 700km . Probably one of the largest organized peaceful civil protests in history.
And when capitalism came the country got deindustrialized bone dry and half the population moved to work in western EU countries. I don't call that success
As an Estonian, i am very proud of the baltics and Estonia. My mom and dad participated in this, i am very proud on them and everyone who participated in this 🇪🇪❤️
The Baltics have gained a lot of reputation for their support for Ukraine. Would be good if people cared to read a bit about the history(even just Wiki articles) of the Baltics to understand why the support for Ukraine to regain its occupied territory is so strong, why the Baltics are so strongly against ruSSia - because history in a way is repeating itself.
The Baltic States are incredible. From complete subjugation to some of the most advanced, free, and progressive states in Europe in 30 years. Huge respect for them.
You are so high. Or ignorant. Lithuania lost 1mil young people to emigration. Corruption is similar to ukraines. National debt is increasing as fast as they can lend it and our corrupt politicians spend it. Depression and suicide is top 3 in world every year. I could go on.
I'm so happy someone noticed our small Nations and our history, it's really emotional for me because my parents were In that chain. Amazing video keep it up

And also it's Estonia&Latvia&Lithuania - if you say it other way around you're weird:) Nevertheless I thank you all for fighting for our independence🎉
Estonians had to actually fight for their independence, together with the Latvians 🤔 I wonder where your idea of Lithuanians having it harsher came from.
Careful, the current US administration is very anti what they call anti-semitic behaviour and communism is all jewish, from its inception, blood drenched murderous invasions and virtually the entirety of its leadership that ordered the deaths of tens of millions of indigenous Europeans, from the very start to now. Yeah, communism is a jewish thing and they’ve never tasted justice for their mass murdering crimes, so I agree with ya mate, prison for ‘em all.
