@@weaversbentrods I think I own 6 of them now. lol. I got extras so my kids can use them when they aren't holding their rods inside the permanent icehouse.
@@weaversbentrods so do you use a quick strike setup with 2 trebles? In BC you can only use a single hook, how would you rig the bait in that situation. I was thinking either thru the back or in head somewhere.
How are you hooking those dead baits with a single hook? That’s all we can use in my state not the quick strike everyone else you see doing that uses. Thanks
I usually just put the single hook through near the head of big baits make sure the hooks pointed towards the tail. For smaller baits usually near the dorsal fin works too!
In Alberta I believe that Cisco is considered a game fish just like tulliby or whitefish . You may use the skin or eyes for bait but not the flesh.Suckers may be used if bait fish are allowed . Smelts may be used if bait fish are not allowed. The rules are complex and annoying 😅
You definetely haven'ty tried our deadly tubes and jigs yet. They are super popular in BC and lot's of PB's were caught on them. Give us a shout and we will hook you up with the demo package ;)
Nice video. Have had great success with mackerel on a dead stick for lake trout.
maybe i’ll have to give that a whirl one day for a change up. Thanks for the tip!
If you like the Ifish Pro look into the Finicky Fooler. Works better imho and I also use it inside permanent icehouses instead of a rattle reel.
I might have to ask Santa for one for Christmas!

@@johndoe-st8rl i’ll proabbly give one a whirl this season and see how it goes
Great videos! How do you rig your leader set up? Do you use a wire leader on your dead stick setup?
nope never use wire for lake trout always fluorocarbon!

Thank you for the sharing. May i know what is the weight of the jigs you are using?
