My 2017 Elantra has been excellent. Very nice, comfortable, decent power. completely reliable. No regrets. This refresh will sell very well. I like mine, and this one too
It's such a good looking car! They did a great job sculpting the front end, making it sharper and man those headlamps are wicked! The rear looks good too, wish the reverse wasn't so low down though. The only time that's a positive of it turns on when you're approaching the vehicle to light the road.
This design will grow on all of us after some time then your 2018 model will start looking old and boring, 2018 model actually looks boring, 2014-16 was the best looking!
2019 looks like a bad try at looking like an Audi. The headlights and tail lights are strange for me on this 2019. Looks out of place, not to mention the backup camera which is an eye sore on the 2019.
I ended up buying a 2018 over a 2019. Glad I did. Beside saving a lot more because of the larger factory rebate, I also prefer the exterior of the 2018, now that I've seen a few 2019s on the road. To me, the rear on the 2019 is very unflattering. The only interior update I like is the climate controls. That looks like a functional improvement. The rest of the interior changes are too gimmicky for my taste.
Six speed transmission? When i first heard specs about this car; it was a korean version with a CVT transmission. Good thing hyundai is going with six speed
Their new CVT transmission is 6 speed automatic and by seeing the same drive modes as the Kia Forte, this car definitely has CVT. It has the Smart, Normal and Sport drive modes. Look up the Kia Forte 2019 and see how it is the same as this one. Of course, as mentioned by the Kia Forte, Hyundai has made the CVT transmission shift gears like an automatic transmission feeling but depending on the drive mode you pick, you'll see the car accelerate like a CVT or a normal automatic transmission.
I don't mind CVT's. I'm fine driving my 2017 Toyota Corolla. I'm deciding between the 2019 Kia Forte or 2019 Hyundai Elantra. They are stepping up their game.
I own a 2016 Sonata which to me IS STILL THE BEST-LOOKING CAR IN ITS CLASS!,....But I also really like the Elantra's style/design and I have to say this 2019 car looks great both inside and out, so I'm not sure what your talking about!!!!!
Hyundai’s are pretty nice cars, I love the small details that some other brands don’t have, like heated back seats for the passengers. If I were to buy a Hyundai I wouldn’t buy a lower class, I would go with the highest trim, you would not regret it, can’t wait till I get my limited edition.
I have a 2015 Limited. Was looking to upgrade to a 2018 sport yesterday, WHAT!!!! They weren’t available. I’m not a big fan of this new front end design, reminds me of a Passat, AUGH!!! Looks like I’m keeping my 2015 for a while, until I find a nice deprecated G70 in a few years!!
I have this exact car and there are no parking sensors . Those sensors back there are for the blind spot Monitoring. But great review and it’s a great day to day nice looking car.
Right, and it doesn't have fog lights. Those are turn signals at the top and pretend on the bottom. Really, they could have designed a fog lamp to go there. It's small area, but could be done. Too bad.
Very good car, new hyundai elantra we bought it in april this year, economic car, it takes 4,7 l at 100 km. It's the second hyundai after in 2013 we bought new i20, very good car also too. We recommand it to everyone. We love it.
@@brandoncadena3025 I had a 2015 Sonata SE. I have since gotten rid of the car, it’s so hard after 40,000 or 50,000 miles and americas “best” warranty didn’t stand behind it. I would never purchase aHyundai again and I don’t recommend them.
How does his model have the wireless charging and the heated steering wheel? I’ve looked around for a while for those two features but haven’t come up with anything at all
Hate to be negative, but I like your review not too lengthy and informative. I wanted to count how many times you said "nice"! Give us more words! Hope to watch more soon!
Is it normal for the throttle pedal to be pressed halfway down in order for it to accelerate? I just bought mines a month ago and it's not equipped with cvt mines I believe is a regular 6 speed automatic and it will have a delay before accelerating I'm not sure if that's normal for it to do that. I also noticed I few times not alot but when I let go of my brakes at a complete stop I notice the front body of my car will jump up just a bit as i let go of the brakes it seems to be the engine doing that I think it's drives really nice and shifts pretty well but wanted your opinion on that
I just bought one months ago and I was confused whether the 2019 has fog lights but nothing mentions it. I was told they were just signal lights. But are they also fog lights too especially if I switch to auto lighting since the car adjusts to the weather outside?
I cross shopped the 2018 and 2019 Elantra. Ended up going with the 2018 simply because Hyundai offered a much bigger discount at year end. I think my 2018 is a gorgeous car, but I do like the new 2019 front. I think the triangular headlights are so distinctive! I really really dislike the new rear. It's so flat and plain compared to the 2018. The interior updates I can take or leave, honestly. They don't do that much for me. I'm glad to hear they reconfigured the drive modes. The setup in the 2018 is pretty awful. Eco makes the car shift up far too soon and too reluctant to downshift to get up hills and pass. Sport makes the throttle stupidly aggressive, making the car hard to drive. Normal mode is the best balance of the two and I leave it there.
In Ontario, it starts at $17 000, and heads up to $27 400 for the top of the line with adaptive cruise, pedestrian detection, Nav, and android auto. Are you sure you have your pricing right?
Add destination, tax and 0.99% financing for most people and I come up with $36'200 for that $27'400 base price. Plus when your at the dealership they will add small things like tire rim warranty for $399, etc.. winter rims and tires, etc... that most people will want. Your closer to $38'000. Him saying 35k is pretty fair.
@@tacocruiser4238 Nice! The deals are there especially on clearance with 0% financing. I got a brand new 2018 Elantra GL on clearance. In total it was about $5000 in savings given the 0% interest rates and other rebates the 2019 did not have as an option.
@@practicalguy973 the Elantra Limited is a great car with all the features you could ever want at this price. I'm extremely happy with it. However, I would never pay the full price ($27,000??) for this car. At it's core, it's an economy, compact car. If I wanted to spend $27,000 on a car, I would go for a midsized car like the Sonata or Camry. They have more room, more comfortable seats, quieter rides, and better driving dynamics.
@@tacocruiser4238 I hear you, for the price you paid it makes a lot of sense. My idea is always as cheap as I can go but with decent features and quite ride so I opted for the GL. I'd love a Camry or Lexus but can't justify the cost to use ratio for me. Just that 0% financing alone on the GL was $3398 which is pretty much worth $60 a month in savings right there over my 60 month term. In 2016 my friend bought a Hyundai Accent with a $5700 clearance rebate as they need to sell off a bunch in Canada to make way for the refreshed 2017. He also drives the base models and manual transmission to save on a lot of maintenance costs and initial buying cost. So it was like $8900 he paid for that car. Kind of nice for him to have a monthly car payment of $125 for something brand new.
