I subscribed, because this set up made things so much more understandable for the config because i've scrolled through so many tutorials and a lot of my streams ended up not having any game audio at all.
i've watched so many tutorials and 1 one of them was really helpful because it was simplified and i understood it enough just watching but there were small things that were left out that you actually addressed and that made this whole thing so much easier. this is by far the most helpful video i have found so thank you very much!
This was actually incredibly helpful. You helped me progress in making a good OBS Setup immensely. Now I just need to figure out how to separate each member in a Discord VC as their own audio tracks.
I went from Voicemeeter Banana, to Voicemeeter Potato, and could not for the life of me separate my Elgato and Spotify music from the Desktop Audio. After hours of attempts THIS video resolved my headache. YOU SIR are a blessing!
ok thats cool each audio is separate but in recordings they're all still stacked when i edit them, i want individual audio tracks to edit or disable in the case if im listening to music and only want pure gameplay audio in post
this tutorial was super straightforward and helpful! thanks so much. and I do like the camera! I'm in the market for a new webcam and will check it out.
Hi Brandon, I got a question. I am using the SC3 and the AM8. While I can perfectly hear and capture my mic audio in my recordings, I am not able to hear my custom sounds from the SC3 custom buttons. I did hold the button until its white and recorded the sound, but it wont playback for me, just cant hear it! Let me know if theres any solution to this, thanks! :)
Hello! That's so weird as I've never had this issue. I was able to get it to play on my end without issue. Is this the same for all of the custom buttons? Also, are you trying to capture your mic audio or other sounds?
@@DarkenedCyrus I have my am8 connected via XLR to the SC3, the power cable of the sc3 and the Line Out from the SC3 to my PC. Is there anything else I need to connect? Edit: To answer your question, I am only capturing my mic audio.
Really good video. Explanation was perfect. But I have one question, How to export video and audio separately, to work on Final Cut for exemple. Is it possible?
I'm having trouble with streaming with this setup, when I check my stream output I can only choose one audio track, so I'm confused on how to get obs to capture all of my audio sources at the same time, thanks
Way better explained than any other video I've watched, thank you!! The only thing I'm struggling with now is how to input my Xbox party chat on a beta source to separate it. No matter what I click for the link, even with an Xbox party open, it doesn't put any party audio in. Any advice? Not sure if IM doing something wrong.
I thought your Elgato camera was pretty good - clear and detailed on your face and didn't seem to mess up focus despite your microphone was closer than you were. Also - awesome video, but a question, Is there a way for me to lower what I am hearing, but not what my followers are hearing? Situation: I'm streaming music on the "purple" app via the relatively new DJ program. Would like my viewers to hear my music source at full volume, but sometimes I need to watch a UA-cam video or need to listen to something else, it's great now my viewers don't hear it - but I can't really either because my music source remains the loudest element. Thanks for any help.
Sure, and yes. What you adjust in the OBS platform won’t adjust sound to you, rather to your listeners. Also, thank you for the kind words and thoughts on the camera!
Every time I restart OBS it stops working, the scene stays and says spotify and ''a specific'' song but makes no sound so have to put it in again every time, anyone else?
Question, if I choose to record will these tracks show up separately in recording as well or will it appear as one individual track? Hope it’s not a dumb question
If you set up separate audio tracks for recording, it will. Just doing this method won’t create that separation for you. I think I’ve made a video on this already.
bro ive been looking at videos doing everything for months i do everything spot on it seems but i cannot get the audio to come out only the game and my mic
Please test the K668, Yes the cheap $17 mic from FiFine. I just bought it and I cant tell a significant difference between it vs the K688 or the AM8, It does sound just like all microphones sound a bit different and its a lot more sensitive but that allowes me to lower the gain pretty significantly to the point that I get less noise than with the other microphones. Sure, I might have gotten lucky or maybe I dont like quality but would love for someone more skilled than me to be able to test it out.
Hey I'm using my steam deck and it has a desktop mode, downloaded obs flat pack and it's fully to the latest version and it doesn't have application audio capture
I play on PC but use Xbox PC App to party chat with my friends. Can I set it up to where only my voice is captured and not everyone in the party chat? I don't want my friends in the party to be heard during the stream. Thanks!

This is a 10/10 explanation of how to do this. I literally cannot thank you enough for this.

Very helpful... I never realized you could disable and re add the primary sounds and that you could use a scene as a source!
this video has saves my life with audio stuff. thank you!

You need to assign each channel in recording main settings.
Actually useful and simple! well done! much love man
Really clear and easy guide to follow, big thanks, will try this out for sure :>

thanks for the tutorial now i can talk to my friends and watch youtube while recording
BEAUTIFUL TUTORIAL! A GOD AMONG MEN, REALLY! THANK YOU, KIND HUMAN!

i have 1 question tho. how do i get like like desktop sounds to play with out music doubling so that my sound alerts etc still play?
yes, plz, I need to know this too. I have a soundboard on my stream deck, and now I can't hear it on stream :(
Add a source Capture Audio In and select your Speakers/headphones. In this way you will see your Stream Deck sounds show up ;)
Very helpful, dead ass though do you thing that camera would work well for a Vtuber?
I LOVE YOU BRANDON
I LOVE YOU TOO FRIEND

@@DarkenedCyrus Oh gotcha - this video combined with the SteelSeries sonar thing I found made it work perfectly. Thanks again!
I got a question. say i have a streamdeck. where would the sound for the streamdeck go?
If you use Voicemod as the sound sources for your streamdeck sounds, you need to add an application source for voicemod specifically
Every time I restart OBS it stops working, the scene stays and says spotify and ''a specific'' song but makes no sound so have to put it in again every time, anyone else?
How can I mute a window on my headphones but make it audible in stream?
Question, if I choose to record will these tracks show up separately in recording as well or will it appear as one individual track? Hope it’s not a dumb question

what if i want to edit videos and have seperate audio tracks?
can we do twitch vod on obs with this method ?

Both the mic and the cam look good
But you seem a lot brighter on the face cam pro is all
But I love the sound of the microphone
Thanks for the input! I’ll see if I can match those exposures a little better before my final review of it.
@@DarkenedCyrus BIG appreciate 👍
im thinking on picking it up as a second cam
so how can i watch something live and record the audio but not let my stream hear it

how would it work if you had a console i want to split my audio and the ps5 audio for editing
i figured it out! just track stuff
my OBS isnt picking up the sound from discord or my game. i did everything right and im on latest OBS. any ideas? thank you
You did the application audio capture and chose those programs?
@@DarkenedCyrus yes, i also tried it with game capture. it did not work even with a compatible game
Is there an option where game chat wont be grabbed?
Nope
How do you do this with video capture device?
Video capture device already separates the audio.
@@DarkenedCyrus So you've done this with video capture device and your music wasn't recorded? I can always hear the music in my recordings. Thanks.
