    I'm in Florida, and my husband showed me this, saying we have to make it. We had everything but corn flour and rice wine vinegar. I went to the store and found corn meal & starch, but not corn flour. I decided to go for a gluten-free flour blend that had rice & tapioca flour. Everything came out great but i made an error that made the chicken too salty... for some reason, added salt to the initial soy sauce + egg coating... this resulted in it being very salty but still good. Will repeat without the mistake! It was super easy & straightforward. Thanks!!❤

      what you chose was a good alternative as tapioca flour is often used as an alternative for cornstarch-- tapioca and rice flour are just higher in carbs so it is slightly counteractive for the meal prep aspect, but definitely gave you a similar texture! Well done following your instincts!

    Took me about 30 mins but I have the American translation! I did it for myself for my personal cookbook but figured I'd share for convenience of any others:
    -1½ lb chicken breast: dice into cubes and coat with;
    -1 tbsp + 1 tsp soy sauce
    -1 egg
    -Mix well by hand
    In a large lidded container add:
    -⅓ cup corn starch; on top add the chicken by hand or strainer; close lid and shake
    -Once fully coated place individually on rack, spray with palm oil
    -Oven bake at 430F for 15-18 mins OR airfry at 400F for 10-12 mins until golden brown
    In a large skillet bring to boil:
    -¼ cup soy sauce
    -⅓ cup water
    -2 tbsp ketchup
    -3 tbsp gochujang chili paste
    -2 tbsp rice vinegar
    -2 tbsp honey
    -2 tbsp (give a little) brown sugar
    Once thickened add chicken and stir until well coated
    Chives and sesame seeds to garnish
    Then cook to instruction:
    -1 cup (take a little) sticky rice; allow to cool 10 mins then add;
    -3 tbsp rice vinegar
    -1 tbsp sweetener of choice
    -Salt to taste; mix again
    Happy eatin all!

    what are you spraying the popcorn chicken with?

  • @chuefuethao4021
    @chuefuethao4021 4 місяці тому +13

    If you want lower carb, instead of cutting chicken into cubes, you can cook it by strips. Same mixture/ seasoning, add 5 minutes to cooking time, same glaze. Instead of rice you’ll use low calorie tortillas as a wrap. For extra proteins, you can add scrambled eggs, for color you can add lettuce.

    Tip if you’re already using honey you don’t need to use another sugar substitute like stevia. Just use a bit more honey.

      Yes the sugar is stevia, which is an alternative to sugar made from refined extracts which is an alike of sugar but it’s not sugar.

    These meals look fantastic, and I’d love to incorporate them into my diet! I’m curious, though-would you recommend adding vegetables as a side to these dishes? I’ve been learning about the importance of maintaining a good potassium intake throughout the day, and I feel like I might need more of it. Lately, I’ve been experiencing a lot of soreness, fatigue, and discomfort after my gym sessions, so I’m wondering if adding more potassium-rich veggies might help with recovery and overall energy.
