Levi is like the definition of a "Short King" 🤣I had no problem with Mappa taking over. The style is different from Wit's, but the animation is beyond solid and fit the time jump and was also closer to the manga's art style.

I ended up loving MAPPA's style just as much as Wit's, and I ended up loving these new characters as much as the OGs. Excited to see how y'all feel about the new characters as the season goes on.

U kinda got the timeline wrong. In the year 845 is when the first titan breach occurred and that is the year when eren's mom died. 5 years later they took back wall Maria. All 3 of the previous seasons you watched happened in 1 year 'I think'. So that means everything (in that 1 year) that happened, happened in the year 850. And from the year 850 to ht e year 854 That is = to 4 years. And 4 years after 850 is how long this very war lasted between marley and the middle East.
It looks more like the manga now, not quite all the way, but at least as gritty. Animation-wise, because of the crazy schedule for the animators they have to compensate in some ways if you pay attention. However, they nail almost all the iconic scenes, just one or two disappointments here and there if you've read the manga first. MAPPA is now even more faithful to the source maybe to a detriment 'cause a couple of things will have to be rushed just a bit instead of letting it breathe, while WIT animation did some changes that were good, some bad. What elevates the show now is the directing, the action, the acting, the story, the plot, and the superb soundtrack continues to be amazing.

She’s right, this is the most important show ever. The funny thing about it is it’s not over yet. There arw still big questions left unanswered. For example this episode: Falco recalling memories at the start of the episode? From who? Never underestimate scenes in AOT that deals with memories. I believe it was that bird that sent falco those memories. Notice Falco looking looking up at the bird. In the manga we get that same scene in the memory shard panel. But why oh why would a memory shard have Falco looking up at them. Who’s POV are we getting? The bird circling above falco at the start of the episode. Something is up with birds that is important and hasn’t been revealed. It’s possible birds are being used to send memories. Who is using these birds? Odin. Who is Odin in this story? You tell me but the answer should be quite evident

My only advice is to keep a box of tissues nearby because S4 will definitely make you cry at some point.
