@@T_B_C_L Hell, thank YOU for installing it correctly! That's the biggest hurdle we (Mechman) has! :) Shared your video on your Facebook page. Hopefully this helps you on exposure and our customers on belt related questions.
What up bro nice truck ! Got one almost the same but in midnight blue ! I have a 370 alternator I switch the old belt with a new one but I think it’s too long because the truck makes a noice as its going t shift. Only happens when I give it full throttle I would hear that slipping sound then the gear would kick and it’s gone. Have you had any issues like that before going with a smaller belt ? I’m going to change it out I hope that fixes my issue. Nice truck 💪🏼
I think I only drove the truck once on the original belt, so I never had an issue. The new belt has worked perfectly and is still in range on the wear bar. This should fix your issue. Good luck and thx for watching 🍻
Yeah I just bought 3 belts one was a 915k6 the other was a 910k6 none of them fit my regular belt was a 635k6 I bought a 630k6 fits perfect for my caddilac escalade 6.2
@@dennisgonzalezcovers it probably will but if you want to be sure. Find the stock belt for your truck, navigate to here www.gates.com/us/en.htmland. First find your belt to see the specs, then, find one longer or shorter or whatever it is you are looking for.
You will know when you install the alternator. Just take a look at where the tensioner lands after it's installed. My guess is you should be fine though.
Nice!
Thank you for making a badass alternator!

Glad you got it worked out 🍻
@@T_B_C_L did you check the voltage I checked mines and it's between 14.56 to 14.40
@@davntelisha19 the mechman alternator is internally regulated so the output will depend on the load but mine is normally around 14.4v
Thanks for commenting. About to start a 2013 Escalade ESV audio project. This helps me know which belt I'll need, after the Mechman/ big 3 upgrade 🔊
Will this belt work on an 08 silverado I recently got the 400 amp mechman alternator and having trouble finding right belt ??

That the same belt i bought with a pulley kit i put on my truck, and im just now upgrading my alternator so i should be good belt wise then?

What year is the truck and what size was the original alternator?
2012, 145a
What belt you recommended for a 250 amp alternator for a 2000 gmc sierra pick up
Can't really remember one in particular. You need to see where your belt adjustment is and measure the difference and order the belt accordingly.
Yo bro what's the number of the belt you got
Did you even watch the video.... 😂 I showed and said the belt number multiple times and it's in the description!
Yeah I watched it but I'm always multitasking
@@davntelisha19 I know what you mean.... It's all good brotha!
That truck is pressure
I'm not sure what that means but.... Thx 😁
@@T_B_C_L meaning lit, A1.
@@BravoakaMrAlabama I guess I'm to old for those slang words 😂, thx bro
