I see others already beat me to the Dark Side of the Ring comments. Can't wait to see the Bedlam episode on the 3rd season.
it will be crazy for sure
It was crazy
Wrestling needs more Bruiser Bedlams and fewer Marco Stunts.
That was a great Macho Man story.
Johnny really was a nice guy met him a few times
SMW was a 5 year deal who knows what these guys did the other 90% of their life. Quite a few you listed tho died in very odd and unforeseen ways.
Back when you could be convicted of a crime and still cross the border
Hell, just being accused of a crime excludes you from going to canada.
I lifted at his Bad Boys Gym in Hamilton 93-95
I live in Hamilton Ontario, which is Johnny K9 hometown. He was very well known here. In fact, the old Satan’s Choice Biker clubhouse which later became hells angels clubhouse, is just a few doors down from my house on my street…
Bedlam/Johnny K-9 killed kayfabe for me. he was working memphis as Taurus Bulba, protege of Mongolian Stomper. One saturday morning, Bulba worked Mark Starr. Starr's main offensive move was the hiptoss. he used it 8 times, and Bulba jumped early each time. i was so mad i didn't watch for 2 weeks.
stuff about johnny k9 is true my dad was friends with him ...i've heard stories and know he helped my dad out with stuff before
takin care of some people huh
I had the "pleasure" of knowing Ion when he was dating a friend of mine's mother in Hamilton, Ont....and the Bruiser you knew was FARRRRR different when he was at home. Us kids at the time knew, if "Johnny" was coming home, you'd better make yourself scarce in a hurry.
Far different then he was at home? That's all well and good, But doesnt negate the fact hes a piece of shit
@@snakeman6124 I think he was saying that Bruiser WAS a piece of shit.
@@sh987 Oh....Maybe Lol Edge....If that is indeed you Lmao
Details, or silence out of you
I cant wait to see the dark side of the ring episode with bruiser bedlam. WWE should've signed him after his tryout match, esp with jim cornette as his manager, he wouldve been a nice fit I think, big strong bald guy who benched 600.
He was with WWE but got fired for Cocaine use in 91
What did you think of the episode now that it's out?
@@ResistingDeath I saw it last night actually, thank you for asking. I must say I loved it, although i wish cornette had more comments in the episode. And i guess i was hoping to learn a bit more about bruiser as a person and the kind of upbringing he had etc. But it's only a 1 hour episode with commercials. The grisly smith episode might've been my favorite, along with the brian pillman. What about you?
@@citizenbeeswax7985 I really enjoyed the episode too. I agree I would have liked to see more of Jim's commentary on him but to be fair, Jim didn't have much direct interaction with Bedlam. There is an old school OVW fan meet up video online where you can see Jim talking about the same stories with Bedlam sitting beside him. I had very limited knowledge of Bedlam prior to this episode so I was pretty intrigued by everything I saw. :)
@@ResistingDeath what I love about bedlam is that there were no gimmicks with him. He was truly an eccentric unpredictable badass who didn't need to act much at all. Wrestling would be so much better now if there were more bruiser bedlams, regardless of how green he may have been. One of wrestling best kept secrets. After watching the episode, I sit here wanting a part 2 and 3 of the documentary! RIP -|-
He was on wiretap trying to connect a meth deal with this gang boss.
Randy Savage puts over a jobber at BEST yet lame ass Hogan couldnt even put Macho over, Macho shoulda went over when the Mega Powers explode in my opinion
*should have gone
Not
shoulda went
I need to dookie but it's early Saturday morning but I'm tired and dont wanna get up. I'm so confused. What's a man to do?
Hogan sucked off Vinnie mac. Guess macho didn't
FACT
Well Dunn are both dead as well as Joey Maggs Buddy Landel and there might be more
Terry Gordy, Doug Furnas, Brad Batten, Spot, and Brian Hildebrand.
Punk got an incredible pop on that 1 night!!!!! Stone Cold has them every time the glass shattered.
El Guapo = Bas Rutten
El Chapo = Drug Lord
Someone check on Bobby Heenan STAT!
RIP
Coming here to get caught up before the Darkside of the Ring episode! Cant wait
He was a great heal
Never believe whatever a biker’s tellin’ ya
I cannot believe Randy Savage agreed to lose to that guy (like he was ever going to advance past SMW).
Guys always had the better interest of the business in mind back then. Jacques Rougeau was promoting a WWF event in his hometown, he booked himself in a match with Hogan. Hogan walks in to the locker room and says "Ok brother how we doing this? How are you beating me?" Rougeau was taken back and Hogan says "This is your deal you are paying for this whole event, you're beating me tonight.
Yeah, I remember when this occurred. But rarely do you hear people praise Hogan for having the best interest of professional wrestling in mind. But the Rougeau thing was a nice gesture. Still, Bruiser Bedlam was total trash and somehow the person behind the gimmick was substantially worse. But Savage was always the man.
He was basically Clay from Sons of Anarchy
Guy sounds like a nutcase.
Does whatever he's told, even if it's murder and bombings?
Cory Scopis Is it loyalty.... or folk taking advantage of him because they knew he would do anything they ask out of this loyalty, sometimes you've got to walk away from loyalty
Yeah it would be great to have saps who did anything I demanded without question all the time
That's not loyalty, it's taking advantage of a nutcase
BigRig Joe Correct, guy sounded like an idiot
Yes
Does whatever he's told....? Yeah, just like the U.S. Army in Vietnam and Iraq...! Right?
Cornette swears too much.
You should swear more.
That's part of his charm and what makes him entertaining!!!
You can always tell when a liberal is talking, all they do is swear
The fucks get old at times... When he's talking about Shitstain, all the fucks come off natural and funny.
God bless President Trump
