    I was watching this video there, admiring your Zontes machine and all the very attractive extras reasonably priced included with the bike.
    There I am relaxing and I realise that what the video REALLY REALLY needs is more wind noise!!!!
    Eureka!!!
    A fantastic idea, don't you agree?
    There's not enough rustling on the microphone due to the wind out there in that exposed location where you chose to capture the magnificence of the modern classic 125cc that is the Zontes ZT-U.
    Keep up the good work.
    Surely Hollywood beckons after this beguiling feature filled action packed winsome spectacularistic blow-fest?
    Perhaps?
    Possibly?
    Just maybe?
    Maybe not

    Seriously considering getting one of these to ride to get my confidence up before taking my test . They look extremely good quality.

      Good to hear, they are in my opinion the best "Chinese" bikes available today along with her sister the U1 and G1 although I may be biased. I have now covered over 1500 miles on her and will be doing another review once lockdown is eased.
      I can tell you though this is a very very good bike to learn on its so well balanced with a very nice light clutch and good brakes. The seating position is also good being upright for learning as is the gear indicator. The lights are amazingly good for any bike not just for a 125.

      They really are, the 320x looks like another top bike. Hopefully they are bringing the Z2 125 to the UK it's the same platform as the U, U1 and G1 looks really good.

    I want to buy one of these, I like all the specs. I only doubt if is reliable and will work good after 2 years.

      It's the same with any bike if you look after it make sure it's serviced and keep up with maintainence and clean it it will be fine. You could buy a CB125R and in 2 years it could be junk if not looked after. The bike is solid and very well made look after it and it will last just as long as a Honda.

    Got 2 wait 2more weeks for my u1 cant wait, such a great looking bike and fits me so well. I am retiring my old honda vara. Been a great bike just 2 heavy for me nowadays. I found the zontes so much easyer to shunt around. Hopfully happy days ahead!!

    • @Mean-bj8wp

      That's a hard choice to make the Varadeo is one of the best 125's ever made. You'll love the U1 but I think you'll miss that V-twin on steep hills for awhile.

      @@Mean-bj8wp i agree with you. But i am having trouble shunting my vara in n out my gate nowadays! I have tropped 5times so far this year. I realy am struggling with the waight of it. I do find it bloody top heavy! And it has dun silly amounts of miles now. And also with the e10 petrol cuming in i dont fancy cleaning them twin carbs out 2 or 3 times a year? But i do agree they are the best 125cc bike ever made. Was hoping the power wont be to much diferance?

    Hi. Is it possible to install the u1 sliders or another one?

    • @Mean-bj8wp
      @Mean-bj8wp  3 роки тому +1

      I believe so in theory. To fit the U1 sliders you would need to put holes through the plastics or buy the U1 plastics. To fit universal ones it would require drilling into the frame for the ones I found. Although the wheel ones can be fitted.

    Decent video TBF. What's the ECU issue? Unfortunately the wind cut in whilst you were talking about it.
    I've seen a chaps review on a forum who loves the bike but it's been in 3 times because of the engine light, but the issues not been cured by the dealer yet.
    I'm an older learner and a fair old hefty unit and I want the G1 I'm just slightly concerned being an earlier adopter because unfortunately they experience all the niggles.
    It is a hell of a lot of bike for the money though, have you had any other issues?

    • @Mean-bj8wp

      Hi, the problem is the cold weather. The error code is P0111 which means "Air Intake temperature error" which basically means the sensor says its too cold. I have a letter ftom Zontes giving confirmation. It means the ecu mapping hasn't taken into account the prolonged cold weather in Europe and a remapping of the ecu once they have developed the map will fix the problem. After the last few days of warmer weather the light has gone out which seems to confirm what I've been told.
      I did have a problem with indicator switch causing the left one to flicker, I called my dealer who told me to bring the bike back he had a look and took the bike in and replaced the left side switch gear taken off another bike he had in store which zontes told him to do as I was at the shop all done in 1 hour. Zontes from my experience are really good at helping with any problems. I've messaged them a couple of times asking questions about parts and they've got back to me reasonably quickly. I'm really happy with the bike, my dealer and Zontes themselves.

      I've just seen Zontes have launched a Z2 125 in mainland Europe. Not as smart as your bike but with the same engine so they must have faith in it 👍🏻

    • @Mean-bj8wp
      @Mean-bj8wp  3 роки тому +1

      The only issue I had was an air flow temperature fault which has been rectified under warrenty. It was a common fault in colder countries. The ECU was replaced now it's tip top. All new bikes have the new mapping on the ECU and it's no longer an issue. The bike is really fantastic and I've had 77mph out of it and that's with me using a peaked helmet and a big bag causing drag. I'm 6'2" and with all my gear on and the bag I weight 19 stone and that's good for any naked 125.

    Lovely looking bike but I’ve got to disagree about it being the best looking 125 on the market, I’ve got a 2021 Yamaha MT125 in tech black with a tail tidy, led indicators, radiator guard & a Puig front screen, which is a right eye opener, I just wish I could put a picture on........

      Beauty is in thd eye of the beholder. I don't believe it's the best looking 125 as I do prefer the Duke, but I'd think it's the best looking Chinese 125. I do prefer how my U looks over the MT and don't get me I'm a yam fan my 2 favourite bikes I've owned have both been yamaha's.
