- Elder Dayo Odeyemi was Dr Sikiru Ayinde Barrister's publicist for many years. He has written books on Dr SAB and now we have him respond to questions arising.
Enjoy.
Elder Dayo is still managing Dr sikiru ayinde barrister image very well even in death. he's been very careful to confirm some allegations against Ayinde barrister. awon ti won soju ti won tun se eyin niyen.God bless you sir
Whatever baba hunter says about late barrister is 💯 truth. Long live sir, may SAB soul continue to rest in perfect peace
One of the people causing trouble between musicians... All talk about Kollington, Wasiu, and Sunny Ade is totally biased ..kollington and Barrister were childhood friends before SAB employed you..Wasiu's first album was'Abode Mecca' in 1980 and Kollington Kollington began recording for Nigerian EMI in late 1974 and early 1975. K1 album was never to rank Barrister 14!! but was based on the listing of popular Elders of "were" at that time..
Agbaletu is a very hardworking dude... He is success bound..
He deliberately dodged some questions that ve a negative impact on barrister image, Barrister married the daughter of his friend Adisa pelle without the consent of his father , Baba himself confirmed it in his music and interview.
Barrister first record was in 1965 the same year Kolington ayinla won president azikwe competition cup on were music that proof Kolington ayinla can also wax record then maybe he doesn't have helper barrister knows how to buy his ways from beginning when Barry was dragging it with ogidan in mushin Killington Ayinla is very mush around in ebutemeta agbaletu go and find out
Agbaletu ,Baba is tilted toward Barrister
Delẹ, well done. In my opinion, this man is very bias, how can he say Wasiu started music almost at the same time with Kollington Ayinla. However, barrister said it himself that Kollington Ayinla brought him to the Nigerian army. Why is he saying they didn't friend for so long.
Agbaletu! Great job! Elder Dayo Odeyemi was calmed and collected and still unquestionably remain a force to be reckoned with in Juju and Fuji that transcends cultural boundaries. Please invite him again to your show when his voice gets better. I wasn't able to understand him as much as I wanted. Keep up the good job!
Good job with professional skills and fact finding questions. Keep it up. Thanks
This dele is a very intelligent guy who knows how to draw words from someone. It's only baba tiamiyu who knows his gimmicks❤.
The album KSA did for Alawode and oro igbagbo are the same, Alawode is side A while oro igbagbo is side B
Adisa pele was the man that Mr. Adeyanju was talking about
Oke-Offa Atipe clan (Ibadan), we are here. Let me now continue listening.
Agbaletu, well done. I always enjoy your interviews with superstars and appreciate the valuable insights we gain from them. However, I am not a fan of Barrister, Kolington, Sunny Ade, or Obey. If you listen carefully to what Mr. Odeyemi is saying, you will notice he does have a favorite musician, either KSA or Barrister, as most of his comments are based on these two. It is okay to have a favorite, but in interviews like this, it is important to remain unbiased and present information as it is. Regarding Barrister and Kolington, even the King of Fuji himself confirmed before his passing that he and Kolington had been friends since a young age. This is a story both Kollington and Barrister affirm, so presenting a different narrative is confusing. Similarly, while you praise Sunny Ade over Obey, remember that these two have commended each other as the best Juju musicians. What is the reason for this contradiction? Ultimately, it is up to the audience to decide what to believe.
Timely interview. Elder was my egbon and senior colleague at the same time. He was tossed to Egbado by the Sketch mgmt when i knew him. His closeness to Barrister got him much beef from Sketch bosses who often accused him of abscoonding from his base to follow Barrister. Ayo Jamiu, a messenger on Sketch's subdesk took to Elder's template to be pushing stories for Wasiu, known as Talazo that time.
Interesting interview. Great insight into the lives of these great Yoruba musical legends.
Another masterpiece interview as always. Good job brov.
Both (SAB & GKA) claimed they were in the army about the same time. Nice interview, baba ṣoju ṣẹyin SAB
