Great review. I just started playing last summer and this is the driver that helped me get started. I don't bag one now as I find its too understable, but I keep my old one for when I'm taking someone new out. It's a really nice disc for slower arms as I find it will glide a lot farther at slow speeds than a mid range would.
Thank you! Those are great points! I’m always interested in discs, especially for beginners and some of the older guys (my dad), slower arms. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for the review! I just ordered an Underworld Origio Burst and I wanted to see how they fly. It's my first very under stable disc. I'm really interested in seeing how well it performs as a roller as well. Cheers!
It is definitely understable. I think that everyone should learn how to throw understable discs. You’ll get more out of all your discs! I should have done a couple rollers. It will definitely finish right (RHBH).
Thanks for these super informative reviews. Great for a relatively new player! A quick question, what would say the differences/similarities are between a lighter weight disc in premium plastic (eg the VIP air) vs a heavier disc in the base plastics? I can only get the premium plastics where iive, but prefer learning with the more understable discs whilst I am learning. I just ordered a Lat 64 Diamond in Opto to test out this very theory.
First off I think the premium plastics are the way to go. Lighter weight discs will beat in faster. I have a theory that one can throw with more arm speed with a lighter disc. I’ve been trying this out with Lucid Trespasses. The difference only comes out to be 10-15’. (This would be 159g vs 174g). The flights of both discs should be similar, but may differ by mold. Base plastic consistent with most premiums out of the box, just won’t last as long (keep same flight pattern). Diamond is a solid disc! Flies nice and straight, easy to get up to speed. Thank you for your comments/questions!
It depends on the mold. I’ve been investigating this for a while now. With the Underworld, there may not be too much difference out of the box, BUT one thing I can guarantee is that the origio will beat up faster and the disc will become less stable than what its more premium counterpart.
Very useful comparison! Thanks!

@@BeaverBranch thank you! Makes a lot of sense and reinforces my instincts!
wonder if there's a big difference for same disc on plastic, origio vs higher end like VIP? Do you know?

@@BeaverBranch got it!
What weight is your underworld in this video?
It’s 175 grams. This is also the origio/baseline plastic. My brother has one in VIP, he seems to be getting just a little more stability.
Easy to throw. Difficult to pronounce.
