BTW everyone the sub is absolutely worth it! Super cheap and gets you like 2 extra vids a week usually, at least one, and usually one film room every week or at LEAST every other week. And supporting the best damn analyst in Steelers media
I was on PQ earlier this yr for not being physical… Last two games he is playing at a very high lvl … Totally been waiting for this :) Here we go Steelers 🚀🚀🚀
This is what our offense will be without the threat of run. I have said all along take away the 50/50 ball can we be successful, offensively? Yesterday showed you. Russ was just holding the ball way too long. All of the same things Justin got harped on for. All of the sticks I am seeing are quite concerning. I felt like he put himself in trouble multiple times. Lastly, why is Muth not getting more of a focus!?
@@Slayer118fourA+ for you. It’s obviously that the offense is limited. Russ is exactly what/who he is. Don’t expect much more, possibly only getting worse. Being 8-2 is a saving grace.
Loved seeing Skowronek out there, no reason imo for Heyward to be out there over him moving forward. Darnell Washington looked good blocking too I thought. Appreciate the breakdown as always!
He looked great blocking imo he should replace van on all blocking downs Since van is letting balls fly through his hands in the endzone and even when he was targeted he made a play dude blocks his ass off no worries about effort
I'd like to point out that the only missed fg Boz has this year was a 60+ yarder in pitt. Almost don't even wanna count that as a miss. Idk if anyone makes that
I have been contemplating the offensive performance since yesterday. I consider all those three & outs in the first half nearly as egregious as FG from the red zone. It seems to me that the underperformance comes back to Russel W limitations When the outside routes are covered he hesitates too much with those inside routes,. He cant step up in the pocket and see enough to deliver a pinpoint strike. Then the extra time makes it hard for the OL to keep their blocks without holding.
I agree with you about the offensive game plan. I don’t understand how we could be that ineffective in the passing game when every other team has been able to throw all over them.
Same could be said about them. All the stats and records go out the window when these 2 match up. U can't view it from a statistical standpoint. It's gonna be ugly and gritty.
what’s great is this team has a lot to build on and improve on and they will so only gonna get better we’re gonna win super bowl this year and i didn’t just jump on train i predicted it before season started
Good stuff as always, DB. I think your evaluation of Russ is fair in this game but I also thought the play calls, particularly in the red zone didn’t create any space for receivers to make a play. I was at the game, and they just looked so bunched up and scheme didn’t create any separation for them. Mike Williams didn’t seem to play any red zone and hardly any plays at all. I do think this was a dog fight though, and Russ made a number of deep throws that got them into scoring position.
Great Win! But its infuriating how bad we are in the red zone! Gave me PTSD of the past cpl of seasons lol…Where was Mike Williams in the Redzone?! Washington?!
The O-Line was hot and cold. What makes it tough for Russell Wilson is that he either lost a step, or his injury has slowed him down. Whatever has occurred to make Broderick Jones mediocre is hurting the team.
what’s up DB nice win don’t think our offense was as bad cause ravens secondary played fantastic in coverage didn’t let our receivers get separation! as Tomlin says stats were bad as far as yards against Ravens but that’s cause Lamar had huge leads so teams had to pass 50-60 times so of course yards gonna be high! was typical steelers ravens game! in North records don’t matter when we all play each other games are Always tough and competitive most in nfl so we’re not taking brown or bengals lightly we know it makes their season to beat us so we will not let that happen win vs ohio teams beat eagles then chiefs have #1 seed and steelers can do it
Appreciate the content DB. Defense: Played lights out. Ravens fans tried to say PQ was trash. Havent seen it, glad he’s here. Offense: Trash gameplan from Art. On that int by Russ that look like a Canada drawn up spacing for the receivers idk. Russ played badly man. On some of those redzone drives i wanted Fields in. Its like once they take the moonball away and the run game was stagnant, no one except GP could do anything. Personally i think Cal and Muth need to be used better (more middle of the field) and Van needs to be replaced with Mike immediately. Shout out to the Wizard of Boz
Boswell being a year younger than Tucker and seeing what happened to Tucker from this year compared to last year scares me I don’t know how the fuck we will ever replace Chris I also remember going to Heinz field as a kid and I met him on the back of a golf cart going to the parking lot I said hey Mr Boswell and he stopped shook my hand and gave me a autograph genuinely a great dude
Not trying to be a stickler but Derrick Henry definitely got the first touchdown for the Ravens. You mentioned something about your raffle winner predicting. We would keep him out of the end zone but that wasn't the case. Not trying to say he shouldn't get the gift but I just want you to understand that Derrick Henry definitely scored on us. But we held him to 65 yards so that's great
Game balls to defense, Boz, and Pickens. Where’s Williams? The offense desperately needs him out there. Pickens can’t do it all. There were so many plays that changed or could have changed the outcome of the game. Defense had to limit Jackson and Henry…and they did, with 3 TOs. With last week’s game and this week, a great start to the 2nd half.
Russ had what people said was his worse game of the season last week and he played worse this week and he has not played many games. It I just hard to only have a moon ball to rely on. Teams will take that away cannot live on it even though fans love it.
I’m glad they won but I thought the play calling was abysmal yesterday and you’re right, Wilson didn’t play well . Do you think that’s independent from the bad play calling receivers not getting separation or just bad QB play?
DB, question, are we bad under Russ in the redzone due to scheme, QB play, playmaker talent, or all of the above? I remember a big selling point of Russ coming here was he was very efficient in the redzone last year on the broncos.
Am I wrong to be very concerned with how we defend the read option? Anthony Richardson gashed us with one before he got hurt and Lamar got a couple big runs off of it as well. Both times it looked like we had no one even considering that the QB might pull the ball. It seems like something pretty simple but its given us problems.
That was really the only thing they struggled with. QB run game is so difficult to defend. It’s worth noting as a potential concern for next matchup for sure.
I find it interesting that Russ has had a TO in almost each game he’s played. But the exchange is better pass play vs. Fields legs. The issue I have is him getting this Hero ball itch sometimes. That INT in the end zone just screamed “I want to be the guy that wins for us” versus let’s make the right play. We all got on fields for it so I’m curious to see how this continues to play out. Also…I lowkey think Russ thought this rivalry stuff was sweet 😂. This is blood rivals my guy. You gotta come way better than this in AFC North
Ravens defense has looked bad on paper but because they tend to either get a big lead or they get into a track meet. Teams often get one-dimensional and pass happy, so I think that’s at least part of the reason they are where they are on paper. Now in regards to winning despite a bad offensive performance, I think we need to remember Jared Goff threw 5 picks a week ago, and then led a touchdown drive on every drive he was in for a week later. These ravens games are always ugly. Let’s see what it looks like Thursday.
That explanation would make more sense if they were just bad from a counting stats perspective. But they were 28th in EPA/play and allowing explosive plays at a dangerously high clip. So it’s a little bit different but credit to them for making some adjustments.
People saw Russ taking sacks and assume the o line was bad bc they wanna excuse Russ due to his good play the first three games he had, but he played awful yesterday, got himself sacked, literally looked like we had Mac Jones out there
He didn’t play well last week either… could that be considered “regression”? He truly hasn’t a had a complete game, yet. Moon ball or nothing…. that’s the offense until further notice.
what’s up DB nice win don’t think our offense was as bad cause ravens secondary played fantastic in coverage didn’t let our receivers get separation! as Tomlin says stats were bad as far as yards against Ravens but that’s cause Lamar had huge leads so teams had to pass 50-60 times so of course yards gonna be high! was typical steelers ravens game! in North records don’t matter when we all play each other games are Always tough and competitive most in nfl so we’re not taking brown or bengals lightly we know it makes their season to beat us so we will not let that happen win vs ohio teams beat eagles then chiefs have #1 seed and steelers can do it

Thats real.
Man what a game, love our linebackers to death. PQ and Payton are such a fun duo, so happy both of them were able to make a big game-changing play
My guy PQ was ballin again
I was on PQ earlier this yr for not being physical… Last two games he is playing at a very high lvl … Totally been waiting for this :) Here we go Steelers 🚀🚀🚀
This is the best breakdown of Steelers games hands down
That’s real right there!
Big W. Great game for the defense, excited to get into the film.
Offense… I’m not mad but I’m disappointed.

@ he was open multiple times yesterday. I’ll show it in the film room.
@@Steelers_DB I can’t wait. I’m about to rewatch the gm now, but looking forward to your film breakdown.
As good a summary as any of the main line talking heads
@@Slayer118fourA+ for you. It’s obviously that the offense is limited. Russ is exactly what/who he is. Don’t expect much more, possibly only getting worse. Being 8-2 is a saving grace.
I agree with you about the game plan...Run the ball on 1st down most of the time...Not a good plan
solid work DB... thanks
PQUEEN!!!!!
PWILSON!!!!!
Listen man i love the way the defense responded.
Great analysis.. really loving the way pgh is putting small pieces of tape out there for future teams to have to plan for
Loved seeing Skowronek out there, no reason imo for Heyward to be out there over him moving forward. Darnell Washington looked good blocking too I thought. Appreciate the breakdown as always!
He should play over 83 for sure

Db that Payton Wilson int reminded me of Devin bush’s rookie year he had one that looked the same somewhat. Great play.

@@selaxlife7621Difference is that the Ravens aren’t a top three defensive.
Do more research on the starting qb and you will have your answer.

Does anyone else remember that crazy Devin bush interception vs the chargers I think. The Payton Wilson interception reminds me of that lol
Very similar play.
Washington flashed in the passing game too! Hopefully that becomes a bigger part of the offense!
Great Win! But its infuriating how bad we are in the red zone! Gave me PTSD of the past cpl of seasons lol…Where was Mike Williams in the Redzone?! Washington?!

Never thought I say this… but but inside the 7 yard line and goal… I kinda want fields in there

Agree with you on Russ. Not a good game for the O.Cordinator. Not sure how much the subpar recievers had to do with it all.

Washington got to jump, that's not on Russ, Pickens would have jumped
Boswell had 1 bad yr too noone knows why happy we stuck with him
I agree Russ did not play well. Also Mike Williams would’ve caught both of those balls Calvin Austin and Jefferson dropped.

Russ had rough day but Oline was big part reason he got ansty, but they did get to RZ but WRs are bad n scramble drill and why not play Mike W🤷🏻♂️
