This is so cool. Becoming a parent really put my immune system to the test! My husband and I got sick a lot the first couple of years and now when we get "sick" we don't full on get sick anymore. We get maybe a slight scratchy throat for a day or two or a bad headache for 2-3 days. Compared to how we used to get a full on cold or flu for 2 weeks before. Our immune system kicks butt now! Thanks white blood cells. You rock.

Of course, it depends on the weapon and the round you were shot with (or you choose to shoot yourself).

I'd be interested to see white blood cells with a tiny drop of tatoo ink. Since white bloods cells can't destroy ink, they'll instead "neutralize" the threat by encircling and isolating it, which is what actually what keeps it in place under your skin.

I actually used to be quite suicidal but one of the things that kept me here is how my arms would heal over and over from the cuts and I knew that my body wanted to keep living. My every molecule wanted me to live.
