Cal basically gained what is a limited amount of skill compared to Obi-Wan from start to end of Fallen Order. If this Vader met Luke on Cloud city or the second death star, he'd be toast.
He wasn't trying to destroy him, he was trying to subdue him and recruit him to his cause. Kinda counter productive to kill the intended person, wouldn't you say? Not to mention he held back in order to test Luke's progress. On the second DS he held back because he didn't want to kill his son but disguised it as being "loyal" to Sidious' plan.
If Luke wasn't his son, or he didn't know about that fact. Then yes, Luke would pretty much have died on Bespin, (then again, the situation probably wouldn't have developed to what it was in that case either) but probably have kept up an even fight at least on the second DS.

Vadar is iconic - but I never really felt how scary he was… until this part of the game.
The heaviness of his steps when he approaches, the pure power and helplessness he made me feel was amazing.
I felt like the entire game I was just playing with a toy lightsaber.
This whole sequence is done SO well, but the thing that really gets me is at the beginning. Her reaction. Just… imagine it, for a second. Imagine being SO terrified, so utterly scared of something that all you can do when you encounter it is… stand there. Spine ramrod straight, breath coming in short, quick bursts. Heart beating a hundred miles a minute, adrenaline screaming through your veins with nowhere to go. Your brain is alternately yelling, “Fight!” and, “Run!”, but you can do neither - because you know there is no point.
Now imagine being able to INSTILL that sort of fear, not even by your presence but by the sound of your approach alone.

Love how just like a horror movie villain, Vader just appears out of thin air at the elevator.
When Darth Vader shows up, you run. I like that. Proper respect for a proper villain.
Darth Vader is better portrayed here, in the three minutes he appears in this game, than the half hour or so amount of screentime he gets in the Obi-Wan show.
I don't know about that. Cal was a measly padawan when Order 66 happened, while Obi-Wan was a skilled Jedi Master. Cal basically gained what is a limited amount of skill compared to Obi-Wan from start to end of Fallen Order. And Vader has long been known for his obsession of hunting down his old master, and ruthless during any Jedi hunt, just as shown in the show when he killed innocent people in trying to get Obi-Wan to show himself.

The soundtrack of Anakin's Dark Deeds during this was absolute perfection. When I first watched that scene in RotS of him cutting down the Separatists on Mustafar with this track playing, and seeing his glowing Sith eyes, being only 6 years old, I was petrified.
And now again with Vader in the suit fully, officially consumed by the darkness, fueled by pure anger and hatred, to where he's become the final boss in a game... Except, what is this? With no health bar? Only means one thing. One objective to win.
Run.
"Vader is slow": Vader literally chasing you across a colapsing building, while you run at full speed, like it is just a summer walk. 💀
I know people will want to read about the "vader is slow" thing, so just for the people who didn't know and were curious enough to find this, vader's force speed ability is so powerful he reaches lightspeed. Without it he's slow and clunky and that's mostly his hands, his legs are also hindered but he can definitely use his body
Love how it goes from incredible, beautiful, cutscene to jerky motion as the player tries to remember how to steer in a blind panic.
Such a great detail. I haven’t played the game yet myself.
1:10 I find it funny that on paper is sounds like quippy Marvel dialogue, which has no place in a scene like this, and is very overused nowadays, and thanks to the VA's excellent performance, it feels very human and *real*
